To everyone concerned with my makeup. I have never claimed to not struggle with this world and being of the world. My prayer is that you focus on Scripture I share than what I am doing, than my home, and my life. As I AM NOT THE PERFECT EXAMPLE FOR YOU. Let me repeat, you should NOT be looking at me, but JESUS CHRIST as your example. He is perfect, I am not. ❤ May God bless you all. 🙏

Well said- I’m one of seven children of a godly homemaker and she was awesome in every way.she always took care of her appearance every day- wore dresses every day( even mowed the grass in a dress😀) she and my father were the perfect couple - so respectful of each other. The time was the 40’s and the 50’s - the most wonderful time in our American history.

You're beautiful. I feel better with makeup on too. Others need not judge . I'm thinking of the Bible verse 1Samuel 16:7, that says," Man looks at the outward appearance, but God looks on the heart ". ❤️ God bless you. I love the title of your video that's what " attracted " me to your channel.

I recently came across your channel. I was a nurse for 7 years until a car accident injured me and now I’m home with the kids. I see God’s hand in the situation but I am struggling. Struggling trusting God to provide financially, struggling submitting to my husband, and struggling with a changing lifestyle. I’m homeschooling as well. Thank you for your videos. They truly encourage me and remind me that God is all I need. This isn’t a season of life I ever saw myself in but while I’m here and waiting on direction I feel as though I’m where I’m supposed to be and your videos remind me of that.

❤️ You have a beautiful testimony. It is definitely hard to surrender yourself to Him and His plan for you. I still struggle with this all the time. What a blessing you are to your family. I know you are taking all of the wonderful skills from nursing and applying it to your teaching and care for your family. You may not know it, but your story may impact more people than you know and may bring them to a stronger faith.❤️ Surrender yourself to Him everyday, that's all we can do. God bless you and your beautiful family. Thank you for commenting, and allowing yourself to be vulnerable.❤️

I wanted to pass on what I heard a pastor speak on--some years ago. He was saying how men have been forever "beating women over the head" with the "submitting to your husband' scripture. He was teaching about how in the original language--the word used actually means "cling to". Not submit, as the English translation says! Scripture (English translation) also says to husbands and wives--"submit to ONE ANOTHER". CLING TO--one another. Interesting how knowing the original wording/language can completely change the meaning from what we've been told. This is why I believe marriages are a partnership, both people working in harmony. Not one being above--with the other below in a subservient position. Translations certainly weren't perfectly done... and in some cases errors such as this can produce problems. Because of what I've learned from that brave pastor--if I have a question about a scripture word, I don't hesitate to check the original Hebrew or Greek. I want to know what was ACTUALLY said in the original context.

I wanted to be a stay at home mom, but my husband became very abusive and so I had to divorce him and raise our sons myself. I had to be the mom and the dad, the home maker and the bread winner. They are grown now, but two (twins) are still at home and working towards making their own lives. I’m extremely exhausted and tired and sick of working. I’m a night shift nurse and I’ve been having to work full time for 36 years. If you get to be a home maker and not have to work outside of the home but get to focus on your family as a woman should be able to do you are VERY VERY blessed.

We should never expect ourselves to be as we were before having kids or when we were 20 years younger or even 10 but we should expect ourselves to be the best version of our current selves we can be. That means caring for your body and feeding it correctly and making time to move it and other stuff. Age and children should never be an excuse to put our bodies in a bad state.

I don't believe we will ever be able to own a home. Your story sounds so similar to ours! I was saddened by having to move so often (for my children's sakes), mostly because it was difficult to make, and keep any kind of community when we were changing the location of our kid's activities so often. However, even though God blessed me with the fairly natural ability to be content wherever we were, even with the moving, my husband was getting very depressed. So one day I had the idea to look at houses on the opposite side of the country (Eastern Canada), where buying a house was actually a realistic possibility, even on one income. So after some prayer and research, we took the plunge and headed out here. Within a very very stressful year and several moves in our new province, the Lord graciously provided us with a home in a rural part of the province. We had to leave our church family, any family that we still had contact with, and have to make sacrifices all the time by being so rural with now 6 children, but we finally don't have to move anymore, Lord willing. I pray for you that the Lord will provide a more long-term home for your precious family---even if it is something like a long-term rental. But until then, or if not ever, I pray you all can be able to embrace wherever the Lord leads you, how ever often that is. ❤❤❤. For you can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens you. ❤

He started with the Rosary and Bible in a Year before making any decisions. We've been married for almost 10 years now. 3ish years ago I really looked into Catholicism and how it relates to Scripture, and my heart was set on fire. ❤️ Praying for you, don't underestimate the power of the Rosary! I know the Lord allowed me to come across this video and the comments as well. Because I've been a nurse for 25 years, and in 2018 I had to leave nursing due to an autoimmune issue which has been such a challenge to my physical health. Our children are grown and have their own homes and families so I had such a difficult time transitioning to being at home and not being able to help others through nursing as I once could. I found myself having more time to seek the Lord and pray for others which gave me a renewed sense of purpose in this season of my life. I did teach myself to knit and crochet to make blankets and scarfs for the homeless and for newborns. I hope to be able to return to nursing one day if that's the Lord's plan. Yet I've learned to be content in all circumstances and situations just like Paul teaches us in God's Word. Thank you for this channel and for those other nurses who shared a comment. This nurse was blessed to know that I'm not alone, and that God has me and (us) right where we're supposed to be❤

I often miss it and want to return but know I simply cannot do it. That is upsetting to me. I have two teenagers but they honestly don’t require much care. I'm with you - it would be different if we left nursing and had a family to love and be loved by. Many say they "get it" but they don't....a lot harder. I was a nurse for 25 years, then was left for dead when I fell very ill in 2020 with no medical help which was traumatizing. Lost a lot of"friends' but don't take it personally....every one is addicted to their screens and selves. It's travesty. From one nurse to another, I really get it. I was in it when it was good, before Obamacare and then up to 2020....suffocating valleys.

I recently came across your channel and it has been a blessing. I had to pause this at around 16:45 because you were really speaking to my heart. My parents were, and still are if allowed, very mentally and emotionally abusive to my brother and myself. For this reason, I gravitated more toward my paternal grandmother. She was everything I wanted to be when I grew up. She is my biggest influence in all that I do. She passed away 3 years ago, and I realized in her death I had made her an idol. She was my Jesus even though she was always pointing me toward the real Jesus all the time. I have grown so much in my faith and my relationship with the real Jesus that I realized how much of Him I was missing and needed so desperately! I miss my Mema so deeply that I greive and my chest becomes tight just mentioning her name but I needed her death to push me towards Jesus and fully leaning on Him. Please keep sharing what God is putting on your heart! You are furthering His Kingdom with your videos and sharing God through your ministry! Thank you for following where the Lord leads you that we all may be blessed by Him through you! ❤

What a powerful realization you had about idolizing her and not Jesus. That is something we can all so easily do (I have done it lots!) The fact you came to that conclusion is huge, many people know still idolize others over Jesus. This is such a beautiful testimony which pointed you to Jesus. ❤️ This is very inspiring, and I pray others will use their pain and grieving to find Him as well. I'm so glad you shared.

Oh my dear sister in Jesus, you exude the Lord's love here and it is not your make up, hair, or anything that you place upon your body, it is your spirit that touches people. Your video, which thankfully I just discovered, is meditative and provides a glimpse into normalcy that many is so rare today.
Sadly our society are programed to think that appearance and profession trump all else. Watching you with your precious little ones brought me back to my childhood and that of my children's. My heart hurts when I see children punked in front of a T.V. as a way to keep the children occupied. My children, from toddler stage, were involved in everything I did.
Like most people, I struggled with loving God more than anyone on this earthly plane but after a near death accident where Jesus, our savior, came to me, the all encompassing love from Him is beyond description. I did not want to come back to my life, but He told me it was not yet my time and that my purpose had not been completed.
Dear Kelsey, just know that your videos are so important and provide for people, a window into the beauty of our Heavenly Father's word and love. Keep shining your light and be blessed.

The Lord is doing such a work to strip away all the attachments and identity I placed even in good things, like homemaking and motherhood. If all I have is my Bible and my family, will I be okay? Absolutely. Has it been difficult to learn that? Incredibly. But I know it will all be worthwhile to walk more closely with the Lord.

How lovely, beautiful and inspiring this has been listening to you today. I am gradually trying to pull away from this world and draw closer to the father and be content with less and with what I already have and not wanting what I see others have.

I didnt realize i needed this so much, but i definitely do. I will focus on these verses and be praying over them. Over us. Over our kids that we would be detached from this world that doesnt even truly satisfy, but attach fully to God. Thank you for sharing this 🙏 God bless you 🙏 ❤️

I totally agree about getting ready for the day helps your overall mood and productivity. We have all 3 of the Magnolia Table cookbooks and just love just about every recipe we’ve made from them so far. I made the chicken n’ dumplings this week which I’ve made several times now, but I do halve the recipe.
When I was living alone several years ago I decided not to go on my laptop for a whole weekend and it was nice. But then on Monday I couldn’t get it to work anymore 😅 I was testing myself to see if I wanted to get rid of Internet but I never did since that’s how I pay my bills. But I do think there’s so many more things I could have done back then if I hadn’t been addicted to Pinterest and Netflix. Nowadays I am so busy with homemaking, work, motherhood, and being a wife that I have to sometimes force myself to slow down and take a break sometimes.
That bread looks amazing! Have a beautiful week Kelsey! ❤❤

I have all 3 as well and love them! My husband and I talk about that all the time. All of the time we wasted before kids binge watching Netflix was suchhhhh a waste! I'm like you, I rarely get on social media and spend time scrolling. I like to listen and watch things as I fold clothes, but my children keep me busy! I actually checked my phone usable, and Marco Polo was my number 1 since I chat with friends I'm not near. The internet can definitely be good or bad. Hope you have a great week! And that sounds about typical with the laptop situatuon 🤪

I lost my job a few months ago but after watching this, I am using God’s word and the Holy Spirit to guide me in this season. It’s hard to fill my days with productivity but I believe this is my season to practice my role in the home and cleaning house as this is something I neglected because I was always working. God bless you and your family.

Beautiful! Enjoyed this time hearing Gods Word and your understanding of these scriptures. I have been detaching more and more… no longer on Facebook. I kept hearing Gods Word echo in my mind…live a quiet peaceful life. Now making a conscious decision to watch where we shop. Our Walmart in our precious sweet small town in East TN has begun selling ‘adult toys’. They were at eye level for children. My husband spoke with management, and our Pastor. We have to take a stand for righteousness. It will be inconvenient to shop elsewhere but we cannot justify continuing and dishonor Christ. Thankful for The Holy Spirit molding us and pruning us little by little. He is worthy and oh so grateful to be His. May He continue to bless you and your family❤️

What an encouragement! This is beautiful. I love that you are standing up for your beliefs, and fighting against the "social norm." How terrible they are bringing those things in! I love what you said, "He is molding and pruning us little by little." It's not always big changes that are made! May I share your comment in a video?
