I believe the newer brake sensors do not have the pin part that goes in the hole of the pad anymore. Thank you for the video.

The speed sensor's signal is used by many systems. The ABS is one of them. Traction Control such as Lexus VSC is one of them. Traction Control is Bosch. Brake wear could contribute to one or more wheels stopping quicker than another affecting the Wheel Speed Sensor. The Wheel Speed Sensor is a true sensor working like a Dimmer switch in the home. The Check Brake light is a fancy Idiot Light. The Brake Pad Wheel Sensor is a switch and set to switch at a certain thickness. It doesn't measure brake thickness, it indicates by switching on/off. Calling it a sensor is deceiving, it is more an electrical part than an electronic part. It switches to an Open Circuit which is default if the switch gets damaged or removed causing the fault light (aka Idiot Light) to illuminate. Not all all cars have Electronic Brake Pad Wheel Sensors. My Tundra has the old school Brake Squealers. My IS300 and my wife's RX300 and every other car I owned with disc brakes had Squealers. I did a check on my wife's RX350 and it doesn't even have electronic Brake Pad Wear Sensors. The LS does. This switch/sensor doesn't replace a mechanic's inspection. The brake pads should be replaced before the indicator lamp illuminates.

It's the sensor that most non-mercedes service sensors don't change or install correctly with clicking them in properly. No chance a Mercedes dealership official service center would have done this. You had this done at a random shop. Just drive with it. I clear it every time I get in the vehicle, along with no airbags. That is a real problem. After 7 years, a Metcedes has an airbag module problem, so none of the 18 airbags work. (Common problem) 2000 dollars to recalibrate the module at Metcedes. Money Pit

Hello Diesel Mercedes. the German lady urgently needs a beauty treatment 😅🔧👍. new front wheel bearings, new brake discs and pads all around 🔧👍. the electronics will annoy you 😅. the W163 ML was a bit simpler. I would buy ATE brake discs and pads. Wheel bearing either original Mercedes, .or from Lemforder. Definitely not from MEYLE! Best regards from Germany.

There is a good chance Mercedes uses Timken bearings. Mercedes isn't going to open up a bearing plant. I have installed bearings from a Mercedes box on my 1970 El Camino. 😀 Part numbers used to be easy like an "A2" Front Outer Wheel Bearing would fit Audi, BMW, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Infiniti, Jaguar, Jeep, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mercury, Mitsubishi.
