I love that the rule for what Transformers canon is in TF is that if Hasbro or Takara was in some way involved, it's canon. It's glorious. So literally every crossover, no matter how minor, has then permanently fused all of the series into transformers lore.
IDW comics had a series in which the main antagonists were a death squad of decepticon serial killers, apparently they realised due the fact that all their characters were robots they could get away with horror level scenes while still avoiding censorship. The acts of the villains included; Slaughtering a ship full of surrendering civilians, ripping out robotic entrails resembling metal intestines, eating autobot corpses, torturing an autobot into being a loyal pet in the form of a robotic attack dog, torturing loved ones in front of each other, and removing an autobots brain and shoving it into their mouths to see if they will bite down and kill themselves. Lots of lovely stuff like that.
@@twours It was in Sins of The Wreckers, where it was revealed that the mad Scientist Jhiaxus forced Arcee to be a fembot. This was before they had any idea on what a Fembot should be. It was later retconned with the comic flat out removing the part in later runs, as Fembots were shown to be another subspecies/race of Cybertronians from the colony of Caminus. They instead had it be so Arcee asked Jhiaxus for the mold change.
The deep lore of transformers confuses and frightens me.... Especially the idea that obiwan has permanent high ground in his starfighter transformer incarnation.

The Transformers Wiki is one of the few pop culture databases to perfectly balance information gathering with taking the piss. From what I can tell, TVTropes is coming in at second.
Probably my favorite gag in this whole Wiki is how G1 Rewind’s page is comprised entirely out of “did you know” questions, because that’s how he talked in the original cartoon.
Except the IDW 2005 Rewind, which has his own sub-page because he was (paraphrasing the wiki) "too prominent a character in that continuity for trivia factoids to adequately explain him."

The reason a lot of the captions hit as hard as they do is because they're a reward you get for continuous, outstanding wiki editing behavior (Keeping a formal tone on articles that aren't inherently a joke, citing sources for any additions, etc). I specify "articles that aren't inherently a joke" because while they do try to make an article for EVERYTHING, they also have two major factors going into these articles that parody wikis themselves. 1) If it's a cross-promotion, they try to describe it exclusively in how it pertains to the Transformers franchise, and thus any information not given in a transformers-related media is treated as speculation that shouldn't be listed on the page no matter how obvious it is for anyone else. For example, Darth Vader being Anakin Skywalker is covered due to a Star Destroyer toy that has both a Republic/Anakin mode, and an Empire/Vader mode, but most of his history - including the fact that he's Luke's father - is treated as speculation due to Transformers/Star Wars not actually covering most of his story, just vaguely referencing it through back-of-box descriptions and toy designs. 2) If there is an inherent lack of information about something, the article itself exists to highlight the absurdity of wikis that try to cover literally every little thing about a franchise, and often treats the concept as either mysterious and unknowable, or a footnote that kind of just exists.

Sickeningly nice Decepticons, and _completely bats**t crazy_ Autobots right out of a dystopian horror movie. _Shattered Glass_ Grimlock speaks eloquently and in full sentences. It's horrifying. So the _Shattered Glass_ version is the exact opposite of the 'normal' version.
One of the best captions I ever read was about an issue from MTME where Megatron (who became an Autobot in the IDW series) utterly decimates the Decepticon Justice Division. The caption said something along the lines of: "As an Autobot leader, the DJD failed to realize that Megatron now had The Touch. The Touch of Destruction."
2:32 (Pushes up glasses) Um, akshually, the pacifist version of Fakkadi resides in a different universe entirely, one where the Decepticons are heroic freedom fighters and the Autobots are despotic dubbed the "Shattered Glass" universe. It's a riff on the more well known "Mirror Universe" popularized in Star Trek... Seriously, though, as a Transformers nerd, it gives me so much joy watching other people get exposed to all the sprawling, insane deep-lore

fandom wikis are legitimately unusable. so many ads, loading, and banner ad pop ups that constantly appear when you're about to click something that gets moved ALL THE WAY up the page. spending even a few seconds on one makes my adblock go nuts

To clarify, “Shattered Glass” is the alternate multiverse where everything is opposite. Good and evil are switched, yadda yadda. For next time, I highly recommend Skywarp (G1), as the wiki categorized him as a Decepticon that likes to push others down stairs, and the toys page for both G1 Megatron and Optimus Prime. For example, there are toys out there of an Optimus Prime that transforms into a PlayStation, and a Megatron that transforms into a Sega Mega Drive. There’s also Erector (G1), JaM, and Trukk not Munkey. Just, don’t look into Kiss Players. We don’t talk about Kiss Players.
To the person/people on the Transformers wiki who wrote the descriptions under the pictures, I want you to know I love your work. (Side note: I love how bad geography is a consistent factor across the entire transformers franchise)
I don't think there is another fan wiki that is as hilarious( at least ones not intended to be satirical),the fact it doesn't use the fandom engine for website is a plus too.

There's 1d4chan too. You want Warhammer lore but taken as unseriously as possible (and also sometimes goes into details about the piece of lore it's talking about, rather than just expose it and be done with it like other wikis), that's your place to go.
i mean they do have obvious rules. the hiroshima prime article is watched very closely and making the obvious joke will get you banned. it's more that they know that chronicling every detail of this media based on toylines is silly so they have fun with it.
I remember TFWiki, such a fantastically fun and punny wiki. Definitely not what you want if you want an actual introduction to the series, though, or simple information about it. It's a FAN wiki in the most extreme sense - it's full of injokes and meant FOR people who are already fans.
So what wiki would I go to for actual information, too many pages are filled with jokes or personal opinions, which means it hard to tell what a fact or a shitpost. Usually joke wikis and canon wikis are separate things for a reason.
@@radiokunio3738 the reason the tf wiki isn't recommended for new viewers of tf is, in part, because of how SPRAWLING the lore is. there is so much and the wiki is so thorough it's hard to parse through and can be very overwhelming for a new fan to try and get an understanding using it. googling individual characters in individual continunities? sure! trying to get a grasp on the sheer scale of tf and all the iterations and the differences in characters? god no! the trick is picking a subject to focus on vs trying to hop pages all around continuities and lore. like most wikis i suppose!

My favorites are Supertoilet (first image on the "fan mode" page), and Dewbot (which has its own page). The page explaining the punishment of removing one's emotions and face also has a great one where this particular unfortunate fellow had his entire head replaced with a flat screen: "I have no face, and I must screen."
The amount of random lore shit that this series has is absolute insanity. Being somebody who used to read up the wiki a lot as a kid and watched a lot of the shows, this was a really funny video to me. Seeing people discover the chaos that is Transformers is always a fun time.

As a transformers fan I love this wiki, it's very informative and also hilarious, one of my favourites pages is a favourite character of mine, most of the page is just the wiki editors calling him a prick and posting panels from comics of getting his shit kicked in while also very thoroughly explaining the media and plot arcs he's involved in. Never stop TFwiki, I love you.

Honestly, I’m a Transformers fan, and whenever I am bored and got nothing else to do, I got to this wiki and spend hours on end there. There are so many things, so many articles, so many pages to look at and read, and the best part is that all of them are riddled with jokes like these. It’s awesome.
As a certified transformers nerd, I would like to point out a few details that may have been missed. During the Carbombya Segment, Vale touches on how Shattered Glass Carbombia is ruled by Abdul Fakkadi, a pacifist. This is due to Shattered Glass being an alternate dimension where every role is basically reversed, with the good guys being the bad guys and all that. At 9:00, the anime girl is known as 'Minerva', an Autobot Headmaster Junior.
Slight tidbit: Pacifist Abdul Fakkadi comes from the Shattered Glass Universe, where the Decepticons are the good guys and Autobots are the bad guys. Hence Abdul's pacifism.
The part that notes Abdul Fakkadi as a pacifist is in the Shattered Glass universe, which is an alternate universe where everything is "mirrored" like the Autobots are the evil ones and the Decepticons are the good guys. Makes sense that the guy attacking cruise ships for fun would be a pacifist in SG.
The wiki is full of gems like this. Maybe try looking up Death's Head, Gutcruncher, and Shattered Glass Nightbeat. You won't regret it. Just whatever you do, DON'T look up kiss players.

As a transformers fan, it’s a godsend to have a wiki as funny and informative as this one. Also it’s a good way to introduce some of the more confusing lore of the series. Anything but those goddamned fandom wikis is better though.
fandom wikis are legitimately unusable. so many ads, loading, and banner ad pop ups that constantly appear when you're about to click something that gets moved ALL THE WAY up the page. spending even a few seconds on one makes my adblock go nuts
Especially for understanding the JG1 world, which had become a complex set of connections between multiple universal streams including microcontunities
Or to put it another way, it's become multiple messy trainwrecks of continuity
Hats off to the guys at the wiki, for both their dedication and their sense of humor. Trust me, folks; you have no idea how deep the Transformers franchise/lore is.
To clarify, “Shattered Glass” is the alternate multiverse where everything is opposite. Good and evil are switched, yadda yadda.
For next time, I highly recommend Skywarp (G1), as the wiki categorized him as a Decepticon that likes to push others down stairs, and the toys page for both G1 Megatron and Optimus Prime. For example, there are toys out there of an Optimus Prime that transforms into a PlayStation, and a Megatron that transforms into a Sega Mega Drive. There’s also Erector (G1), JaM, and Trukk not Munkey.
Just, don’t look into Kiss Players. We don’t talk about Kiss Players.
The wiki page for Wheelie is also a goldmine.
There's like 3 different wiki pages for optimus prime toys. They keep on hitting the page size limit.

I don't think there is another fan wiki that is as hilarious( at least ones not intended to be satirical),the fact it doesn't use the fandom engine for website is a plus too.
All of us Transformers fans are absolute menaces. This wiki was and continues to be absolutely nuts, and I probably wouldn't be a fan any other way.

There's 1d4chan too. You want Warhammer lore but taken as unseriously as possible (and also sometimes goes into details about the piece of lore it's talking about, rather than just expose it and be done with it like other wikis), that's your place to go.

i mean they do have obvious rules. the hiroshima prime article is watched very closely and making the obvious joke will get you banned. it's more that they know that chronicling every detail of this media based on toylines is silly so they have fun with it.
I remember TFWiki, such a fantastically fun and punny wiki. Definitely not what you want if you want an actual introduction to the series, though, or simple information about it. It's a FAN wiki in the most extreme sense - it's full of injokes and meant FOR people who are already fans.
Yeah the Transformers: The Basics video series here on TH-cam is definitely the best introduction for people who just want to understand the lore.
So what wiki would I go to for actual information, too many pages are filled with jokes or personal opinions, which means it hard to tell what a fact or a shitpost. Usually joke wikis and canon wikis are separate things for a reason.

@@radiokunio3738 the reason the tf wiki isn't recommended for new viewers of tf is, in part, because of how SPRAWLING the lore is. there is so much and the wiki is so thorough it's hard to parse through and can be very overwhelming for a new fan to try and get an understanding using it. googling individual characters in individual continunities? sure! trying to get a grasp on the sheer scale of tf and all the iterations and the differences in characters? god no!
the trick is picking a subject to focus on vs trying to hop pages all around continuities and lore. like most wikis i suppose!
the transformers wiki is what happens when someone makes full fledged lore using only two diecast cars and puts a side of hilariosity just in case readers get bored

The TFWiki is a superb, incredibly comprehensive, insightful, fair, witty database. Truly a treasure.

The amount of random lore shit that this series has is absolute insanity. Being somebody who used to read up the wiki a lot as a kid and watched a lot of the shows, this was a really funny video to me. Seeing people discover the chaos that is Transformers is always a fun time.

As a transformers fan I love this wiki, it's very informative and also hilarious, one of my favourites pages is a favourite character of mine, most of the page is just the wiki editors calling him a prick and posting panels from comics of getting his shit kicked in while also very thoroughly explaining the media and plot arcs he's involved in. Never stop TFwiki, I love you.

I found this wiki from playing angry birds transformers and even that part of the wiki is pretty much almost complete. Even the editors are amazed the game is still active and that they have so much information jammed in that corner of tfwiki

Honestly, I’m a Transformers fan, and whenever I am bored and got nothing else to do, I got to this wiki and spend hours on end there. There are so many things, so many articles, so many pages to look at and read, and the best part is that all of them are riddled with jokes like these. It’s awesome.

As a certified transformers nerd, I would like to point out a few details that may have been missed.
During the Carbombya Segment, Vale touches on how Shattered Glass Carbombia is ruled by Abdul Fakkadi, a pacifist. This is due to Shattered Glass being an alternate dimension where every role is basically reversed, with the good guys being the bad guys and all that.
At 9:00, the anime girl is known as 'Minerva', an Autobot Headmaster Junior.
Slight tidbit: Pacifist Abdul Fakkadi comes from the Shattered Glass Universe, where the Decepticons are the good guys and Autobots are the bad guys. Hence Abdul's pacifism.
As a formerly frequent contributor there, particularly with captions, it used to be MUCH more surreal before the shift to FANDOM.
It never shifted to Fandom.

My personal favorite entry on the site is a page titled "Ruined FOREVER". I'll post the summary of the article itself here;
