Hey friends! If you'd like to snag some of this interfacing, I found it in 2.5" and 2" at FQS here: ➝ 2" Grid Interfacing: shrsl.com/4cnob ➝ 2.5" Grid Interfacing: shrsl.com/4cno9
Tracie H. here. I done something similar with my granny square quilt that I posted in the group. I took poster board, marked out the size squares I was using, laid the lightest weight fusible I could find over the grid, and placed my squares on top of the fusible before using my pressing mat to press the squares onto the fusible. Love this method, makes points line up perfectly.
Hey Becca!!! What a cute and fun way to use up your left over fabric. I’ve only used the Ten Sisters grids. So far I have made 2 quilts using the grids. Loved how quickly the process went. I have a couple more gridded projects that I would like to make one day, can’t wait. Loved how yours came out and it’s screaming for a summer picnic in 2024.😊😊😊
Actually, her curtains were not English paper pieced. She does a strip scrappy method, similar to how you would start a trip around the world block, then cut apart and randomly arrange the cut apart strips so that they show in squares once complete. She has a video that actually talks about how she put her curtains together, and YES, they are definitely lovely! ❤
@@JennCadyFiddlyBits I'm sorry , I looked it up the video I watched was from 4 years ago. I got it messed up with the quilt for her granddaughter. My apologies.
@@robinmarie5180 That is no problem. The hexie, EPP quilt she made for Agnes was AMAZING!!! Took her three years to make and was simply gorgeous. I can totally understand the mixup. I really like the idea of this product Becca is showing here. Would make this super easy to do postage stamp blocks with those tiny scraps we all end up with.
@@JennCadyFiddlyBits I loved that quilt so much I ordered the LaPassion hexagon quilt pattern 17,686 hexagons 77 page instructions. Thank you Merry Christmas 🤶

I saw this grid interfacing on the Quiltmas 2023 day 4. have to say I was blown away. and I love the fabrics you've used for this quilt. I now see me making this postage stamp style quilt. and I do love this look for bags as well. that grid is a game changer - thanks for sharing the scrappy look.
This is so special. Cindy Rang did this for her quilt for Quiltmas 2023 this year. Kates sun room is unbelievable on the Last Homely House. She has added to them in a small extended room. Your quilt turned out stunning. Love the colors congratulations. And Merry Christmas to you and your family. I am sure you already know but your own spit will take out blood if you prick your finger with pins. Hydrogen peroxide will also take it out.

Gorgeous quilt, Becca!! I love postage stamp quilts and have made several flimsies. Still need to quilt them. I start with 2-inch squares or strips. I make mine in sets of 36 blocks, then put the 36 block units together to nake my quilt. I chain piece and don't use interfacing. I have even taught my 7-year-old granddaughters to do this to make doll quilts!
I made my own grid on wash away stabilizer for a placemat, the grid you have is difficult to find in our area. Wonderful matching method, love your quilt Becca
I had a collection from the last five years of all my fabrics that I’d cut 4-8 x 2” squares as I got new fabrics and throwing them in tins “for one day”…. I finally started sewing them in July and after a couple of weeks I was 80% done ….it was fun, I just put (the 90s) Charmed on, got out 3 of my fave machines, my old Dressmaker Toyota, my beloved Bernina 1010 and my basic Brother …. and just swapped machines as I felt like it, sewing and having fun! I just don’t know how to finish it off yet 🤗 I didn’t use the interfacing way this time, I tend to onky do that for pixel quilt blocks as I thought it would be too heavy… and the ironing is brutal at this small size 🤗
I absolutely love this product! A few years ago I bought a kit of a John Dear tractor quilt for my great nephew and it had this product in it. You placed the different fabric on the squares to make the tractor image. I loved it so much I could see more quilts in my future so I bought a whole bolt of this interfacing. The possibilities are endless!
Your Postage Stamp quilt is beautiful. I watched Cindy Rang of The Fabric Patch do her Quiltmas 2023 quilt in pixels. I was intrigued. I bot a book on Pixel blocks AND 12 - 2 1/2 inch grid panels a week ago. Like April Story, I like to super size it. LOL. Now seeing your Postage stamp 1 1/2 grid project tutorial, I may begin sooner rather than later. I have containers of 2 1/2 squares cut from my scraps over the past few years to play with now. I have 1 1/2 too, but I am not ready for it yet. 2024 will be a scrappy year here. 😊
Great tutorial Becca!! I love how yours came out. And that's helpful info on the club in terms of having so much excess. Getting multiple projects from one fabric order is a great surprise!
I totally agree! I've done a few BOM's with FQS, and I'm always blown away by the amount of scraps left over. I think I might toss some borders on this before I quilt it - but for purposes of this video, I wanted to keep the quilt limited to JUST fabric scraps!
This is brilliant. I have used this for smaller projects. This is absolutely gorgeous. Always a shout out to FQS for the extra fabric. Love your tutorials ❤

This is the same technique that Quiltsmart used for their Mondo and Midi bags several years ago. Making the bag itself was a little confusing, but well worth the effort! Thanks, Becca!
Question for you Becca, is this interfacing a permanent base for the finished quilt top? Assuming yes, does it ever soften up with use over time so that the quilt doesn’t feel stiff and has nice drape?
Yes, it is permanent. It’s pretty light weight, though. I don’t know if it softens up - I’ve not used it in quilts that I plan to actually use. I’d assume it will soften up, but I honestly don’t know.
@@sewbecca thanks! I’ve never used interfacing with quilting before so I thought I’d ask. I know it makes the top stronger, but didn’t know if it sacrificed some of the buttery softness that comes with a hand made quilt.
