This is a fantastic pattern for showcasing bigger patterned fabrics. I can’t wait to try it out. You make it look very easy, you are great at teaching and should do more of these tutorial type videos, even teaching basics for new quilters. Your sewing is very precise and it’s a pleasure to watch you create.
I never really understood the "Tula's amazing" thing until last week when I got glasses for the first time. Omg, Tula IS amazing and I have spent about $300 on her fabric in just the last week😍😍
Great video, you’re an awesome teacher explaining everything in detail. Also I like the Ian joke 😂. I will definitely be purchasing your pattern and thank you for sharing Becca
Thanks Becca. I bought your pattern because I need a pattern that features fussy cut blocks and I do not have time to design it myself. It is for my step-son and his wife. I also try my best to support other creators as much as I can. I love this pattern. Blessings, Andrea
Super duper!!! I have the pattern and a few screenshots to keep reminding me!! I did look up the Tula fabrics you used but decided I’m going for Kaffe flowery stuff! (Another designer that terrifies me!!!).
I'm in a stitch and flip coma right now in a current project ... but seeing more alternatives (and some more practice) may put this pattern on my list for the future. I do really love fussy cutting!
Becca loved the tutorial and I was able to buy the pattern today. I will be making this quilt as soon as I get my t-shirt quilt done I am making for my daughter. Really enjoyed all your videos and lives.❤😊
Using a triangle ruler or folded corner clipper would allow you to expertly cut the miter (with the seam allowance, the corner needs to have the 1/4" line running through it) that you need a save a few steps. A perfect framing for the lovely materials. A little less waste if employed a no waste flying geese method and then attach white strips of needed length. Negative is that it has more seams which may detract from the clean framing.
Absolutely purchasing this pattern! Mom just purchased Roar for me and I’d love to use the fabric in this pattern. Thanks, Becca - great pattern, beautiful quilt, and super helpful instructional/tutorial! ❤
Thank you Becca. I just purchased the pattern and thank you for the video. It will be so helpful. Your a wonderful teacher, and your pattern is detailed. Love it!
Becca Liked the video. I don't care for tula pinks either some not all. Glad to see a way to put it into a quilt or even a wall hanging. Great tips as usually during your lives or recordings. See you at the next live.
I love the pattern and your very thorough instructions/tips. I would have to do a lot of practice stitch snd flip sewing to get those angles right but I think it would be worthwhile. I am going to buy the pattern as I love that it is perfect to showcase fussy cut fabrics!! Thank you Becca!
This is like the Moroccan tile, although mine is a little bit different. And I had been working on changing it, just did some drawing and quilt maths (!) last week Your choice of the "hero" fabric is awesome. Great way to use Tula. Hugs, Chel 🌸
Wow Becca - that is one of the best patterns I've ever read. It's well thought out, well written, and diagrams are perfect. I just bought it from your Esty store. I'm going to have to join your VIP program. Love the idea of the HST FPP and Flying Geese FPP patterns, you made that so easy. I'm a Clearly Perfect Ruler lover and those templates make HST's look like a dream to use and take that extra step out of squaring up the HST's. Now about this video. BRAVO for your use of the Tula Fabrics what you have done is stunning. I have the mint Hippos and didn't know what I was going to do with them - but now I know! I need to buy more of this line, the elephants, lions etc. Your pattern is all that and a bag of peanut M&Ms. Your tutorials are so much fun to watch, I did the Continuum quilt, I'm still hemming and hawing for the border - It needs a little zhuzh, I like what you and Tiff did. I'm thinking of doing a semi stair step/chevron pattern around the quilt, ending with a plain outer 6" border. I have so much left over fabric, I made a 2nd quilt with it. You definitely inspire me. I love with when you have your Mom, Mary, Ian and Tiff all together you make me giggle and smile while I'm watching or listening. I'll see you Friday evening! Teri G
I just purchased your pattern from Etsy and have already downloaded and printed it! Thank you!!! I’m back to watch your tutorial and a,so to check out your items list - found several,I’m really interested in😊. Tula Pink and other flowery fabrics have me completely confused in how to use ((just not in my color box of fabrics, I guess!). So I’ll be taking a few screenshots when yiu get to this part!!!
I made something similar to this a while ago. Not crazy about the stitch and flip, but I am not very good at it. Practice, practice, practice. Thanks for showing us how to make your beautiful design.
Thank you for a wonderful tutorial! Im a marker, its just much easier for me when I want accuracy …lol…not flying geese…..flying eagles and flying condors!
Great tutorial and beautiful quilt! Love it, and appreciate the tips! I paused the video to go buy the pattern. It'll be perfect for the Star Wars fabric I got to make a quilt for my son-in-law. Thanks Becca!
Hi Becca, I was having trouble with buying this pattern on your Etsy website. I kept getting an error message, so I kept trying, and somehow, I ended up having 6 patterns being purchased. I only wanted 1 pattern. Can you please correct this for me. Thank you, Tina Card
Just curious - why? Starching quilt fabric is almost a necessity! The fabrics handle so much better with a “light starching” - I do not do the soak method but use a spray. Not trying to be mean or trying to convince you, just curious
@@sandybruce9092 because some people are insistent that starching is the only way to go. I do not starch - and most likely never will - but I don’t want to be told by anyone that starching is necessary. I’m fine with people mentioning that they starched the pieces but not that it is necessary. It is a me issue. I cannot watch Kimberly jolly of fqs because of her excessive use of starch. I guess we all have our own style of piecing and quilting. After 4 years I think I’ve found mine.
Everyone is entitled to do what they wish! Your project, your rules. Personally, I prefer to starch as I do find it helps. When I mention starching in videos it is to answer the questions that I know will come, not necessarily convert non-starchers. :)
This is just what I want in a pattern! Your directions are excellent.
22:46 -- That could make you fun secondary pattern. 😊🎉

Definitely going to make this one! I have the perfect fabric…and yes, it’s been sitting in my stash for more than a minute! Thanks, Becca! ❤
Wonderful!
Thank you for the pressing and ironing , I have been ironing my blocks to death.
You had me at "hurt my brain"..yes indeed I can identify with that.
Super duper!!! I have the pattern and a few screenshots to keep reminding me!! I did look up the Tula fabrics you used but decided I’m going for Kaffe flowery stuff! (Another designer that terrifies me!!!).
Thank you Becca. I really appreciate how thoroughly you explain all the steps.
Excellent explanations and descriptions!!

Super gorgeous and thank you for making this pattern I always struggle on what to do with large beautiful prints as well

You can do it! Stitch & Flip can be a little finicky, but I find if I stitch *NEXT* to the line I draw, it comes out MUCH better!
Thank you for a wonderful tutorial! Im a marker, its just much easier for me when I want accuracy …lol…not flying geese…..flying eagles and flying condors!
Your hair looks nice!
Great tutorial and beautiful quilt! Love it, and appreciate the tips! I paused the video to go buy the pattern. It'll be perfect for the Star Wars fabric I got to make a quilt for my son-in-law. Thanks Becca!

Hi Becca,
I was having trouble with buying this pattern on your Etsy website. I kept getting an error message, so I kept trying, and somehow, I ended up having 6 patterns being purchased. I only wanted 1 pattern. Can you please correct this for me.
Thank you, Tina Card
I see the duplicate orders and canceled 5 of the 6 transactions. If you have further issues, please email me - Becca@sewbecca.com
When I hear starch I tune out. Nice pattern though.
