      I never blamed anyone mate. You don’t have the same opinion of a car after taking it for a test drive and driving it 30k miles. Don’t get defensive if you bought this turd too and are now trying to sell it to yourself.

  • @Blondul11
    @Blondul11 ปีที่แล้ว +35

    You really bought the wrong car for you mate. Did you expect performance from a 320i? Did you expect a comfortable ride from an M Sport suspension? In terms of comfort you'd have been better served by getting the SE model, and in terms of performance you need to look at least at 330i, 330e. And all the other things you mentioned ... have you been on a test drive before getting the car? For sure you'd notice these things in 5 minutes.

    • @KausarClassics
      @KausarClassics  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. I think the performance expectation is worse than what I expected from a 2.0i when compared with its predecessors… the SE models are considerably more expensive (extra £100/month) for which you could get a 530e… I did test drive it before I got it, but these things came to the fore over 2 years ownership.

    • @Blondul11
      @Blondul11 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      @@KausarClassics Mate the SE models are the basics ones. The M Sport is the more expensive one to buy. But leasing works differently. And again... what did you expect from a 320i? It has plenty of performance for what it is. If you want performance get a 330i at least. You're just not a car guy are you? EDIT: The 330i has a 2 litre engine as well, and it is much faster.

    • @KausarClassics
      @KausarClassics  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Blondul11 if you get a quote for SE vs M Sport you will find that SE models are more expensive. They are better equipped and probably more comfortable. As I mentioned earlier, I was comparing previous 320s to this one… and this is utter rubbish. I am no mechanic but I have enough experience driving cars to share an opinion 🙂

      @@KausarClassics Mate I just bought a 330e, fantastic car, under 6 seconds to 60, so I do know very well the difference between SE and M Sport. It's exactly the opposite of what you say. If you get a 330e SE, it comes with the most basic cloth seats possible, whereas the M Sport comes with leather seats and other goodies. In terms of comfort, the 320i and the 330i in M Sport variant come with the M Sport suspension, which is harsh, I personally would not get it for a daily car. The SE versions come with the normal suspension which is more comfortable, which is why I was telling you if you want more comfort you should have gone for the SE. That or spec it with the adaptive suspension, which would have been good. Mate really, read the BMW brochure, in terms of spec you have the following: SE, SE Pro, M Sport, M Sport Pro. Each adds more equipment. I don't know maybe leasing cars is different, but if you look at the list price of the car, SE models are always cheaper than M Sport.

    • @KausarClassics
      @KausarClassics  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Blondul11 fair play mate… I was just comparing the M Sport suspension to other performance cars I’ve had and even the SL55, Jag XKR, CLS, CL all have sport suspension far more comfortable (and capable) than BMW G 20 M sport suspension. At low speeds it’s unbearable… especially if the tarmac is bad… I hope BMW sort it out… seems unnecessary to me… perhaps my age talking 👨‍🦳

    Planning to buy a 2021 3-Series (320) with only 23k miles because of the phenomenal ride quality and i would like to know if this engine will hold up well for about 10 years with proper maintenance.

      I would highly recommend you don’t buy it. The engine is terrible because it’s actually quite thirsty for a 4 pot engine and there is an unforgivable lag when pulling out and junctions and roundabouts. The ride quality is the worst I have ever experienced

    Interesting vid on the 320i (I was the winning bidder on the Jag XK by the way, but still watching ! :) )...one of these g20 320i's came up for sale on the company car fleet and I nabbed the keys for a 40min test drive around the country roads near Aylesbury where I work..I know these roads well as they're part of my commute. My impressions of the car ?...even though it was an SE the primary ride was awful..constantly being jiggled around and it never felt settled unless on completely smooth tarmac , rare in the UK. Road noise was very high too and I couldn't wait to get out of it...I was really surprised as I was expecting a sweet riding poised car. My daily is a W222 S class so I know I needed to 're-calibrate' my mind and make allowances for a smaller car, but here's the thing...my wife has a W205 C200 Mercedes which I have to say is way more comfortable and quieter I was surprised how much better it was compared to the 320i. Performance was ok , it's a 2l 4 pot as the end of the day. Seems like BMW have lost the plot and I won't be considering one for the missus whenever she decides to change.

    My brother, but now I am confused between the LEXUS IS350 2022 and the BMW G20 330i, and I am afraid because these cars are from Mercedes. They say that they do not last for more than 6 years, and I have kept the car for more than 5 years. They say that it has problems and such, but you as a user, what do you say, which one is better, Lexus? Or BMW V 1- Driving 2- Reliability 3- The comfort of the car on long roads and how well it can withstand pressure. Because I am confused about both and I am afraid about reliability and driving pleasure. Explain to me and I am sorry for the inconvenience.
    Could you please answer the question of car reliability? I drive fast and driving is the most important thing to me. reliability. Will the car be able to withstand his 170,000 miles on his Voc? Will it be as reliable as, say, a Lexus? I like it so much that I'm concerned about its reliability and high price . So what do you think? Is it reliable? Which one is better? In all respects, especially when it comes to reliability and driving feel, there is a LEXUS IS and a BMW G20 and how do they differ? I'm sorry for the inconvenience. thank you.

      If you want speed and performance then the BMW 330i is great. Both are quite reliable but Lexus will certainly be more comfortable but softer in the corners. Just depends on your own taste. If it was me, I would get the Lexus because it will have more toys and would definitely be more comfortable. Reliability wise they are both pretty reliable

    Do you ever try / test drive the cars that you buy before you get them? Yours seems to be the M-sport version, which has a better handling, but a much stiffer ride. How is it supposed to be on that *hitty English B-roads?I have the previous model 320i (F30) - and it is not slow for me if in Sports mode, it rides superbly over bumps and potholes on the standard suspension, feels very sturdy on high speeds, great brakes and handling on high speeds ( not so nice handling in town though, a bit sluggish an indirect). And the overall build quality is great inside and out( and this is all compared to my previous V6 Lexus IS 250, which was a pretty damn good car). Do your research and try the car before you buy it next time, don't trust blindly other people and reporters. What they like / or are payed to like - is not what any of us likes.

    One more thing about this car I forgot add to my review which is a real problem is that there is a huge lag between you putting your put down and anything actually happening. Pulling out at junctions and roundabouts is dangerous and even the old e30 316 didn’t suffer from such a horrible lag… whilst I am sure 340i is much better the 320i, the 320i itself is a real minger of a car
