He got me to lie, and physically and mentally abused me and my children, he broke my child’s femur 🦴 bone, with a twisted break, he had me lie to the police etc. I later found out that it was done on purpose, my son had a half body cast on, at 2 years old, on his birthday, he broke my sons leg, he would pick up my son, by his ears and toss him outside and when I would open the door he would push me over and kick me repeatedly. I want Justice, but police couldn’t be bothered to do anything about him. Or my rapist, which is someone else. Seems like I want a few people to suffer.

This is such a sad story. Jared seemed like a really nice guy and he left a loving wife and baby only because his ex wife couldn't handle the breakup like a mature person. And to think that after this, Lindsay Shiver learned nothing and also planned to kill her husband with her boyfriend's help. These immature people should not be having kids.

It's an extremely selfish act. They not only make their kids parentless, but they also put themselves in prison for life. As soon as this happened, I knew it was the ex wife and felt she likely never moved on.

Never heard of this company, but we’ll noted and agree. It does appear that the company may already be in financial trouble before this, so they may not have the funds to carry expensive attorneys. But they raised an absolute monster, so the parents should suffer the consequences. Though I am sorry for the employees. Hopefully Jared’s family can take care of the twins, I do not think the new wife would be able to get custody and may not want it simply due to how hard it would be to raise that many kids alone.

I was thinking the exact same thing! The twins have now lost both parents.. I pray the step mom to the twins who is the mother to the 2 other siblings.. at least gets the chance to keep all of these children together. All of these children were innocent as was the father the victim and his current wife. My hope is the prosecution is able to present a strong case so all of the jurors vote for the death penalty. Too often we hear how one juror was a hold out to vote death. There can be no room for error or doubt in Jared’s horrible murder that those evil monsters receive the death penalty. They ended a man’s life so theirs should be ended too.

Shanna’s family has acted despicably in the wake of this tragedy, with Shanna’s mom posting spiteful things on her So Shelli blog during the time of Jared’s murder and funeral. The Gardner grandparents had swim parties for the kids in the week after their father was brutally gunned down. They are NOT a healthy spot for the kids to be and I’m sure have not helped them deal with this situation at all as they are obviously dysfunctional based on their actions since this happened
I wouldn’t unless the step mom wants to. The twins can be a constant reminder of the mom whom murdered her husband. She should just focus on her healing

They are living with HER parents. Shanna signed her parental rights over to her parents. The kids aren’t going to grow up knowing their half-siblings. I doubt HIS parents and siblings will ever see them again.

She would probably say yes because her parents have full legal custody of them now. They no longer have to share custody of the kids with his family.

I followed the case when they had the guy admit to it and they arrested Shanna's husband. She took off to Washington to try and get away with it. I feel so sorry for her 2 kids. If Jared's wife was allowed to have them, I'm sure she would, so they can live with siblings. They definitely should pursue the death penalty.

I knew his ex was behind this since day one. So glad to hear that justice is finally being served. That woman not only took her children’s father from them she has now stripped them of both parents. I feel so very sorry for all the children. They undoubtedly have “cptsd” (childhood post traumatic stress syndrome) and their lives will never be the same without their loving Dad.

I never understood people who choose to murder their spouse or ex partners, you are the first person the police are going to look at and the one that usually has a motive; the likelihood of getting away with this kind of crime in this day and age is so low you have better chances of being struck by lightning and winning the lotto at the same time.
