Her choice in legal defense just shows how guilty Shana is. Choosing Jose Baez, who represented Casey Anthony, just proves she knows he has the ability to win cases despite the defendants being guilty as hell. We all know Casey Anthony killed her daughter.

That's NOT how the law works. Filmed proceedings should each you that! So her choice of defense "shows" NOTHING, choosing JB "proves" NOTHING and we DON'T "all know CA killed..." You can hold these opinions, but in law they count for NOTHING!
Att. Baez is one lawyer who seemingly puts forth effort (perhaps even something of exclusive) to break the thinking down for the jury. He calculates extensively or even upto practically everything... right in front of the jury so they don't have to get their "proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt" calculators, they don't have to go over their notes again or really... consider much at all outside of which points he's made, in order to make such impressions on them. A jury panel of whom stepped out of their own personal lives for a number of weeks... eagerly awaiting to return back to their regular tasks, can desire for jury duty to be simple and Jose can uphold his end well, in order to appease them.
The closest the prosecution seemed to have come to establishing a motive for Casey was to choose a "party girl" lifestyle over one with Caylee. Although that's certainly not impossible, I've never heard of that as a lead or initial motive anyways, nor was there enough evidence to seemingly make that point consistently clear. I thought her lying was more suspicious than everything else put together. Aaron Hernandes's second trial really helped give me the impression of his innocence, while Jose said that he thought Aaron's first trial (less familiar to me) was reversible. It's a wonder how that what route(s) Jose would've taken that case down.

Why did the Family Court Judge not send this case to Arbitration and Order Child/Family Psychologists to make a custody determination? 7 years of Custody battles is this side of ridiculous!😡
Because they all made money at the expense of the children!!! This is how it is! My divorce lasted 4years, and then when was finished my ex took me every year for 10 more years to court to take away what the law gave me. 14 years, do you think any judge said wait a minute, this case it’s too long . Nobody cares it’s money for them a joke if Justice. Family courts should not exist at all.

I have the impression her family funded the filing of nonstop motions. No matter how well the family court managed the case (which I know nothing about one way or another) if one party is willing to devote unlimited funds to keeping the case alive it’s hard for the court to quash that since custody can be a dynamic issue.

I really can’t stand Jose Baez. His cockiness and arrogance. Maybe he has a right to it because he did his job but I wonder if he really believes Casey Anthony is innocent. I hope Mr. Jared and his family get their justice.
Most people don't like Defense Attorneys, but, they have a job to do, and are doing their jobs. In the event that you needed a Defense Attorney, wouldn't you want them to fight for you?? It's not necessarily that they believe their client is innocent, it's about whether the State can prove their guilt. Win or loss, If they're not giving their all for their client, they're not doing their job!!

Commoners seem to love a dramatic host who tells them what to think. You can see this with conservative radio personalities or some of the wokesters on MSNBC. I think Vinny if left to his own devices would rise above this type of presentation, but I suspect some producer is telling him he has to dumb things down and get emotional because that's what a prime time audience expects. During most of his palavering he is stating the obvious. I'd prefer it if he was more businesslike like Michael Ayala or other daytime hosts.

I’m a crafter and I’m sickened by the crafting community still supporting Stamping up Products when the family stands behind what their daughter has done.
As a mother of 2 adults, if one of them murdered somebody, I would still love my child and help them. You must not what it's like to love a child the way a mother does. I hope you get to feel that kind of love one day. If you do have children, then I feel sorry for them and not having your unconditional love.
Thank God I do not have any Stampin Up products in my Giant craft room. I have never supported the company in the 30 years I have been crafting. Most of the community is probably unaware of the case. Yet you feel that’s loving your child. I feel sorry for your children. I guess you would condone them committing murder. No one said they should stop loving her. José Baez and that baby killer got lucky because do to how much time had passed that there was no way to prove without a doubt what happened to the baby, but he's not even that good of a lawyer. In this case the evidence is all there and the shooter is testifying 🤷. Don't think they'll walk away.
He got Aaron Hernandez off on a double homicide in Boston that had a eye witness testify at trial. He is the best there is, it's bigger than Casey Anthony do some research.

Jose Baez is overrated. The one case that got him such notoriety was an easy win, as there was no evidence to connect her to her daughter’s death.

@@candisham1978 maybe so … I googled him. Glancing at his record I didn’t see too many cases, other than that one, (you mentioned) that seem he had success with. Being named a top trial lawyer in one of those Attorney magazines, I think one just pays for that, so that means nothing. I am pretty sure he represented Harvey Weinstein, and on that case, I think he got him off, not sure. Not saying this guy is a man of character. I just happen to have an interested in watching criminal defense attorneys.

It really bothers me how the goal of defense attorneys is to get their client off, not make sure they get a fair trial.

Because thats the way out court laws are set up; EVERYONE gets a defense you are innocent until proven guilty in this country and in our court system. At this point, from everything I have seen, we still have no proof that Shawna Gardner had anything to do with it. The defense has to prove she is innocent and the prosecution has to prove that she is guilty. Our founding fathers set this up because British courts are different. British courts assume you are guilty.

I may be wrong, but I don't see her getting the death penalty even if convicted. The children will be considered. The trauma they experienced by the sudden and violent loss of their father would be exponentially worse in knowing that their mother will be executed by the state for having their father killed.

We don’t know for sure, because police have been very tight lipped about this case, but likely they found him because they had surveillance of a truck driving in the area of the murder around the time of the murder, and one of the wheels looked different from the other 3 wheels because that wheel was the one that had been taken off and left in the road to create the ambush. None of the videos caught the plates, but they knew what truck they were looking for.

Capital murder is a different type of murder; it doesn't need any motive whatsoever. The motive is usually objective: based on occupation, hiring, etc. Because of this it carries harsh penalties, without parole.
Like the Las Vegas concert deaths or such. I never watch these things, but this popped up for me.
It indicates the perpetrator is not, nor will they ever be, able to live in the general population, anywhere, with the general population being safe.
