      I have always been a fan of this car. And I finally got around to buying this very same car about a month ago. Octane Red, automatic, fully optioned. Very happy with it. Since I took delivery of my car I have replaced the mid mufflers with Dynomax Race Bullents and replaced the stock exhaust tips with quad black chrome tips. Then I replaced the stock air box with the Hellcat air box and a K&N filter. Currently waiting on a Billet Technologies oil catch can and a set of Octane Red fuel rail covers to dress up the engine bay.

    I have a Hellcat but think the Scatpack makes the most sense now they have the wide body. I love your format!!! You get all the important information less than 8 minutes. Keep it up.

    • @AutoAcademics
      @AutoAcademics  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you, Timothy Weatherspoon. We think the Scat Pack Widebody is more useful on the street, but the Hellcat is a blast and looks better on paper. LOL

    I am only a minute and 30 in and I have to say this is already looking like one of the best reviewers on the internet. You list the base price, the price fully loaded, and you start off by explaining what packages come with what. Most reviews do not list or run through the different packages.

    • @Travios1115

      @@AutoAcademics I feel like people overlook those parts. You should always know what packages are available so you dont buy something and then realize you could have had a 2,000 package giving you exactly what you wanted. For me, I want the widebody package. Everything else is iffy.

    • @AutoAcademics
      @AutoAcademics  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Travios1115 Yeah. That widebody package is definitely the best part of that car. Well, that and the engine. And transmission. And, well, guess the entire car is pretty good, but it's even better with the widebody kit. LoL

    • @AutoAcademics
      @AutoAcademics  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It actually does. The Hellcat looks great on paper, but this is a much better car for real life. And even this 392 can be a bit much at times. Thanks for watching, pedro fernandez!

      @@AutoAcademics you would not think it but the hellcat is more easy to drive than the scat pack. my scat pack throttle is much more touchy in sport than my fathers hellcat in sport. both are great cars in my opinion. best bang for buck is the scat pack for sure but i would rather buy a hellcat if i was planning on buying a scat pack and tweaking it up. i cant wait till there are a bunch of used widebody hellcats. both the hellcat and the scat pack are a friggin bargin used. i am actually torn between getting a used hellcat widebody in the future or a new widebody scat pack. both will ammount to the same or similar price

      @@AutoAcademics yea these things are sick. and both in normal or eco mode are fairly docile. its like dr jekyll and mr hyde. probably the fastest transmission in its class as well compared to the other cars i test drove like the chevy ss and camaro ss. with the seats folded down i was also able to cram a 55inch tv in the back. the worst part about this car for me is the NAV. mine being older i dont hav android auto. the NAV itself works good but typing in the destination is the shitty part

    • @Sky1
      @Sky1 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@hairychesticles1 same here, I am looking at the prices of 2015 and 2016 Hellcats, already depreciated and could be a great deal. Thing is I am more likely to use the suspension than the extra 200 horses since I don't race.

      I could'nt agree with chris anymore.
      I NEVER have owned a Mustang but i have wrenched on many.
      Been a mechanic for 33 yrs, with my own shop and engine rebuild shop in back. My 6 full bay garage ive owned for 25 years. I used to do engine rebuilds in the winter only or the rare occasion that we were slow.
      So 18 yrs ago i built a machine shop That has a huge BAY THE SIZE OF 2 1/2 STANDARD BAYS SET ASIDE FOR REBUILDS.
      NOW I DO REBUILDS UNLESS i have some of my original customers that ask for me or we are busy then of course i go and help the guys out.
      Anyhow although not owning one, never liked the regular everyday comfort/ roadfeel or the roominess. Not too mention, the 60s and early 70s muscle the mopars were 90% quicker all around and heavier and gave a softer feel when on bad or just OLDER rough roads. The mustang has been better at cornering but that was usually ALL through those years. Then ma mopar went mini van and k car. They ended up saving her but ford was quicker for awhile until the OMNI.
      OH , I MEAN THE GLHS, TURBO DAYTONAS, SHELBY CHARGERS SRT 4 AND 6,S THEN VIPERS, HEMIS. NOW?? FORGET IT.
      DRAG PACKS TAKE CARE OF COPOS AND COBRA JETS.
      DEMONS AND RED EYES TAKE CARE OF MUSTANGS AND CAMAROS, WIDEBODY SCATS TAKE CARE OF THE LIGHT WORK AND NOW.... THE 1320 RUNS 10.6 N/A THE FASTEST N/A AS WELL.
      MA MOPAR BACK ON TOP.
