      I can't argue that, but I really like mine anyway. In fact, the large size is exactly what I love the most about it. Guess I got spoiled as a teen driving my dad's big '74 Ford LTD and '81 Grand Marquis. I drove my own '00 Concorde for many years. After that the Charger. All pretty roomy cars. Now I have the '19 Challenger like the one in the video and I'm enjoying it a lot.

      That's all everyone says it needs to lose weight blah blah the fact of the matter is dodge is killing the game. And atleast the challenger looks like a muscle car unlike ford and chevy

      If they did cut weight on this muscle car the Camaro and Mustang wouldn’t stand a chance. Even with the extra lbs and size they run right with them.

    I’ve never heard in all the reviews of this car that it has no go. I’m picking mine up later this month I had it built from the factory ( black challenger T/A 392 widebody ). So I’ve done a lot of review watching and reading and this is the one and only review that has said this. Everyone else stated since the car is NA and the powerband starts early and it’s linear it’s instant power.

    I have had two 392 T/A Challenger Widebody cars, where the R/T, Scatpack, and T/A packages are included. I currently own one. I have never experienced the lack of "go" that Lauren talks about. The cars are very responsive to t g e pedal, and there is immediate "go" to use her words. I drove both the Mustang and Camaro, too. All of them are great performance cars..

    I would rate my 2021 narrow body Scat Pack a 10 on performance in it's class, especially with the Torque Flight 8 Speed. You can run in the low 11s with a drag pack on it, like the stock 1320 does. Scats will beat the Camaro SS and GT 350 every day on the dragstrip, or street drag, I've seen it many times. No matter what you drive, there's always something faster, and slower.... Doesn't matter, Mopar owners love their cars... The 392 will always be an awesome street/dragstrip performer...

    You can still use the paddles when you slide the shifter into manual mode. Sliding the shifter prevents the car from returning to automatic mode.
    Example: using the paddle shifters to pass a car on the highway (but dont slide the shifter)...the car will return to the proper gear automaticly after a minute or so. However, if you slide the shifter in Manual, it will stay in the gear you tell it to.

    No go lol. It's heavier than the Camaro and Mustang and feels like it but I guarantee you that if you hit it in the midrange it will pull on both the Camaro and Mustang in that 3-4k rpm range. I traded in my SS 1LE because of it. The Camaro and Mustang really aren't in the same category, they are more track focused. I would rather have this daily than the other two. If I want handling, I just jump in my C4S 911...a car that really handles.

Also have a BMW m340 . . . 0-60 3.8; yes there are faster cars than the Mopars given their weight but there is definitely go. Are smaller, turbo 6s faster off the line yes, but everything is relative, the V6s just don’t have the same soul

  • @TridentRushed
    @TridentRushed 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

    I think you missed the mark with acceleration. These cars really transform when you change to track mode. The active exhaust opens up, it revs higher and holds gears longer, all while tightening up the suspension and steering and making the gas pedal more responsive.
    It’s a Widebody with 305s in the rear and only 485hp, so it has enough tire to sustain a full throttle launch with track mode on. It definitely seemed like the launches were being held back or you were starting on 2nd gear.

    I have had my widebody for 3 years 6 speed manual and get up is never a problem how when an auto can get 4.1 0-60 12 secs 1/4 I’m looking in the jailbreak but keeping my 392 I’ve never lost to a stang or camaro and I’ve gotten 3.6 secs with a mid delete in track instead of spinning in going to second it holds the wheels for a brief second then shoots to 60mph maybe I have one of those special ones from the factory I guess but your opinion is respected 😀

      I own a 2020 Scat and I don’t agree with the get up and go thing. If a Scat doesn’t get up and go, the driver hasn’t set it up right and/or doesn’t know how to drive it. I have a 4.0 (0 to 60) but you can’t have traction control on (like she apparently has) or it pulls timing. Track mode/ traction control off/ and learn how to drive a car like we did back in the 60’s and 70’s. By the seat of your pants.

    If they can get it lower to the ground like the original and make it lighter with better handling. It would be a great car, I drove one and you sit up to high like you driving a SUV. That’s why I don’t like the Chrysler’s or the Camaro. Even the Mustang sits to high but not as high as the other two. They want to place those 20’s on the car but they have the wrong suspension so you sit up to high. I drove the original muscle cars and you sit much lower. Only thing I like about the new ones is the better performance, but they should handle better now. Great review like always.

    I have a 2018 Scat Pack and I agree about the get up and go isn't always there in the lower RPM range. But if you use the paddle snifters and drop it down a few gears it will fly. I am not sure but I believe the Mustang with the auto will drop it down a few gears automatically, it doesn't have better acceleration in the lower RPM range it is because it drops it down a few gears when you punch it. Enjoyed your video so I subscribed.

      I don't know if I'd say she's unable to assess it, but I did disagree with her... as well as find her assessment there just... confusing. She said in the performance section of the video that it made noise, but didn't have "go power", but later on, she said it has both "go power" and "whoa power", and she later got good launches that she seemed to appreciate. Then, around 25:45, she says it doesn't "always" have the go power "depending on what mode you're in".... Was she saying it wasn't fast enough in regular Drive, but was fine in Sport or Track modes? If so... just use those!! I only drive mine in Sport and I assert that that is the way it is meant to be driven if not Track. So, I am confused by her performance opinions and I think it goes just fine.
      I test drove a Mustang GT and Challenger Scat Pack when I was looking for my car and chose the Scat Pack; I did not get the impression that the Scat Pack had less "go power" (other than the lack of traction, but I have the narrow body and that was on those terrible stock Eagle All-Season 245 tires, which I've since replaced with 265 Michelin Sport 4S's).
