    You are the only reviewer I have found (including some rather celebrity TH-camrs), who has pointed out all the differences between the 8th Gen and the 10th gen MBP 👍 The MBP is for my son who is going to be using Logic Pro X intensively for Music Tech.
    I.e. faster processor and DDR RAM, upgraded Graphics card and speakers, plus the improved twin fan cooling, well worth the extra $200.
    I actually had an order for upgraded 8th gen with 16gb RAM and 512gb SSD. After watching this managed to cancel it and change to the 10th gen, so thank you for this excellent review.
    Many thanks to Max Tech 🙏

      Sam Morris Hey in my opinion the Pro is a batter choice. If you are gonna do even light video editing the Pro is worth it. This is primarily due to Apple not connecting the CPU to a heatpipe which really sucks of them.

      jay patel Hey Jay, I just finished my Mechanical engineering degree with a 2011 MacBook Pro and I just bought the 2019 13inch MacBook Pro last year for my senior year. Of course, I didn’t do as much programming and coding as my fellow CS friends, however I did do lots of MATLAB coding. Both of my macbooks were fantastic. The only thing I upgraded on my 2019 pro was the RAM -> upgraded it to 16GB because I do a bit of video editing as a hobby. Since programming isn’t too graphically intensive, I would stick with the base model.. maybe upgrading the RAM to 16 GB if you multitask often. If screen size is really important to you (which for many coders it is) the 16 inch base MacBook Pro would be great if you have the $$. For me personally, I don’t mind spending a bit on a MacBook because I know it will last about 8-10 years if taken care of, and Apple will keep releasing the newest firmware updates for old MacBooks for at least 7-9 years. CS is a fantastic major, I wish you the best :)

    Hi great video! Would be glad to have your recommendations for which model and config to upgrade to for my use case scenario: I currently use a 2015 base model 13 inch mac book pro. The most intensive task that I perform routinely on my old MBP is 1080p video editing & rendering (video length of 30min-1hour) on the Imovie app every week for youtube uploads. The issue that I would love to be solved is that it takes hours to render these videos prior to uploading on TH-cam. Thank you very much.

    However I never bought one because I don’t feel like I need one.
    I have a very strong 8 core, 32 GB Ram desktop workstation which was roughly $1200 and a cheaper $700 laptop for on the go.

    • @DrNioky
      @DrNioky 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@aboabeeer9920 A desktop/workstation PC will always be more powerful at the same price. For photography, keep in mind that you will need to buy a good calibrated display with it or calibrate it yourself with a probe. Macbook screen is already calibrated. If you really like MacOS I'd say get a Macbook. If you don't care, just get a PC. A $600 tower + a good screen will be cheaper and faster than a Macbook.

    • @kimjeyong2474
      @kimjeyong2474 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Abo abeeer
      Unfortunately I never used these programs because I use mine for Software Engineering etc.
      I think first you should decide if you want a desktop or a laptop because I can imagine as a photographer you probably sometimes want to edit photos while you are on the go
      I wouldn’t say that Windows is worse than MacOS however there probably are some disadvantages like preinstalled games no one wants and a little higher ram usage
      So it takes a Little time to clean everything up at the beginning
      I think security is also not a big problem on windows as long as you don’t go to weird sites etc.
      Older MacBooks seem to be very stable with good longevity however I don’t know if this also will be the case for newer ones because many people say they can get kind of warm when used more heavily but this should be the case for pretty much every laptop.
