wondering what you plan to do with the tranny? I've found a company that can supply upgraded parts for the A650e but not sure it will handle 800 bhp reliably for a daily.
I saw you used the stock main caps with arp main studs. Did you have to line hone the main caps? Iknow there’s mixed opinions on that. Some people say you have to line hone it, others say it’s fine. Just curious, thanks!
I did not line hone, I think the mixed reviews comes from different situations. In my case this was a complete Ge motor, so the crank was spec for this block already, and based on the condition of the rod and mean Bearings when I disassembled,I didn't see the need to line hone since everything was wearing evenly. In a case where you are put a motor together from different sources or you had bearing failure before then I would recommend the line hone.
@@CmoneyGarage I agree 100% last year I built a 1.5jz with a GE bottom end. It was a good bottom end so crank and everything was factory spec. All I did was put new standard bearings with forged pistons and rods. and used arp main studs. I also didn’t line hone the main caps. And when I turned the crank it spun perfectly fine. Didn’t bind or anything. I never ran the motor though, I sold it before I could get it into a car. I was Just curious how it would do In a running car for awhile. And clearly not line honing it has been doing you well! Great job
Custom kit there wasn't any kits available to fit my combination of manifold location,Intercooler Piping and size I wanted. It was easier to just have it made how I wanted it.
What is a rough estimated price for the motor ? How much you spend till now and how much you will thinking to spend till completion ? Very nice build and video 👍😀
Motor build is about 6.5-7k So far with motor,Standalone and turbo kit about 10k. Still have to get a transmission and build my fuel system, and paint the car. Thinking when I'm all done will be close to 20-23k ish. Seems like alot to spend on a 23 year old car but in the end its going g to be exactly how I want it, and if I was to buy a new car and mod it it will be way more than that, I know I did it before lol.
finally a simple explanation ur service is appreciated kant wait to hear it👍🏿

Nice video dude! Can't wait to start on my 2000 GS300!
Appreciate it 🙏🏽
watching with great interest!

The plan is to go a340e from ATF
@@CmoneyGarage I guess that's the stage 3? I assume you have to supply the tranny for the $3000 bill. do u change the diff also?
Yea stage3, closer to $5k with the Converter. Will be changing to LSD diff
Beautiful. Very motivational

It's coming along
Slowly but surely
Dope bro, I'm currently building an 2001 in white also. Going fully built motor and trans. I would love to pick your brain on your setup
Ask away...
Cool, appreciate you.
What specs of rods and pistons did you use , I’m planning on boosting my 03 sport design gs300 next year and want to know what to run a safe 4-500
Cp Pistons, Manley Rods...stock vvti internals good for about 350ish

Been pretty good, running strong
Which coil pack setup u using please put a link to buy online
Toyota Yaris Coils aka 1zz Coils. Got them from ebay used.
What type of rods and pistons did you use ?
Cp Pistons 9:1 and Manley H-beam Rods
Did you get a turbo kit or did you do custom and why?
Custom kit there wasn't any kits available to fit my combination of manifold location,Intercooler Piping and size I wanted. It was easier to just have it made how I wanted it.
what compression ratio?
9:1
Bro!! How did you wire up your coil on plugs? Are you running the stock VVTI 2jz-ge ecu?
All it needs is power, ground and signal from the ecu. I'm using a Standalone (fueltech) but it can be wired with stock ecu just the same.
very nice video, im trying to do the same set up, i got the same engine, can u help me if i got questions? i dont want to mess it up, thanks.
Sure, just hit me up on here or ig.
what crank? u using
Stock GE
Are those the Wisco pistons?
Cp Pistons and Manley Rods
What are you running for engine managment?
Fueltech FT550
