You just have to machine the block (oil return and fuel rail), everything else is just rods and pistons for under 1000whp (usually). There is a drag racer on TH-cam that literally machined the block threw some rods and pistons in (with supporting mods of course) and is running 1300whp.
Keep up the amazing content. Have learned so much from your videos. Once my s54 (turbocharged) pops, will be swapping to a 2j and hitting you guys up 👍

I'm 37 yo, grew up in Australia - when I was doing my apprenticeship in mechanics, I had the heads from an old cast 350 chev in the tray of my ute, also powered by a 350 chev but I had one doing a stroker setup..I was hoping around 400-450 horses at the flywheel - had an old Jaguar pull up next to me at a petrol Bowser at a service station, we call them 'servos' in Australia. The guys jaguar was 1920s, and was overhad cam..I said chain no doubt? He said I'll pop the bonnet for you. It just startles me still to this day.
What is the benefit of using a GE head? I'm running a GE head because I had a GE engine in my GS300 and running a Level 10 A650E tran. Got 619 hp and 609 lb-ft of torque on E. Also, I lined it up with the dots, not the Slash hasn't had any problems yet. Thank You for helping me with my build!! Also, I would suggest that anybody spends $13,000 on parts. I should have gotten a free t-shirt or hat.
GE heads flow air better for the turbo once the heads been ported correctly ect 🤘 also Its a non contact engine so not correctly timing it like you have by not setting it up to the timing mark wont cause your piston to smash valves but you are probably loosing performance by the timing being off slightly, correct it asap if you havent already.

These pumps have their own limitations by design. Georotor pumps suffer at high speed to be able to feed on the inlet side. You can buy a "prepped" pump from Real St and the main advantage is that it's been properly lubricated for start up and is free of any debris. If you're not going to buy a prepped pump just make sure your pump is clean and lubricated during startup. I don't feel there's any gain in flow with modifying the pump, there's just speed limits to the design. Thanks
Hey Jay love the content and how well you provide information about the parts you are using keep up the good work iam in the process of doing a rebuild of a 2jzgte I live in new Zealand so don't have much options on fuel part etc . I am looking to make 500hp atw with stock 2jzgte block any recommendations for bearings . Have a few options ndc acl race seiers any help would be appreciated
Howdy and thanks for the positive feedback. The stock 2jz-gte can live a really nice life at 800whp. You shouldn't have to do anything to the engine but cams and valve springs, the rest of the power comes from the supporting mods. Thanks
The DLC coating works well where you have splash lubrication on parts that are swiping/sliding on each other. The Coyote is a roller lobe so it's not nearly as susceptible to the oil being displaced like a flat tappet arrangement. The chains can be a mess on the Coyote but a coating won't fix that. Thanks
They're just flanged nuts, I've never had a problem with that hardware coming loose. We do need to be careful with the length of the threads on aftermarket studs. They can be short and end up pulling threads out of the head. Thanks
I do this on any engine that doesn't have a bullnose on the stud. In the golden years men would drop small ball bearings into blind bolt holes to keep the studs from peeling the threads up at the deck. Thanks
Amazing Work Jay! Keep it coming Just a quick question, with this type of build what's engine longevity like if you were to say Daily this just as you would a normal car?
That's a super open ended question. If you drove it like you would "a normal car" you could easily expect a normal lifespan. How the engine is tuned and how you treat the engine will have more influence on it's lifespan than anything else. What do you need out of it? 40-50k miles? Thanks
Current plan is to use a Precision 7275 Sportsman. They were discontinued earlier this year, but I was able to snag one. I think we have two left. Great turbo for 1,000whp in all sorts of conditions.
Hey Jay @realstreetperformance, you were talking about how the billet cams like the GSC's will dig in and eat up the buckets, hence you do the DLC coating on the buckets. My question is, can you do the DLC coating on the cams instead of the buckets? I already did the shimless buckets conversion on my GTE head, so everything is already machined and spec'd. It would be much easier if I do the DLC coating on the cams instead of the buckets. Would that work? TIA.
If you watch the headgames videos on this, the problem is the cam clearance to head is too small. When the clearance is opened up you don't have any issues

Can you still use the oil squirters with the stroker kit?
Can I use the block coolant drain as a turbo coolant feed?
