      @@thatcleanjce1049 hey mate! Honestly still finalising my build specs and trying to get the bloke I'm building it with to gimme his availability so ATM I'm just hoarding pieces lol. Was thinking of just videoing and uploading the work Ive done on the car for giggles, so I'll see what I can do, cos I did splash out and got a haltech elite 2500 with full harness and a full GTE ignition system as well as fuel injectors
      Might just end up swapping in a GTE block at this point though as it's cheaper somehow?

I've got a 2jz in the garage, I'm planning on building it for my xj, but I want it to have that low end grunt, I've been thinking of supercharger and big turbo combo on the 2j for the jeep. Then I'll have the first 2j-Xj,, we'll the first I've seen anyway. I'll when make my own cool looking window stickers that say 2j-Xj.

    Great content mate! I just scored an Artisto 147S 2JGTE with single turbo set-up. Also just picked up a 2JZ GE from an IS300 with a blown head gasket for $300. So I guess to do the turbo conversion on the GE I can use the cam reference measurement (not measurements) as it's a single turbo from The Aristo? If I wanted to go the cheaper route with stock twins I would need to find a 2JZ GTE that had not been converted to single turbo for the cam positioning measurements? Cheers

  • @salatproduction
    @salatproduction 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    No need oil pistons on 2GE and no need to drill block. You just take 2GE VVTI block, forged pistons + forged rodes. Take 1GTE top block, make intake and outtake porting and you are ready to go. Its more cheaper to merge 2GE and 1GTE (1.5JZ), than if you buy 2GTE and will start to build from it. On 1.5JZ with porting you can easily get 600-650hp with taiwan kinugawa turbo.
    1JZGE, 2JZGE, 1JZGTE, 2JZGTE have no differences in bottom block! Only oil channels on GTE for stock pistons.

  • @M0NSTERmovies
