      Yes, they still sell an A segment car in Europe, the Aygo, below the Yaris. It is a very simple, well build small Toyota. Very fuel efficient, and sells very good. Stellantis abandoned this segment as well as Ford, Fiat. Only Kia and Toyota left..... . With gasprices in the Netherlands up to 9 euro, 10 dollar a gallon, no wonder.

      In 2022, toyota sold 10.5mill units. If u minus North america, europe and china sales of toyota products,,
      Ur still left with abit under 6million units. So while it is undeniable that NA is the largest market for toyota, its global market is far bigger. And what kind of toyotas does the global market buy? Hiluxs, compact sedans, econohatches, and apparently $60k minivans😅

    In the past, Toyota emphasized that the EV era would begin in the late 2020s or early 2030s, but it grew gradually. Toyota took over ten years to debut the Hybrid Prius and 20 years to develop the Fuel Cell Mirai. And they're still developing safe, all-weather, dependable battery with a long driving range. Toyota executives repeatedly said, let's listen to what consumers need, want, and desire. Let them decide what type of vehicles they want to invest in. Toyota is traditionally well-known among consumers in Japan for "Toyota sale." & "They're conservative but sell well."

    I was watching another clip by a well-known veteran, and I mean veteran (50yrs + experience) car expert, and he broke down the concept of sales numbers...........It was really shocking, a real eye-opener!................. I'd never thought about it this way and what he said makes sense...............He said, auto manufacturers build what they sell, first to the dealerships......The dealership then, still, has to sell the car/suv/truck to the consumer.....In the eyes of the FTC, and from a transactional standpoint, every unit sold by the manufacturer to the dealership counts as a SOLD vehicle and is the actual number reflected in monthly, quarterly, annually reports that go out.......The sales figures are not actually the number of units moved out of dealership lots......It's ultimately the dealership's responsibility to keep each unit up to a set standard in order to sell to consumer as new......The most accurate sales figure should be an accumulation of units moved from dealership lots to consumers, based on tracking from dealer's sales, not how many units were purchased by dealers nationwide. Wow. What say you? 😲

    • @makb5354
      @makb5354 15 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Exactly. Right now Pilot is crushing because of more rugged look and more off road features. Passport is a great car ( super stable, having great traction and AWD) but front, mild body change without more off road features in Trailsport is not enough to compete with Jeep or Toyota. Most people do soft off roading (hiking dirt roads and such) but having extra off road capabilities would make Passport and Ridgeline fantastic for many customers. RAV4 became super popular when look was changed to mini 4 Runner. People are obsessed with 4Runner due to branding and reliability. If Honda makes good changes in these two models and gets handle on more reliable supply parts it would be dream to own for most 4 Runner potential purchasers. Most of the people are not very familiar with Passport's current platform or how this car drives. Everybody is making 3 rows SUV's now which are replacement for minivans customer base.

There are tons of people doing overlanding in Subarus yet Subarus are not trucks. Acura has no Halo car, no Hybrids in the line up and the Integra is too expensive & should offer a coupe to differentiate itself more from the Civic. If they could give it Double Wishbone front suspension maybe it would be worth it's current price.

    Speaking to the Accord sales drop, it's really just not a good looking car imo. And the new lineup for other carmakers are way nicer to look at in the driveway. Sorry, but Accord lost my vote with the new model refresh and pretty sure others feel the same.

    agreed lease the Solterra. Ever watch the commercial. I bet a rock to the bottom would make everyone SICK. Trying to make it like the others Subaru's they advertise, Fun to drive in the wilderness. They are not!!!!!!

    I must say, I'm not feeling the look for the new camry, it looks like a hyundai front end and rear tail lights are ugly too. Also, honda accord is such a failure, it cost thousands more than the current equivalent 2024 camry (here in canada anyway) and it looks far worse with lower reliability.
