Seeing these side by side, it's like an apple and pear comparison. Go with the one that suits your needs better. For long term ownership, I go with the words of a guy on another channel (sorry, can't remember his name) who explores abandoned places in the desert southwest. He says he sees many abandoned vehicles but never sees Toyotas. That means something.

That’s why I own a Tundra 4x4 since 2013. Every mechanic I have visited has stated that the GMC Chev/brand have and will continue to have designed issues with drive-train. For a 80,000 + vehicle I be dagg if I am upgrading for potential issues on a “predetermined” truck made in the USA.The only thing I replace on my Tundra was a starter and that was done by the delership

@@babyboy4241 Yet in Qatar I do not hear complaints about GMC/Chevrolet trucks. And do not start with the silly excuse that "less are sold" . It all is due to maintenance issues with the people themselves. And the mechanics opinions matter little.

That means nothing, because Tundras are not sold in large numbers and most of GMC/Chevrolet with problems are due to maintenance issues.

I own an AT4. I’m worried about all the transmission and lifter problems everyone seems to be having. I love the truck but I’m trading it in for a Tundra for several reasons. 1: I don’t have to burn 93 octane gas at a dollar more per gallon. 2: No mechanical issues and if there are, Toyota will stand behind their product way better. 3: torque is so much better on Tundra. 4: Tundra will hold its value so much better. For me, it’s a no brainer. Goodbye AT4.

I drove both trucks and the At4x is much better. The tundra pro has so much plastic, no storage under the back seat, and while on the freeway the wind noise is like the window is down a bit.

I just bought the Tundra platinum and for me it was a perfect fit! I did do an upgrade with a BF Goodrich tire and it looks much better than the street stock tire the tundra came with. I think it comes down to what your choice is- they are both nice trucks - I’m a 62 year old woman and love my Tundra. Thanks for the nice video - seems you favor the GMC. 😊

I purchased a ‘23 ZR2. Next day, found paint peeling at the bottom of all 4 doors. Took it back to the dealer. Drove 4 hours to another dealer, and its doors were all peeling paint as well. The ZR2 and AT4X look great, but GM quality still suffers as no truck should make it past quality control with glaring issues. That tells me GM has low quality tolerances which obviously shows in their trucks. Both trucks are built in Saltillo Mexico where GM pays workers very low wages. Hence, the poor quality outcome is inevitable. Not a Toyota fanboy, but for those reasons alone I would get the Tundra.

@vikingguy2434 You're trying to be funny, but I buy vehicles based on my own experiences, not what some random TH-cam "mechanic" tells me. The traverse I bought new in 2011 has never given me any issues. I know folks like you and snotty Kilmer like to make it seem as if American vehicles break down the second you drive them off the lot but until the day I start experiencing that, I'll stick with what I know and prefer.

Now for Toyota yea they might not have all “muscles” as the others but they could if Toyota dropped a diesel honestly it would kill the other competitors but the quality in Toyota is great, idk about the new generation Tacoma’s only time will tell. But Toyota build vehicles and I hope for the future one’s that will still run and crank over still in 40 years.
All these American companies should be thankful the Hilux is not produced or sold here it would destroy them. Them little trucks are tank strong I worked on one absolutely a beast of a machine. Japan made is better, plus they are more American made then the other’s.😂 but have a good day.

    • @dtay8913
      @dtay8913 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@vikingguy2434 Oh ok, so Toyota needs to bring a specific model to the United States for it to be reliable.
The new tundra, this very model mind you, has a few safety and quality recalls. The wireless charging pad, brake line, transmission, and some of the hybrids. Not to mention TFL bought a BRAND NEW Tacoma and it broke off roading on a trail that wasn't even treacherous. Toyota used to make long-lasting quality products, but they're on par with everyone else now.
As it stands the v8 in the GM looks to be as reliable as that tundras new powertrain.
Also assembled in America ≠ American. They are a Japanese car company. Their CEOs, headquarters, founder, etc. All Japanese. That's like saying iPhones are Chinese because they're assembled in China.

Obviously each car brand has their own corks and screws, but if we’re talking about ROI long term yes Toyota is superior in that.

Yeah, for the money and the looks and the sounds comfy seats everything
I gotta say Gmc Sierra AT4X all the way. The truck looks better and sounds better and has better quality materials than the Tundra. The seats are more comfortable than the Tundra. And unlike the Tundra, the Sierra AT4X has an actual V8, not this twin turbo shit that tries to sound like a V8. I mean, seriously, Toyota piping in the sound thru the speakers to make it sound good give me a break. Also, for what you pay for a TRD Pro, which, by the way, has no tow hooks. You can get the AT4X with just about everything. Also, you can get incentives on the Sierra AT4X. Meanwhile, Toyota charges up to 5k over msrp on the TRD pro. Also, if you look up consumer reports, score on the Tundra vs. the Sierra. The Sierra actually scores better than the Tundra.
The only thing that I like on the Tundra compared to the Sierra is the console shifter. While Silverado and Sierra trucks, the upper trim models have a toggle style shifter, which isn't my most favorite. Toyota has a traditional console shifter. Either than that, for me, the Sierra AT4X is a clear win. Also, Sierra has tow hooks. Tundra doesn't WTH Toyota? Now I know all the Toyota fanboys and girls are going to complain, saying that the Tundra is so much better than the Sierra. Well, that's your opinion. And as a person who's tested out both vehicles, I'm going with the Sierra.
