I own a 2024 TRD Pro... It will never be comparable to a Raptor until the suspension is MASSIVELY upgraded. The Raptor's Live Valve Fox shocks with 13" of travel put the truck on a whole other level.
You and the wife have the Land Cruisers so the Tundra makes sense to keep like brands. But, you mentioned all the mods you’d consider and how the Tundras powertrain is not quite diesel. The ZR2 is definitely 10k more truck with a diesel, more ground clearance, and that AEV package. You’d pretty much be set from factory
I have a 24 TRD pro and I hate the stock tires it came with. Lots of rattling as well inside the cab. Lots of wind noise in the driver and passenger seats. I am having some weird bug where it keeps asking for my pin.
The time I’m getting ready to come in the Toyota market, they start messing up and having recalls. I have a deposit down for the new Tacoma but now I’m wondering did I make the right choice. It’s been delayed and then there are tons of recalls…
Who can afford any of these trucks ,dc criminal politicians??? Real Americans can’t afford these trucks! I see tons of all the full size trucks rotting on dealerships lots! No one is buying, they need to buy food and pay their bills!!!
The white TRD Pro with red leather seats is the one I would get and lift it. I also love the ZR2 but the only thing that scares me is reliability. Word on the street is, and by street I mean friends with Chevys and a buddy of mine who is a service manager, you might be in the shop more with the Chevy than the Toyota. Or not, if you get a good one. JMHO
I'll be curious to see which direction you go with the truck.. I'm currently in the market and still not sure what truck I want that's "affordable "😂 i worry the reliability with the new tundra isn't there from all I've heard. Guess msrp is more desirable than raptor or a trx but all very different. Do like the zr2 as well and naturally aspirated which I like.
Ben I'm impressed with the horsepower in this Toyota truck. Toyota is one of the most reliable new automobiles in existence today. ( Kima) Tundra TRD cool
the exhaust noise is pumped in through the speakers but it can be turned off! the truck is pretty quiet without the fake exhaust noise. Yes the screen has a dark mode. you can change it manually or set to automatically change when it gets dark out side.
How does this or the Sequoia TRD compare to the Landcruiser 200 series you are driving now. Handling, Drive and Drivetrain. My wife and my son love the Sequoia TRD Pro and have been urging me to trade in my 2021 Landcruiser for the nicer(their word) interior and handsome looking Sequoia TRD Pro. Advice??
Who needs a Raptor when they can buy the ugliest truck ever designed. Seriously, who approved the exterior aesthetics on this Tundra? They need to be fired, but this truck will be dead last in sales within the segment (now that the Nissan Titan is exiting). This truck is downright hideous.

You would think with all the plastic it would be 10k less
Please compare the Ford F150 Powerboost to any 1500 and include the advantage of the pro tow.

With 9" ground clearance and rear locker only on 4Lo, I don't think it even beats a Tremor
It has over 10”
This truck will do just as well where most every Raptor is used, crawling the shopping center and bringing home the groceries 😆
It can crawl the shopping center and go offroad. Why you worried about what people do with the vehicle they purchased? Cornball
Exactly. I bet the actual number of Raptor owners taking 90k trucks on high speed desert runs is likely around 1 percent.
@@weirdshibainu so its not your truck
You aint buy the truck mind your business
It’s funny how people think the raptor is just for high speed desert runs. It was designed for Baja not Dakar
I am a huge Toyota fan but I can’t get over the non steel front bumper.
No way this thing compares to a Raptor. Toyota messed the Tundra all up.
I started going back to church
Why?
Good....make sure the truth is being preached 👍
The time I’m getting ready to come in the Toyota market, they start messing up and having recalls. I have a deposit down for the new Tacoma but now I’m wondering did I make the right choice. It’s been delayed and then there are tons of recalls…
All brands have recalls, but I’d still cancel and go with a Chevy Colorado ZR2 … so much nicer in the mid-size segment.
Nice truck but not close to raptor
Who can afford any of these trucks ,dc criminal politicians??? Real Americans can’t afford these trucks! I see tons of all the full size trucks rotting on dealerships lots! No one is buying, they need to buy food and pay their bills!!!
How does this compare to your trx. I’m going between the Trd Pro or a used 22 TRX with 24k miles.

Toyota tundra TRD pro just have 35s tires on it than it look better but I will take ford raptor Toyota any time you're the best Ben

Tundra TRD Pro is my favorite, just not with the Hybrid .
Like i always say, people who know what they want buy that which they want!.,& those who want a Raptor buy that.period!
Ben I'm impressed with the horsepower in this Toyota truck. Toyota is one of the most reliable new automobiles in existence today. ( Kima) Tundra TRD cool
Definitely clickbait. Owned both and this ugly thing isn’t even close to a raptor. Raptor all day!!!
The tundra is faaaarrrrr from ugly. Toyota>Ford all the time
This thing is UGLY that’s why I bought one????
Raptor 💯
@@sammyjammy6647 it not ugly it's FUGLY ..absolutely hideous... yuck
If only it had a V8. I’ll stick with the Raptor R 🤠
You got one?
@@johnnyfreeman1018 she sitting pretty in my driveway now.
2024 Toyota Tundra CrewMax Hybrid TRD PRO Terra 4X4!
I think you mean why settle for a tundra when the Raptor exists.
You should be able to get the pro for less than msrp. I have a 1794 limited edition coming in April and I’m getting $3k off of it
Sure You are .
Where what dealership? I’ll buy one if so.
I just got 6k off my 2024 TRD pro… have excellent credit and be willing to walk away.
Sorry. I will take a Raptor...
Excellent look! Two questions: is the exhaust noise pumped in thru the speakers? Seems rather pronounced. And is there a dark mode for the screen?
the exhaust noise is pumped in through the speakers but it can be turned off! the truck is pretty quiet without the fake exhaust noise. Yes the screen has a dark mode. you can change it manually or set to automatically change when it gets dark out side.

What's the reason behind your dissatisfaction with Ford? 2024 f150 was on my list.
Quality and reliability over the last few years
I don’t like that hug panoramic view sunroof and that junk twins turbo v6 sound
They should have made this more off-road capable.

Keep the Land Cruiser! The new sequoia is nice, but not as well built as the LC
@@BenHardyCarsTruth!
Ford raptor is more macho than the trd. Raptor first
Awsome truck, i just wish the front wasnt so ugly, this one looks like the crimson chin from fairley odd parents
V8 5.7.
This thing is not gonna do anything in front of the raptor 💀😭🙏
Great truck. I still like that Ram 5.7 e-torque with air ride. Toyota still more reliable especially longterm and trd more offroad worthy
For that amount of money you can get a nicely speced HD truck, with real truck capabilities. Why would you buy this?
Toyota blew it with the new tundra in my opinion.
They are going back wards
Bigtime failure
😅 Funny, The TuRD isn't even in the same room as a raptor. The raptors suspension is far superior to anything TuRD.
seems like you could wash this before reviewing (the suspension view was dirt)
I gotta admit, Toyota's rev limiter is sooooo good.
👍👍👍
get a raptor v8
No clearance. Poor reliability. V6. Looks gay. Toyota blew it when they got rid of the classic version and the v8.
@Ben Hardy: Get the ZR2 with the diesel...
The 2024 Tacomas will still be hauling lanscape trailers in 2054!
WAAAAAY overpriced.
This guy reviews the same vehicles over and over and over and over and over and over again

Ford Raptor is a much better looking truck. The Tundra will bring more peace of mind.
