      I got mine today 11-30-21. Whenever you get yours, you will love it. I have been using a K cup for the past yrs. and even though i have enjoyed coffee. This machine takes my full beans to another level. Is like if during the brewing... it squeezes every drop of flavor. with the press and brewing pressure. I would drink cup after cup. But then i would not be able to sleep 🤣Did you get yours Master?. I Ordered through amazon and only took 3 days.

    I have the baby brother 1200 model and I too use the Lavazza super crema. Lavazza is very affordable and is the best tasting dark roast beans I could find that are not oily at all. Oily beans can be problematic for super automatic machines due to the grinder being integrated.

      @lonestarguys  ปีที่แล้ว

      Awesome. We just had to replace the o-ring a couple months shy of the 2 year mark. Also had to do a mandatory descale when we hit the 5,000 cup mark even though we always use the AquaClean filters.

      @@christerman There is an calc/clean indicator light on the main control panel that illuminates when it's time to descale. The machine tracks each cup and recommends descale every 5,000 cups.

    • @christerman

      @@lonestarguys Thanks for the reply. I decided to send mine back. The machine just doesn't make coffee in the way that I have gotten used to with my Jura E9 (purch 2008). My Juara for instance can tell me in an instant how many beverages I have made (currently sitting at 9,500). In the Lattego manual, it says you need to pull 100-150 shots before the grinder is broken in. How would you know how many you've done? Scratch pad?. I got the Lattego to simplify making our morning coffees and provide a solution for my wife as she finds the Jura a mystery. Don't get me wrong. The Lattego is an engineering marvel, but not suited to our needs.
      I do have a question for you,, though. After my initial espressos came out looking like dishwater, I started to research and it turns out this is a very common issue. There are dozens of threads from purchasers seeking answers on how to get a decent espresso. In all the TH-cam's I had watched reviewing this machine, not one addressed the break in period. Some of them are from retailers like Seattle Coffee Gear so I am not surprised by their wanting to overlook anything that would discourage a sale, but did you have perfect results right from the get go?

    @lvstream720 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    By the way to everyone. Some people are really smart and clever when using the 3200. I saw some comments on amazon that shows ways around it. To make a few more drinks that are listed on the real Expensive Digital screen one. Example for a Flat white. Its been said that you pick a double shot expresso by hitting the button twice. After that. Pick the pre ground option, and hit Latte. So the concept with the flat white with the expensive model. Is that the milk, is froth and dispense last. So for other drinks, people just stop the process before it grinds or using the pre ground option, to not waste any beans. Because with the latte option, it will grind a batch, after a milk froth cycle. So geniuses use the latte option with the pre ground mode. To by pass grinding. And just get the milk.

    • @lonestarguys
      @lonestarguys  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mmmmm...I'm gonna have to try that. I enjoy Flat whites!

    • @lvstream720
      @lvstream720 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@lonestarguys Yeah because apparently if you try to make a flat white after the double shot. By using the latte option. The machine will grind a batch after it dispenses the milk. Which it would be a waste. But if you used the pre grind option for the latte instead. After brewing a double shot. With the latte, under the pre-grind. It will dispense the froth milk, and since if you dont add a pre ground product in the front compartment. That cycle is pretty much waved. Maybe just water will come out. So you get that froth milk and just pour it on top of the double shot. Turning it into a reversed drink. And as far as the 8 o clock full beans coffee i have . Maybe the Phillips will get even more flavor out of it. Since will press it and purge it with pressure. Something the k cup wont do

    Fun video. After watching many reviews and thinking about for a couple of months, I pulled the trigger and ordered a Philips LatteGo system last night. Of course it immediately went to backorder-probably because of Mother’s Day-so I’ve got a few more weeks to live vicariously through videos. Thanks for showing the multiple drinks. I don’t think I’ve seen the difference between cappuccino and latte macchiato in other reviews. I’m hoping the LatteGo makes milk drinks simple enough that my husband can use it. He has been known to FaceTime me so I can walk him through the process with our current DeLonghi when I travel. Now that I’ve found your channel, I’ll have to explore your other adventures.

    Thanks for the video, I have juste acquired a 3200 series in France and my lungo coffee is light dark like caramel. The taste is bitter I tried 2 different beans (Italian and Guatemala). My grinder setup is 3. Do you know if this could be a machine issue or strictly coffee choice ? Thanks.

    • @lonestarguys
      @lonestarguys  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      You're welcome!
      Hmmmm.... I'm not an expert but I don't think it is the beans/roast. Lungo coffee is made with twice as much water as a regular espresso shot and the longer brew length can result in a more bitter taste. I would try your beans with a single shot of espresso and compare it to the lungo coffee to determine if it's the beans/roast you're using. But keep in mind the below:
      from wikipedia: Lungo is a coffee beverage made by using an espresso machine to make an Italian-style coffee - short black with much more water, resulting in a larger coffee, a lungo. Wikipedia
      Uniqueness: A lungo is less strong, but more bitter, than an espresso, because the additional hot water passing through the ground coffee extracts components that would normally remain undissolved
      Hope this helps, Sylvain!

    Hi, I just set my 4300 up yesterday. One thing i noticed is that there is water gathering into the drip tray even though I am making sure there is a cup underneath to catch the drinks. After around 10 drinks I have to empty it out, but the amount of water dispensed into the drinks is correct. Can you advise if the same thing occurs with your unit? I am concerned mine might be defective.

    • @lonestarguys
      @lonestarguys  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That happens with ours too. We tend to empty out the drip tray whenever we empty the used grind container and it's usually 3/4 of the way full. Not sure where the liquid comes from either - I think it's internal as the hot water is being forced through the ground espresso at high pressure and must result in some waste? If you empty it each time you have to empty the used grind container you should fine.

      Hi. I just set up mine today. And yes, it happens with mine too. The water is from the machine firing hot water through the ground beans to make the coffee. If you check the grind waste right after you make the coffee, you can touch and see that it’s not dry to the touch, but quite wet and crumbly, and that the waste water come from the beans due to its brown colour.

Bought an extra LatteGo milk carafe directly from Philips so we wouldn't get confused :) I saw another TH-camr recommend the Lavazza Super Crema whole bean blend and we like them so much we haven't tried anything else yet - even have them on an Amazon subcription to deliver every 2 weeks!

    How loud is it? Could it wake people in the morning?

    • @lonestarguys
      @lonestarguys  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's fairly loud when it's grinding and frothing milk. For example, if you're standing next to it, you have stop talking until it finishes! It would wake me up if I were in the same room, but not in a different room of the house.

      Jura machines are next level/higher end machines that are more expensive.

      You know since I asked this question I actually think this may be better in terms of maintenance given the ability to maintain the brew components and rinse.
      The hues needs maintenance annually to bi annually from what we were told at sur la table and that usually runs a couple hundred bucks. Whereas this is simply puked out and rinsed.
      Great review guys, we’re getting one.

    Do yourself a health boost, install a RO water filter or countertop RO filter...all calcium,lime,toxins,bacteria,heavymetals,pesticides,fluoride(industrial waste) poisons,contaminants are 99% filtered. All my coffee,kettles,machines last very long with reverse osmosis water, I also have a whole house filter too, my geyser element lasts forever.

    Decent review, our son is considering this unit but the 2200 Latte Go version. Do you find that at highest temp it produces a hot enough coffee. We are looking for a machine as well but am considering spending a little more to get better. Warranty is good w 2 years, just wondering if spending more will get one a better unit such as a Delonghi Perfecta or other option. Philips has their 4xxx and 5xxx models coming out shortly, wondering if they have improved a couple shortfalls of the 2200/3200 Latte Go's Have you had option to compare to some other super automatics in the 1000-1500 range. Assuming you did consider some other options, if so what were they? The price you mentioned is enticing for sure, I am referencing Canadian currency and the 3200 Latte Go in Canada is $950 on sale

      @lonestarguys  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! We set the temperature to the second highest setting and found it to be plenty hot for us. Price point and quality were big factors in our deciding on this model so we didn't really look at the 1000-1500 range machines. You might want to check out Seattle Coffee Gear's TH-cam channel. They do many videos of head-to-head comparisons of the popular machines - might be helpful in deciding which machine to purchase. I saw a pre-release of the Philips 5xxx model which has a nice touch display and many more drink options than the 3200 but it didn't have any pricing info. Good luck in your search for a nice super automatic and let us know what you decide on!

    We were going to get one but first of all, it's too loud! The grinder noise is very annoying. Also the maintenance to it is excessive for a coffee maker (you have to remove the infuser and clean it). And its price is very high. Maybe in the future if they improve and get cheaper. Meanwhile, our manual espresso machine is just fine
