What do you think about Eufy S220 SoloCam? Is it a camera you would use?
Excellent review! Every feature is thoroughly described in great detail!👍
Great feature review, thanks!
Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment!
They are very good, I have 2 S330 cameras and the Homebase and it works very well. Agree with you about lack of HomeAssistant integration, I too have tried all the available workarounds and have failed to integrate it.
This camera respons superfast. I was really impressed by it.
So does this camera only work on 2.4ghz Wi-Fi or HomeBase 3? I just got a HomeBase 2 and it won't connect
So can i use it as a wired camera if its in a shaded area?
Zijn er camera's die wel werken met Homebase?
I still have an issue to link it to our WiFi?
I've had Eufy cams working with HA but until May HA update everything stopped working.
Did you get it working again, I want to get the S40.
@@PetrusB83 no luck so far.
My camera won't scan the QR code. What should I do?
I cannot get mine to scan either!
Ugh. I was loving this camera until you got to the part where you couldn't remotely connect to it with HA. I was hoping i didn't need to wire my back and front yard and could connect this to Blue Iris. I guess solar isn't ready for a 24 hour streaming camera.
I think that's the reason indeed.
Hi, great vid. What do you set the power source to, battery or external solar panel? Thanks 🍻
I also need response to this
@@adebayoarowolo4464 Hi, you set the camera to Battery 👍
@@dazzzzla thanks
Were you able to get it working with Home Assistant? I'm interested in the Solocam S40.
You didn't watch the video I guess...
@@SmartHomeJunkie I did, in your video you said it didn't work with Home Assistant, but I was asking if you got it working later. Or is it still not working due to it being batter operated?
@@PetrusB83 Well, the video is just three days old and I didn't look into connecting it to HA again because it just didn't seem to be possible.
@@SmartHomeJunkie gotcha. Thank you. I have ordered a mains connected Eufy camera.
Hi , I just bought it a few days ago and I noticed it came with a 68% charge . Its been under the sun for a few hours each day but it does not reach full charging always 65 %or 68%. Another issue I noticed it does not detect all human movements which is quite disappointing. Its connected with a router ,NO homebase. Do you have any suggestions or maybe I might have a faulty camera? Thanks
Hmmm. Interesting. I do not experience this.
You have to fully charge it first before installing... then it will stay around 90 to 99% charge depending on season. Also for it detect movement you have to go to that actual devices setup>Motion Detection> check all motion(thats what i did)> and most important change the activity zone. you can also change detection sensitiviy
@@go2ferdie Thanks for adding this!
@@go2ferdie Thanks for your reply and advice. Yes I figured it out that I needed a full charging after inbox and after charge its working fine. As for motion detection I will try to increase sensitivity because I still miss some events especially in daytime. Does yours detect all human events? I really like this camera for its versatility and image quality but I would like it to detect all human movements.
U have to charge the cameras atleast 5 hours. That's what I did and it never goes below 90. My friend recommended this camera as she's had it for years and no complaints. I have the solar cam 2k with the homebase and for 3 months now and no complaints as of right now.
Do you need a homebase (hdd) storage when you only buy the cameras? 5:27
No, you do not.
@@SmartHomeJunkie Then do recorded videos would be saved on your phone?
@@mega1330 No, on the camera itself.
@@SmartHomeJunkie Off the topic q: Do you have to drill with a impact/hammer driver on stucco (metal/concrete) wall? Ty
@@SmartHomeJunkie so the intruder/thief just have to unscrew, take the camera & all footage/evidence is gone, Right?
How do I connect it with hA?
Did you watch the video?
But the BIG question is does it works with HA?? New HA project incoming? : )
You didn’t watch the video, did you?
@@SmartHomeJunkie i did but i think i missed the stuk that you explained that its not working : ) The delivery guy held me up
Shame it doesn't work with Home Assistant. Still, there's always Blue Iris!
Yeah, but I really think you shouldn't stream constantly using this camera because of the battery. Anyway, other Eufy cameras work with Home Assistant and it might be just me that I didn't get it to work. But maybe this one will be supported in the future as well.
Nice and informative, but speaking too fast to follow.
Would have liked to see details of you actually installing the camera as the title says……
