    Exactly like my childhood Camry, same color. My dad got it up to I think around 300k miles, it was in the high 200s if not. I remember taking many naps in it haha. I bought a 1999 recently to relive the nostalgia! It's like a time machine.

      That’s very cool. As I’m sure you know, these cars are still very visible on the roads today. I think that speaks to the build quality and ownership of these cars. People loved these cars and there is still a huge following over 20 years later. It’s a great group to be a part of.

    • @TheNonnell

      At first we considered buying new headlamps from rockauto, which were around $60 for a pair, but she decided against that idea. So, I used some polishing compound on a microfiber pad and my dual action polisher. All the hazing was on the outside of the lights and it cleaned up nicely.

    • @TheNonnell

      Hello and thank you so much! They are Enkei wheels and I believe they had some agreement with Toyota. This car has been in my family in some capacity since new and those are the only wheels that it’s had. I’m not sure if that was an option at the dealership or not. Hey! You’re welcome. We did not touch up any of the paint before the detail. All scratches and paint chips were left alone. We did avoid the paint chips as much as possible though bc we didn’t want to dig them out and make them worse. The symbol on the wheels is Enkei. I’m not sure if Toyota had a partnership with them, but that’s what came on the car from the dealership. They’re in terrific shape(like new), which is amazing for being over 20 years old.

      I used a dual action polisher with compound on a microfiber pad. Came right off. If you don’t have a DA polisher you can use compound by hand with a microfiber pad or cloth. It’ll take longer but you can get similar results.

    Love the video how many miles on the champ.

    • @TheNonnell
      @TheNonnell  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks! I guess you'd say that the Camry is low mileage for her age. She only has 149K right now. Her prior owners didn't have long commutes, so she's stayed well under the annual average. Kamilla is planning to put more miles on the Camry when she graduates from college in May. Plenty of road trips and cross country traveling on the horizon.

      @TheNonnell  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, 100%. I think it’ll do cross country and probably get great mpg while doing it. Only a few more things to get this car completely ready and it will be good to go. It’s a very reliable car and even though most Camry’s like this are high mileage now, for the money, it’s a great buy.
