Got a fix her up car and there was duct tape on the door console by the windows... I removed the old tape but now the old goo is left behind . I've tried to remove it but no luck. Help

i still remember the first time i watched this vid.
back then i used to lazy out around but my friend got me into his dealership and i handle all the detailing work now for the new customers, their reactions are priceless and they often compliment the cleanliness.
i make sure there is no odour for the returning customers and leave them with a smile ear to ear.
Chris really helped me with the micro detailing and inspired me to start a detail shop of my own.

We live on a farm, down a mile long dirt road. I think I have a COMPLETELY different idea of what a dirty vehicle is than Chris does… his idea of “Vandalized” is my idea of “not so bad” 😆 Great tips and tricks…I can’t wait to get out there and put them to use!

I think he called it vandalized because somebody spray painted and put sugar in the gas tank before he got it, but yes his standards are something I could probably never hope to achieve
I rode in a Lyft the other day and yeah that looked like a crime zone. 30 times dirtier than his vandalized car.

Glass cleaning tip: Finish the inside with horizontal strokes and finish the outside with vertical strokes. That way, when you have a streak, you can easily tell which side of the glass has the streak.
I do swirls on the inside and diagonal on the outside.

I was taught this trick by my mother when I was having to do the windows in the house as a kid and I still do it on every window I have to clean (40+ years).

Lots of great tips here! To "pre-dust" my dash and the instrument bezel, I use a swiffer duster. It works fantastic for removing the majority (or all), of the dust with no chance of scratching and is great for getting into the crevices. As a bonus tip, I also use them for computer and television screens.
I've seen many videos about car cleaning, but yours is something different. Instead of just showing off with fancy equipment and attitude like others do, you respect the viewer and explain the details, talk about minimum requirements, SHOW EXAMPLES of different approaches.. Man, your video made me smile =) I want to clean my car now =)

It's the details that make things look clean, all the little cracks and crevices - that is a great tip that applies to almost everything! I'm sure you can impress people with your house if you clean up all the details, too. Or a piece of DIY furniture, or anything like that. Even a bike. Clothing style. I had never thought about it that way until I watched this video.
The toothbrush tip worked really well!
Unfortunately I had to spend some time in the spare bedroom because she caught me using hers!
Seriously, some super tips here, made my car loads better.
I finally got around to detailing my truck and man, how nice it is to get into and drive a super clean vehicle!

Yeah but those are professional products used for time and easier but the results cannot be argued with 🤷♂️ speak from experience
There are time where we need more brushes and chemicals for special situation. Or get done faster or leave the carpet in a natural state.
I just buy boar hair or horse hair paint brushes, trim them to a preferable length and get to work.

6:47 I got my car detailed, and I think the guy who did it, did exactly this. It left stains inside the guage bezel and inside the guage lens. Now I have to take it apart and clean it myself.

I recently purchased a car from a family member that was mechanically in very good shape but was equivalent to this vandalized car on the interior. These super clean videos as well as the scratch removal video have been my bible over the last few days. The thing looks practically brand new now. I appreciate you taking the time to post these. Just did it + the Windshield today, its just amazing how super clean and deep black my interior came out, just as new.

For me, this has to be the best, most concise, and well-done video I've seen so far on cleaning the interior. Nice tips and tricks like not using a heavy cleaner on the turn signal, not erasing the paint. Great job Chris. Marc.

I have watched interior cleaning videos by about a dozen other professional detailers. Chris is the only one who pointed out how to clean the turn signals safely. Kudos sir!
The only thing he didn't do is to shampoo the carpets or use saddle soap on leather or vinyl seats.

Hey Chris. I dont think you'll see this but I just wanted to thank you. Your videos helped me fix my $600 project car into something i can drive and feel safe in. I did suspension, plugs, and made the paint look brand new and even supercleand the interior and it's all thanks to you.
I learned to fix my brakes thanks to him. Saved a lot of money.

Damm I love his videos he explains things so simple and clear instructions are super easy to follow he doesn’t beat around the bush he shows what products you need to use he gives you max tips I was spraying the dash inside the car so the most was going all over the show after watching this I’ve definitely learned something today

Dude, I love your channel, I was always was so afraid of doing anything to my car, if it was mechanical I always felt like I didn’t know what to do so I have to hire someone that does… detailing other then a car wash, I was always worried I would use something I shouldn’t and damage something. I had horror stories of cracked plastic to singing head liners, since watching your channel, I detail my own car, and only go to a mechanic if it’s something that is a bigger project then I am willing to tackle. Anything from oil changes to breaks, to replacing parts in the engine I do myself now, saved so much money, and having fun doing it! Even made a little money working on some friends cars! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and making it fun and so easy to understand! 😊
I drive Uber full time and there’s now way I can pay someone for this level of detail but my ‘14 Santa Fe is definitely showing its age and these videos are gold. As a fellow Philly suburb guy, the soapy “wooder” is gold. I’m guessing Delco but I could be wrong 😂

Would appreciate it. 🙏
Got a job recently as a detailer. Small town so not a lot of competition or expectations… I’ve been really unhappy with my results on dirtier cars lately, definitely going to try all of this, and think about making my own kit instead of relying on the shared tools.
