Hey Scotty, I enjoy your videos very much, maybe you could give me a advice on my Truck. Half a year ago I bought a 1995 Chevy K2500 6.5 Turbo diesel with the 4L80 transmission - so far I like it very much. But as I live in Austria these things are very rare, so are the parts and experts. Are there any special things to take care of at those vehicles? Thanks in advance for your help!

I still drive my 1987 Camry wagon which my wife got from her grandmother with only 40 000 kms in 1996! now it has 385 000 kms and still drives like a new car! Inside and out it's still like new, only a little bit of rust around the rear fenders, nothing else. Got is sprayed with Krown rust control every year since I had it, The interior has no cracks in the plastic the dash looks brand new! Great car! Just keeps on going and going!
I have classic car insurance for it now so it's even cheaper to run now! Costs almost nothing per year! I get a lot of people giving me thumbs up and looks at the car.

In the UK the modern taxi fleet has two main car brands, Toyota and Skoda a cheap version of VW that is actually more reliable, for luxury taxis Mercedes are used. VW is also still used a lot for taxis as well as Ford Mondeos which in America is a Fusion, the cars least used are French and Italian ones which tells you exactly everything you need to know about reliability. Taxi drivers can't afford to have their vehicles at the mechanics all day. Mercedes are still used because of the perception people here have of them being that are a luxury car and therefore they are used as luxury taxis otherwise Lexus would be more widely used.

I actually recently killed my 95 camry CSI. bought used 6.5 years ago with 190'000 Kms. Now in Australia you sorta expect heat problems. The radiator died 3 months ago and for several weeks the new one had teething issues, once it was all said and done the new cooling system created better pressure which folded the old head gasket. The engine still continued running, sure, vaporising coolant that was leaking into the #2 cylinde until it finally ran out of coolant, overheated and warped the aluminium head. basically a total loss. fixing it would be more than the full value of the car at that time.
Australia . is how you kill camry's

I bought it 22 years ago for $2,800. It's about as basic as you can get with manually operated everything, except it does have power assist brakes and a/c. The a/c still works, but I did have to replace the compressor about 15 years ago (switched it over to R134A at the same time). It gets 36 mpg and still has lots of power. And it looks great too. Had it repainted in 2013. Best car I've ever owned for reliability and I never get tired of driving it.
