Great video! I hope they get feedback and update the missing features you mentioned. The firmware updates across all their devices need more videos and exposure.
I think I could use the looper function with the OP-1 field. For instance to have individual drums (usually loops) on 5 tracks without sacrificing one of the 4 OP-1 field tracks
Thanks for the video! Could you get mostly around the one input limitation by routing one of the mixer outputs back into one of the inputs, which you could then sample? I haven’t updated yet, but seems like you’d be able to sample or loop five of the six tracks that way.
@@rochefsky cool! I’m actually not a big sampler or looper guy myself, but like you said in the video, it’s nice that TE is actively pushing the capabilities of the TX-6.
Quick question: in loop mode, do you know how to assign different loops to different channels? When I load a loop, it will replace the one from my current channel
I see no way to sequence the samples from within or outside (via midi) the TX-6... The sequencer on board, as well as incoming midi note messages, both work on the SYNTH engine, not the samples from what I can see (in the manual AND in my own tests)...
@@rochefsky actually you can sequence the samples- just updated my tx-6 and confirmed... go ahead and enable synth to sequence in the menu. have a sample on a track. go out of the menu, then shift press the track button until it comes to the option to choose what you sequence. it will say for example, kick, snare, etc.... and also then "sample" and then it will play the sample for whatever pattern you set the sequencer to!
@@tendingtropic7778 yeah its pretty sweet! i sampled some drum sounds to get the exact kick and snare that i wanted for the sequencer on the tx-6. i think its great- i wish TE would get back to documenting their own features and making little videos about them at some point...

Yeah this one was definitely a quiet roll out which is why I made the video
Great to finally have a video with better walkthrough. Thx !
I was excited about the update, but I doubt I'll use this
Same feeling about whether I’ll ever use these features - but we’ll see if they grow!

@vagueversatile worth a try - if it’s just one simple loop less than 22 seconds

Yup! Someone else also suggested that great idea to route the Aux out to on of the inputs. Haven’t tried but expect it would work fine - thanks!

It only allows ONE loop……. 6 samples in sample mode, but only 1 Loop in loop mode.
@@rochefsky Ok thank you. This is very useless then...
Raland?
You say ROWland, I say RAHland…. Whatevs
Workflow equivalent of a dental extraction without anaesthetic.
Ouch! For all else I love that mixer but will never use the sample/loop stuff
Can the Samples and Loops be played back via MIDI?
I ask this for other people that don’t have the TX-6. I will be giving this a try out tomorrow.
Not that I’ve found, no. If you are looking for a sampler/looper, this is not the device. If you’re looking for an amazing small mixer - this IS it 😊
Got the TX-6 alongside Loop Pro, Black Box and Elekrton Digitone and some others besides.
you can use the internal sequencer in the tx-6 to play back the samples
You don’t say!
@@JohnSAitken yeah just in the same menu where you choose snare, kick, clap, synth, etc. you can now select sample as an option there... works great!
Hello! Can you please make a video showing how to sequence the samples?

@@jaygilligan Cheers, That worked perfectly. Glad I read the comments!
@@jaygilligan ok wow, this makes it suddenly a lot more interesting to use the sample feature!
