Thank you for the video. Recently I've played all three Metro series games, and on max difficulty they are much more immersive. They made these games comfortable to play with very few hud parts on the screen making complete full immersion and some kind of synergy with the protagonist and the world itself. A truly masterpiece.
100% agree with you. I couldnt play on easy after i tried the hardest difficulty. So great and immersive that, in fact, i couldnt play any other games for weeks...
I did the same thing. Went back and replayed Exodus to keep it Russian after Atomic Heart. Also ended up finally playing Metro 2033 and Last Light for the first time and absolutely loved them. Both run at 60 fps on console as well and really hold up well. Can’t believe I had never played them before.
@@turtleneck369 I’ve tried to find it but it’s pretty expensive on the second hand market. Well not expensive expensive, but overpriced in my opinion. I missed out on the free giveaway in 2021 and they delisted it so you can’t buy it outright anymore.
Exodus & last light are in my top 5 games ever made, I don't have Miller's dlc but Sam's Story was more of everything that made Exodus amazing and, unlike a lot of DLC for other games the story for Exodus' from what I have experienced and heard is even better than the main games, I really love the way Exodus mixed environmental story telling with the plot and how every character fit within it. apparently a new metro is in the works & I know not everyone loved the open world (mainly due to oversaturation in the market it seems) but Exodus' world was unique, masterfully crafted and super fun to explore, I cannot wait to see how they improve upon this game.
Completed Metro: Exodus twice now!!!!! One of the best atmospheric FPS games I've ever played... TIPS: turn the music off (its a bit immersion breaking), take your time exploring every corner of the map, finally try to play it like its real life, "non-lethal" as many neutral humans as possible, talk to all the characters in between each mission on the Aurora, the character building monologues are superb... finally take time to admire all the scenery and take in the feels.... Its one of the craziest experiences you'll ever have!!!!!
I might replay this one too... such a good game got overlooked by most. Haven't played the enhanced edition and with my shiny new card it should look insane.
I literally felt.. a lot of things while playing metro last light, it was one of the most atmospheric, immersive game i've ever played. I felt the desperation, the fear, and sometimes even feeling that i can't explain (like in the ending). Shit was extreme i had to stop playing video game for a while
I played through this recently, got the bad ending unfortunately, but I still loved the experience. I think the end got a little easier but much more tedious, but that's really my only complaint.
I love the metro games, my only issue is it feels like 70% of the games I cant actually use my skills to eliminate enemies. I love moral dilemmas but not to the put it makes it so I cant use the cool combat. Besides that they are awesome games and deserve all the praise they get
I played and adored the first segment of this game on my old pc but it had so many issues running. Ended up buying it on ps5 last year before realizing that I can't do fps on controllers. But I just got a new PC and the enhanced edition came free with the base game, so it's finally time for me to go back and experience the full thing.
I know you're not a let's play youtuber but I feel like an occasional let's play of a game that you really enjoy would be nice. Also should you ever do a let's play I think the metro series would be amazing
exodus you feel mor elike a roving bandit than a spartan ranger protecting the metro its crazy how it feels so real like they were something in moscow metro but once they ventured out they lost all authority they became rhe outsiders its such a beautiful contrast that i believe its a disservice to play exodus first because you arent immersed fully
This game is so special. With Russian voice audio and the new game plus feature "real time weather" (which makes 24 hours in-game = 24 hours in the real world) it's the most immersive game available on consoles, possibly the most immersive overall.
@@Brandon_Y. "Play and shoot guns" You realize that's the point. Have you ever held a firearm? It's not like Fortnite, bud, where you run around "quickscoping." I’m going to be purchasing this game because of one thing you said. When you said “is this the difficulty that wastes ammo when I reload” my ears perked right up. I always thought this was kind of a normie theme park shooter based off of the very impressive graphics and I am so pleasantly surprised to see that it has a more Tarkov leaning gun system. Before I buy a shooter, I watch gameplay on TH-cam and as soon as I see incorrect reloading animations (racking the bolt after you reload on a non-empty magazine) I write the game off for good. I was surprised to see Metro got that part right but I never expected a difficultly system where you actually had to manage the rounds in your mags. Never played a metro game and I’m going straight to ranger difficulty mode. Wish me luck boys I’m gonna need it.
I searched for this video yesterday on your channel. Glad today it found me😊. Thanks for all you do man. You give games a much needed fresh perspective
I absolutely hated 1st person games. Just couldn't get into them until I picked up the metro series. I absolutely love this series! And even though the first game is years old it's still a great game to play. I've just finished last light the other day. Currently going through the extra missions. But now I'm going back to the beginning to try get every karma point. It's turned out to be one of my top favourite games ever and exodus had been out for 4 years. So I've been very late to the party🤦🏻♂️😂. I can't decide which is my favourite. It's between last light or exodus. But the 1st still is a good contender 🤔🤷🏻♂️
Hey Jayvee, I recommend you play the S.T.A.L.K.E.R games, a new installment will be released this year; some of the Ukrainian devs of the first entry would eventually make the Metro games; though I recommend playing Shadow of Chornobyl and Clear Sky with vanilla mods that fix several of the glitches.
personally i preffered the first two games, when your basically almost totally confined to the inside of the metro. It's a unique feeling, knowing the surface is covered in monsters and radiation; you felt very confined and stifled. Exodus was a great game but it diverged very much from the first two in terms of it's game and level design.
Too immersive? It's the best made game of forever. I play games like these on the most hardocre difficulty if possible and only Metro, especially Exodus has nailed it 100%. Even the lack of HUD is substituted by sound cues for throwables. They have thought of everything. Granted I have spent 6 hours replaying the escape just to get used to the keys and game mechanics but from then on its just mindblowing.
I love the first Metro games as much as one can love a computer game, they are amongst my all time favourite FPS. Which really means something, considering that I've played my first FPS 35 years ago. I have 100%-ed or platined them on both PC and PS4, I've played both on Ranger countless times. Exodus though... First of all, the controls are... suboptimal. No idea what happened, but they are worse than in the predecessors. Also, I actually hate that you are supposed to not kill anyone, _in a shooter,_ for the good ending. I hated even more that _one_ tiny slip can cost you the good ending, even more so when this slip was not even killing anyone. I spend _so_ much time sneaking around, only knocking out people and then there is this stealth part in the desert level, I get discovered, can't fall back to a savegame, because _of course_ the game has to overwrite my manual save and as the result, I did not get the companion from this level and subsequently miss the good ending. Sure. And about immersion, well, this game broke it so often. With NPCs making endless annoying speeches that completely got me out of the game, for instance. With the 'no killing' policy. I get it, Artjom is different and he preserved a humanity others have lost in this cruel world, but when you face completely ruthless bandits who rob, torture and kill defenseless people... you don't just knock them out, so they can get up and exact revenge on the same people you supposedly want to protect. Even more so when you plan to leave this place and those people. Congrats, you've just made life _worse_ for them. And how immersive is it that a potential companion will not join you not because you killed everyone, but because you've got discovered in a stupid stealth part? 'Oh, you are just such a terrible ninja, it would be unwise to come with you!', is that it? But the worst parts are the 'we have to care about Anya' parts, which often enough just felt painful. Minutes upon minutes where you are forced to listen to her talking, only interrupted by overlays telling you to fondle her hand. How immersive. I can't even count how often I've played the first two games, whereas I will touch Exodus never again. Of course this is just me and my personal taste, but I wonder what this says about this game.
There is not a no killing policy, the vast majority of enemies are fair game. All outside of 6 spots. Almost everyone in caspian, all in yamantau and most in the other 2 still. You can kill hundreds, every hostile bandit, slaver, or otherwise. You can only not kill the volga cult, slaves, inmocents, the forest children, and the pirates (only AFTER olga asks you not to).
@@blader127b Thanks for explaining! Well, I still did not kill anyone at all, apart from that one part where you have to fight off hordes of enemies and still did not end up with the perfect ending, because I've made _one_ slip in that stupid stealth section. Would have been still not a problem, _if_ the devs had not decided it is perfectly fine to let the player make manual saves and then... let the game overwrite them.
There were some things I really loved about Exodus. However, when I played 2033 and Last Light, I fell in love, cuz they were just so different and unique. And well, I felt like Exodus kinda lost some of that "feel" that they had, that bit of magic that made them unique.
About to start this tinight. 1 complaint about last light is the stinginess of air filters makes it hard to explore/follow certain plot events via constantly gasping for air/frantically searching. Hope this ones not as stingy lol.

"make you wish for a nuclear winter" two of the best apocalypse in one video
Facts lol 💯
I did the same thing. Went back and replayed Exodus to keep it Russian after Atomic Heart. Also ended up finally playing Metro 2033 and Last Light for the first time and absolutely loved them. Both run at 60 fps on console as well and really hold up well. Can’t believe I had never played them before.
welcome
the 2033 2010 pc version is gem must play redux is better but it's easier and not the same 😅
@@turtleneck369 I’ve tried to find it but it’s pretty expensive on the second hand market. Well not expensive expensive, but overpriced in my opinion. I missed out on the free giveaway in 2021 and they delisted it so you can’t buy it outright anymore.
what did u mean saying "keep it russian"?
Even though this game engine is last gen, I'm still really impressed by the beauty and detail.
They used a lot of industry tricks, mixed with good lighting to make it look good. The textures themselves are very low fidelity on a closer look 😂
@@Doomsday499 the textures being so low resolution is actually a pretty big surprise. There’s no reason they can’t be higher.
I loved these games. I finally got around to playing all of them back to back few months ago and was legit kinda sad when i finished.
same, left me wishing the game was endless lol
I love the metro series, exodus is my favorite! glad your playing it lmao
I love how this marriage simulator also comes with a good fps campaign as an extra.
I didn't even know you could sneak at 17:24 , I just killed them all lol
Love the whole series ... one of the best solo games imo
I played it in the hardest difficulty without any HUD. Best experience in games I had in years!
I might replay this one too... such a good game got overlooked by most. Haven't played the enhanced edition and with my shiny new card it should look insane.
Metro Exodus makes Fallout 4 look like a Triple F game.
I literally felt.. a lot of things while playing metro last light, it was one of the most atmospheric, immersive game i've ever played.
I felt the desperation, the fear, and sometimes even feeling that i can't explain (like in the ending).
Shit was extreme i had to stop playing video game for a while
I don’t know why but mute main character are kinda nice and nostalgic
I played through this recently, got the bad ending unfortunately, but I still loved the experience. I think the end got a little easier but much more tedious, but that's really my only complaint.
I definitely loved the first half better. After the desert I think it got worse
@@hawkeyefigure yeah trash opinion as always
I love the metro games, my only issue is it feels like 70% of the games I cant actually use my skills to eliminate enemies. I love moral dilemmas but not to the put it makes it so I cant use the cool combat.
Besides that they are awesome games and deserve all the praise they get
I played and adored the first segment of this game on my old pc but it had so many issues running. Ended up buying it on ps5 last year before realizing that I can't do fps on controllers. But I just got a new PC and the enhanced edition came free with the base game, so it's finally time for me to go back and experience the full thing.
I love seamless cutscenes too. Dying Light has that too, I love it.
Love the videos you make man, one of my favourite youtuber, go king 👑
ahh so many great youtubers out there! i appreciate you 🫡
@@jayveeeee but not many with this type of videos 💜
There need to be more games like the Metro series
Stalker 2 heart of Chernobyl
I know you're not a let's play youtuber but I feel like an occasional let's play of a game that you really enjoy would be nice. Also should you ever do a let's play I think the metro series would be amazing
One of my favorite games of all time, just so fun and immersive! We need more FPS' like this
Absolutely love the metro series🔥❤️
One of my favorite games of all time, this video really inspired me to go back and play it one more time :D
And now we wait for Jayvee to play STALKER. Or if he dares to go in full blind, full slav, ANOMALY
The game is fire and the best ending were you survive is wholesome and sets up for a sequel we never got
If you want to understand the world, I can wholeheartedly recommend the books. They are legitimately great and really help flesh out the world more.
exodus you feel mor elike a roving bandit than a spartan ranger protecting the metro its crazy how it feels so real like they were something in moscow metro but once they ventured out they lost all authority they became rhe outsiders its such a beautiful contrast that i believe its a disservice to play exodus first because you arent immersed fully
I loved this game and the DLC. I'd love to replay this once I get another gaming laptop.
This game is so special. With Russian voice audio and the new game plus feature "real time weather" (which makes 24 hours in-game = 24 hours in the real world) it's the most immersive game available on consoles, possibly the most immersive overall.
still clunky to actually play and shoot guns.
@@Brandon_Y. compared to the older metro games, not really
@@Brandon_Y. "Play and shoot guns"
You realize that's the point. Have you ever held a firearm? It's not like Fortnite, bud, where you run around "quickscoping." Metro is unique because everything, the weapons, equipment management, and player movement are actually realistic. Lmfao your argument is a joke. Go play War zone little bud.
@@Brandon_Y. Is it really? The gunplay felt really good to me. Great even. It felt quite heavy but I personally preffer that to the quite common weightless unrealistic guns.
@@toytacambery9427 you people really cant understand when someone wants actually responsive controls in an FPS, can you?? You can have the same inmersive and semi-realistic feel that comes with this types of games without it feeling like an early 2000s slav jank game
I feel like this is Baby’s first STALKER and it’s absolutely great for it, just the right amount of difficulty along with amazing immersion and great story
Stalker is more like baby’s first Metro. Metro is a far better game.
the metro trilogy are fr some of the best fps games ever made
Always excited to watch your new videos Jayvee, 🙌Metro Exodus is so underrated, amazing game 👏👏👏👏
thanks dude!! yeah this game is a gem for sure :)
I absolutely love the Metro games, they are so damn good, I replay the entire series at least once a year, I will say though the controls/sensitivity on contoller are a bit weird but you get used to it, honestly I think it fits the world and gameplay, trying to get thru the books but they are sooooo long lol
I recently had turned 18 when this came out. Was a fantastic birthday present. I was so hyped for this masterpiece
I’m going to be purchasing this game because of one thing you said.
Metro is amazing. But I never finished Ex because I got stuck in a room and simply could not get nor finish the mission.
Metro has a very good way of making transitions.. looks very nice
if you can read the books or the audiobook version, they are different but 100% great stories. the first audiobook is a masterpiece in of itself.
This game is a freaking masterpiece.
Just bought the game and both DLCs a few hours ago at 80% off for my series S. Cant wait to lose myself in this world
There were some things I really loved about Exodus. However, when I played 2033 and Last Light, I fell in love, cuz they were just so different and unique. And well, I felt like Exodus kinda lost some of that "feel" that they had, that bit of magic that made them unique.
when games are made with love, it shows
The entire series holds a special place in my heart lol
I just played it April 2023.
PS Stores has the ps5 version for $9 Canadian ($6 US). Great game.
About to start this tinight. 1 complaint about last light is the stinginess of air filters makes it hard to explore/follow certain plot events via constantly gasping for air/frantically searching. Hope this ones not as stingy lol.
All 3 games with all dlcs on exodus are on sale together as a bundle for only $11! On Xbox right now. Only 2 days left guys
Glad to see metro getting the love it deserves! there will be a new metro idk when and a new stalker december 2023
the metro games will always continue to be the best for story telling
Easily one of my favourite games of all time
currently replaying this on pc as well with dlss and raytracing, which is pretty damn nice @ 1440p 90-130 fps on my 2060super
just got to the desert area, forgot how crazy the first part of the game was with all the cannibals... playing on hard mode too so giving full challenge
I just got this game yesterday for 11.99 and got 3 different metro games good deal for 3 plus bonus DLC the deal ends in 3 day’s! I like the graphics on it and the open world adventures.
One of the greatest game series of all time however I would say it's not immersive enough
I've played this game through many times trying different ways to get through everything. Stealth is the best if you really want a good ending, plus being forgiving, well you will have to check the youtube for the good ending. My only hint is forgiveness and stealth. Good luck have fun.
One of the best games I've ever played. I also played through the Two Colonels dlc and yet have to play Sam's Story
These games are so good. The world of the metro is so well made and immersive, it really feels like an actual lived in environment.
i have completed the main campaign of metro exodus 4 times already. cried every single time. i have completed each dlc twice. cried each time. metro exodus just knows how to tell a good story and how to make u love the characters.
I wish I could do this! My fear of massive spider like creatures makes it impossible
The entire metro series is like 20 something bucks on steam right now. Definitely worth the buy.
This video just convinced me to get all 3 games, especially because they're on sale for $3-5!
I'll tell you, the books were really depressing
its not wasteland, its how it is here in winter
loved this game, the graphics blew my mind constantly, the story is really good
He bac, he got good content, he listening to community, he good
🙏
I'm very glad I picked all metro games with their dlcs for 8€. One of the best series of games I have ever played
I recently got all three games on discount and I can definitely say it was the BEST $10 I ever spent and it was one of the best solo games I’ve played in recent time.
It’s always so weird to me seeing the UI since I always play on Ranger difficulty so I’ve basically never seen the HUD 😂
the ending was so good man
I been playing it for the 1st time, definitely well worth it, definitely didnt expect this, robocop, and gotham knights to be my new favorites, of course spiderman 2 and ac mirage
i hope the next metro is even more immersive
I've played the other's but not this one yet ,I've just bought it for 5 British Sterling for the steam deck , can't wait
this Game is; A GEM
i saw the title and i was like "metro? hmm that sounds familliar" then i remember getting ambushed by some gargoyle looking monsters shitting my pants and the previous games was pretty lonely, i recall. I'm playing this game for sure, gaming was good back then.
Steam should pay you kickbacks during steam sales I'm either playing old games cause I watched you or about to buy the game which is on sale when you're playing it
😊I wish they make VR mod for it
One of the best game ever play !
