    Story Summary :-
Ava (F, 32) has had a troublesome life after her father's death. Her mother, Lydia (F, 59), always seemed like a lazy and irresponsible person but she looked like she was making an effort to change after the birth of her youngest daughter, Lauren (F, 28). But all of that ended when her husband died. After that, Ava practically ran the little family and raised Lauren like a second mother. But that did not matter to either of her family members who grew up depending on her. They did not care for anything and anyone as long as they had the money.
In frustration, Ava decided to give them half the money than she initially did. Then she cut off that entirely when she found Lauren kissing her first husband, a plan made by Lauren and Lydia to have Ava all to themselves. But Ava instead decided to cut them off her life. Years later, when she contacted them again and introduced her first boyfriend to them, they tried to do it again. This time, Ava's partner, Charlie (M, 33), was loyal to him and they both decided to hatch a plan to teach the mother daughter duo a lesson. It was to give them the address of a police officer when Lauren asked Ava for Charlie's address; it's another thing that Ava never told them that Charlie is a police officer. Now, they will find out the truth with severe consequences.

    My honest opinion?
She said she had no idea they'd sneak into his house.
And yes, he made it easy for them to get in and had cops waiting for them. but it was still their decision to go into someone else's home uninvited with malicious intent.
    They brought it on themselves.

They asked for Charlie's address and got it. After arriving they had looked around to find away in. Sister got in then let the mom in. I think sister would have broken in somehow to do what they had planned. But it backfired and was arrested. No contact will be best. Don't need toxic theiving people in your life.

No joke. "Well, every time we went to eat, I always stocked up on cash. I knew my mother and sister would want it."
That's what OP sounds like. She went no contact for 4 years and then after losing her will, she reconnects stupidly, thinking I know they'll change now!
Then shocked Pikachu! They haven't changed at all. She has obviously never heard the old sayin, "When someone shows you who they are, believe them!"
Hopefully, Charlie can get her into therapy and learn her family will never change!
She was a doormat enabler then ran away for 4 years and came back and fell right back into being their doormat enabler.

The sister and mother would've come out just fine if they hadn't broken into someone's home. They only have themselves to blame for ending up doing time in prison. OP never, ever forced them to do any of the illegal activities they engaged in. The commenters calling OP nasty have obviously never had to deal with toxic people in their lives... or are toxic themselves.

Sometimes I ask myself: These people who said OP was evil for doing that with her mother and sister , are these people the same who says other OPs should forgive their abusive family who contacted them after years? I dunno why but: When u got revenge, ur evil, when you cut them off, you're harsh, thei're your flesh and blood, you're going to regret *sob sob*, but when you try to help bc they're your family, you're a doormat and an idiot who deserves it.
I'm not used to reddit users, but I ask myself if these people are loyal to their speech, or it's only bc it's not their situation, their family and their life: If it's not you, you don't care.

    • @twistedumbrella7537
      @twistedumbrella7537 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

Completely agree with you, people too easily pass comments on others' situations and try and judge them for not being a saint or on the other hand for not being a legend who handled everything in such a way that resolves the discomfort people feel when reading about people in these horrible unfair situations.
They are just people, and at the end of the day, if you are not a narcissist, you need to ask yourself if you could possibly know if you could do better in their situation without ever actually experiencing it.
It's like that quote "Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face" It's the same with being in a difficult situation, easy to act like you would know what to do, and then when you are actually in a truly difficult situation, that's when you actually start thinking about all the different things that prevent you from making the "best" choice.

Lucky for those, they’ve probably had the great family that is very supportive.. when you don’t have that.. you learn the hardway… back to Eva.. she really only game them EXACTLY what they asked for… she didn’t make them (hell, she didn’t even ask them) to essentially break into someone house at night.. Hell, I know some people.. doing that could have gotten themselves shot… in many states, the homeowner (Charlie) would have fully been within his rights to do so. In this case… Eva didn’t do a damn thing to Mom and sis.. other than hand them a bigger shovel.. at their request.

Given the fact they treated her like an ATM machine and their personal slave they got what they deserved! Constantly stealing from her purse - illegal. Requesting an address to breakin then set someone up for blackmail - illegal. Giving your malicious conniving sister your boyfriend's address knowing he's a policeman but not telling her his occupation - genius! The sister chose to break the law and mother chose to go along. Op allowed them to walk into a situation where their decisions and choices would determine the consequences. So after injuring op for years they finally caused their own greatest injuries after being so ungrateful and having hearts of stone they received what they earned.

In other words this whole Reddit posts was a story about how one female couldn't cut off her family members and constantly put themselves in an abusive situation and his whining about it on Reddit. Like you cut them off once but then you contacted them back because you were worried about them only to realize that you put yourself back in that situation again and you still yet don't know how to cut them out of ur life permanently. Sure they are family but don't use that excuse to keep in contact with them they just make you look stupid. You live a great life, not a toxic one

I agree but I understand that most people don't always learn the first or second time. I can't fault her for trying to maintain hope that things will be different (especially with family) after the first instance but everyone has their breaking point. It just takes some people more time than others to accept the fact that things will never change

I don’t think OP expected them to get arrested. I think Charlie, the cop, saw them clearly. But I think OP expected the sister to come onto Charlie and harass him some and that Charlie would reveal that it wasn’t okay and what could happen. I wouldn’t expect someone to break into a house just because I gave my sister the address .

OP didn't land them in jail, they did that themselves by breaking and entering???? i don't understand how anyone could blame OP for that. she thought they were gonna be tacky, not straight up criminal??
now that i think about it, i wouldn't have been surprised if they had gotten some sort of indecent exposure charge, since her sister stripped before going in the room. so they didn't even get charged for everything they did that night, or for the multiple times they stole from her.
OP let them off easy tbh.
