Story Summary :-
OP (27M) has an extremely competitive relationship with his brother Luca (29M). Their mother (57F) has always tried to keep the peace, but they’ve been rivals in everything their entire lives. It heated up in middle school and high school when they both started playing basketball and argued over which of them was better. It got worse when they were teenagers and started fighting over the same girls. Their worst argument was when they lost their father just after OP finished college, and their mother had to watch them fight over his inheritance. To spare Mamma further heartbreak, they eventually settle on splitting the money evenly and putting it all into a gym that they decide to run together. To make sure they have a tiebreaker for disagreements, they give a smaller ownership stake to their mutual friend Mark (27M). Things go well for a while, until their accountant, Clara (25F), finds money missing from their books and suspects that someone’s embezzling. After Clara traces a series of withdrawals to a bank that only OP uses, Mark and Luca threaten to press charges against him unless he surrenders his share of ownership to them. Having lost his position, OP struggles financially to the point that he’s left by his wife Kelly (23F) and their daughter Addie (5F). But when he goes to the gym to finish signing over his stake, he finds receipts on Luca’s desk that link him to the stolen money, and further digging reveals that Mark was in on it. He also learns that Luca cleaned out the account behind Mark’s back. OP presses charges, and the other two face likely prison time while OP becomes sole owner and makes twice as much money. He’s able to repair his relationship with Kelly, and he gives Mark’s stake to Clara as a reward for being the only person in the business he was able to trust.

This is crazy...why would you "do what they say" since you did nothing wrong. Call a foresic accountant and move forward from there..because if the accountant you had was any good she would have caught the embezzlement before NOW!! You should NEVER have let Kelly back in.
So many of these stories have to be fake. If they have the name of the bank and the account number, it should be very easy to find the owner of the account. Problem solved.

Banks will not even tell you if a person holds an account.
It's confidential. Banks won't even let you deposit in an account that you are not signed on.

the bs of this story would be the accountant could of tracked down the bank account to the two in a few minutes and would know how to like the PI
Go to the bank with your wife and your two partners have everyone show IDs and see if the account match’s anyone ID. Since you have an account number that should be easy to do. Talk to the bank president about the situation as a group and ask him to check those IDs again your IDs just to calm everyone down and get everyone on the same page. Then you can go to the police and press charges against whoever owns the account which the police will be able to find out with a warrant.
I would fire your accountant also

It is extremely disturbing that both his mother and his wife turned on OP. Because of the emotional content, it is difficult for OP to consider being suspicious of either one of them at this point, but it would be wise to do so because there is a distinct possibility that either or both of them could abandon him again -- and they both did it when he needed them the most. We all would like to believe the problem is solved, but love is NOT transactional. If anyone treats it as if it is transactional, they are definitely not trust worthy and it can lead to very ugly results.
So stupid.
Just get together, talk with the bank manager, ask whose account it is.
