It’s also shown in the scene that the Bolt replacement dog was trained, which is how Penny was able to figure out it wasn’t Bolt.
In other words, Jeremy manipulates a scene in order to sin it cliche.
I spent the entire video looking to see if anyone commented this
I had gotten confused for years due to me thinking that the replacement dog they show was somehow a robot, and the dog wussing out and running away when they tried cornering it.

Exactly.
True. There are times when I go to edit video's for my own channel, I have to listen to clips a few times and zoom in on specific clips to cut them. And a few time's I have to hit the "undo" button because I have made a mistake that I want to correct. And, while it hasn't happened too often, at times I have to scrap the whole thing by either deleting and closing out my video editor and reopening it or straight up closing out the program.
Ikr? Even as a basic Photos Legacy editor for skits, I still have to rewatch clips over and over and over again.
The sins where Jeremy basically narrate what's going on in the scene becomes even more egregious when combined with how much Jeremy apparently hates narrating
It's a constant loop if you think about it. Especially about sinning logos when Jeremy apparently has a long logo sequence based off of comments on this video. XD

5:35 Another reason why the producers of the show might not go to the trouble of making their cat actors think it's all real the same way they do with Bolt, is because Bolt is the main character and is in practically every scene, while the cats would only show up in, what, maybe a scene or two per episode? Jumping through just as many hoops to keep _them_ fooled wouldn't be worth it.
Damn this is such a good point I never realized. Bolt was my favorite movie as a kid and I'm glad we can shit on CinemaSins.
I think more of the reason why we cut to bolt barking was because he was about to curse and say something that would have been inappropriate for children. and the cat knows what he said and just smirk it to the other one like. damn, we pissed him off really good this time. what did I tell you. he is such a big idiot.

That was exactly what my first thought was when I watched the movie! Similar to when a couple is arguing in a car and they cut away to a shot of the traffic with a horn going off to cover up the sound of any expletives. It's a comedic way to let kids know that something "rude" was said!
I personally interpreted as the cats hearing his name calling as senseless noise as if he were just barking (like ignoring a raging 12 year old on Call of Duty), but him cursing would also make sense.

Ttlynothaydn, Bolt and Hancock were my most favorite superhero films that weren’t apart of any comic book franchise, and I agree with you entirely that both Hancock and Bolt are super underrated.
I know and although I love WALL-E so much (it’s my favorite Pixar film) the fact that this film had to compete with that the same same year definitely did not help

What’s even more impressive is that this film was not made by professionals it was made by students so that’s why in some of the background is the look painted. So it makes it even worse that he is complaining

The biggest plot sin of this movie is why didn’t they just shoot the whole episode at once so bolt was able to save penny right away and then just release the episodes in 2 parts.

I was thinking the same thing as an adult.
When you re-watch this opening scene, knowing that the producers of the show are trying their hardest to convince Bolt it's real, you start to question, which parts of the screen were actually filmed and which were edited with CGI in post-production. For example, the shot where Bolt holds a car on the bridge wouldn't be possible IRL, so he must've held a rubber prop. The "Bolt roar" was entirely CGI as the actual dog, obviously, couldn't produce enough force. And whenever he aimed "lazer eyes", he would just stare at a prop and the pyrotechnics would secretly detonate an explosive. It's really fascinating to think about this, isn't it?
Edit: another point about the "one take for the entire scene": that implies that cameras had to be placed everywhere on that track, including the ones on the drones for shots like at 3:39 (probably masked as pigeons too, otherwise Bolt would notice something strange). The train was likely waiting somewhere around the corner to move, because there are cameras inside of it. The more I think about this, the crazier it gets.
I'm still not sure how feasible doing stuff like that in one take would be possible without the dog noticing something was off. Was the entire bridge set rigged to move underneath him when he did his super jump? Were the motorcycles equipped with speakers that made them sound like they were going fast while they chased the scooter, while they actually moved really slow to make Bolt feel faster?
5:46 Gotta admit, the "John Tra-*bolt*-a" bit hit me so hard when I first saw this video, that I was laughing with one even worse than Jeremy's fake-ass laugh
I feel like it would help if CinemaSin's had either a separate tally system for "jokes" and observations rather than just adding them to the sin counter. OR just not adding them to the sin counter at all. His videos would still be bad but at least it wouldn't be so annoying.

That alone is enough to lose respect for CinemaSins. You cannot sin Inspector Gadget; even it's theme song is so good you cannot get it out of your head, even if you haven't seen it in years it still comes back and repeats in your brain.

How is this sins video suppossed to be satire or comedy? It's saying "I'm a grown man who can't understand a childrens movie but I'm not making exaggerated points or good jokes and just sound genuinely confused all the time which makes it bad satire and worse comedy" Like he even apparently doesn't understand how editing works and that pisses me off because I know someone had to edit that dumbass statement and sigh to themselves at how they aren't being appreciated.

My friend: so I was watching this movie and it’s kinda messed up.
Me: oh, how so?
My friend: There’s a popular movie star that was stuffed in a package and he got mailed to New York and ended up in a garbage bin. So in the garbage bin he finds a starving homeless girl and threatens to kill her if she doesn’t bring him to Hollywood. So then they steal food from people and they sneak onto different peoples cars and trucks to get to holly wood, but then it turns out the starving homeless used to be in jail and the movie star guy breaks her out of jail. The homeless girl then tries to get the movie star to be homeless with her and he gets mad and says no. Then he gets back to Hollywood and almost died in a fire and the end.

But if I grabbed one of those corgies and swapped Remmie with it, my mom would instantly know. It wouldn’t even take a second. We bond with and spend incredible amounts of time with our pets. Even if they look identical to another animal, there are little quirks about them that we would know were off.
