Junker Queen is so much fun to play tho
She's still playable, she just sometimes doesn't have as much utility as other tanks.
I tend to SLAUGHTER with her, but know when I'm getting overwhelmed and not doing enough.
I even find she works fairly well against Orisa!
I honestly find her as more dps but dang she’s so much fun to play, was a hog main back in OW1 but JQ is taking the spot haha

Very sad for Junker Queen, wish they would bring back her commanding shout a bit - just like half the cool down or something. She’s just so satisfying to play at least at the casual levels in pubs
Half the cooldown? That would be insanely OP. 7s for a massive team buff? I wouldn't drop it below 12s unless there are serious nerfs to the ability itself.

@@Chr0n0s38 the way they said “just” half the cooldown and “bring back” makes me think they meant half the cooldown increase? Because it went from 11 to 15 then down to 14? Honestly idk, 12 or 13 would probably be my ideal.

Doomfist getting bullied by an Orisa is such an understatement. I went half a match as Doomfist vs her and everytime I went to rocket punch anywhere I'd get the javelin. It feels like she gets the javelin back as soon as Doomfist gets his rocket punch
Orisa is also a hard counter against Reinhardt. The javelin throw, the javelin spin AND the fortify block the charge (so you basically can’t charge her), she can keep Reinhardt far enough with her javelin so he can’t hit her and his ult is negated by her fortify and her own ult. when there is an prisa on the other team, you either have to flank (as Reinhardt) or just change hero.
She basically does, and even if she can't javelin you, she just fortifies to completely shut down the punch. In my opinion, I think most of her abilities should have longer cooldowns, and the spin shouldn't push you as far as it does.
Orissa is a big counter to all of the brawl tanks. The long range poke tanks and dive tanks are her weakness though.
@Cwasont no. She doesn't need longer cooldowns and javelin spin definitely doesn't need less knockback. We don't want orissa spin to work like current dva thruster.

Solid tips, but Junker Queen is still the most fun. Haha Nothing beats the knife pull head shots into an axe kill.

I don't know man a ult into multiple hits with axe has to be the best feeling for me. Especially now when you burst heal off bleeding elims.

I thought JQ was good after her recent buffs. I can't put her below doom. Doom is just way too difficult that if you aren't a master with him he's worthless while JQ can do some good work and she's not hard.
As a zen main, I'm happy that I won't get one hit combo by some flanking hog

@@chinmku268 I’d say doom is better but has a higher skill ceiling, queen is kinda like a worse road hog even after the hog nerfs imo. She just doesn’t do anything well, she’s not the best tank for kills, protecting your team, utility, brawling, poke, or anything really- she’s not even the best grab and pull someone to you and shotgun them hero and that’s incredibly specific 😂

I've been playing junker since the start of this season, I switch when I have to, but she is so much fun. I noticed I can't control the tempo of the fight as well with her though
I will admit when you cap a point with junker and at least have a teamate by your side to defend the shines, she's great at holding points when you abuse her close range damage and keep doing damage to heal
I play monke and hammer man and no meta can tell me to change that

I wouldn’t say JQ is the worst tank, in general I would say WB and doom are worse (except for OTPs or very experienced players). Anyway, I discovered your shorts not long ago and I’m really enjoying them. Keep going! :)
Those are difficult heroes and are always gonna be trash for low to mid skill players. If they aren’t they’re probably overtuned
If you think commanding shout is the most important part of Junker Queen, then you don't know how to play Junker Queen

@@Shawn-yo4oc nope it has been decreasing and increasing it’s not always been going up hill especially since they have terrible balance changed most of the time now, shitty monetisation, and delayed PVE (which was supposed to be the large difference between overwatch 1 and overwatch 2).

Sigma feels great right now. It seems like ham is his biggest counter and there aren’t a lot of tanks good with him so the tanks I play against swap like 3-4 times trying to figure out something that works.

I disagree about Junker Queen, I think she is extremely viable especially against orisa and other tanky characters because of her high self sustain
She literally has 3 moves to shut you down.
The amount of things a orisa can pull off to shutdown your abilities/engagements is crazy and usually a death sentence.
I personally think she’s a be it all end all rank right now,unless it’s on dive maps.
I’m a junker queen main and I slaughter with her. So she’s not bad she just need to be played by the right people and have some time put into her. She’s a really good tank

Thought junker queen was strong since her last buffs
Always remember that just because a character isnt in the best place doesn't mean you can do good on them. Doomfist is always trashed on, u till you see a player like ZBRA dominate on him. You will find the most success playing a character you enjoy and vibe with than by being a meta chaser, and insta locking the current broken character until they get nerfed.
Best strat is to learn a variety of characters with a general role tbh
I doubt Fire strike buffs will help Rein's position...

Yeah, that’s pretty much the vibe. Sojourn needs more turning and Doom + JQ are seriously lacking. Also coming directly from a Ramattra main, I definitely think Ram deserves a nerf too. Increased ult cost and longer nemesis cooldown, if not a cooldown on block like defense matrix
@@NeochromeNarratives they’re making it so the ult has a time limit, or where enemies in it only slows down the duration drain and more enemies increases that. They said it would be kinda confusing.
@@Grizzy6122 I think the max uptime should be like 12 or 15 seconds, and then increase the initial cast time to five seconds. That way with an increased cost, there’s not as much punishment for a bad activation.
I disagree with Doomfist. Last time he got buffed literal flood gates of whiners opened and got him nerfed in a week

His buff merely made him do 10+ Impact dmg and made his Fist Charge time from 4 to 3 second (there’s more but these are most noticeable) I don’t get why people would whine over that small buff. His nerf now decreased Fist Charge time from 3 to 4 second (again there’s more but this is most noticeable) and I still don’t hear any whiners

I will say the knockback on orisas spin move is ridiculous and that it can push back a charging Reinhardt is dumb. I get the lance knocking him out of charge but the spin move should only block the charge not completely negate it and push it back.

Honestly wish they'd work on Shout, the ability to buff teammates and bleed were her calling card to me
Fr, the cooldown is so long and it doesn't last that much, It would be better if it had a cooldown of 8 seconds like Rammatra's Nemesis form and they reduced the speed buff to teammates, she's one of the worst tanks because she can't really tank, she needs be close to walls unlike other tanks, they need to buff her only ability that allows her to protect herself.

Tbh the 3 best tanks are orisa sigma and Winston, sigma counters orisa and Winston is good for high ground maps.

Roadhog to me is now a finisher. He can't just solo without a heavy price to pay. Besides, his heals are too high. And y'all want him buffed again.

Prediction for Season 3 Meta:
Tank: Orisa and Ramattra stay Meta picks and dominate season 3. If ramattra gets nerfed, DVa and Sigma could gain more traction.
DPS: Soujourn will still be the best dps but will start to lose playtime as she gets harder to play by each nerf. Hanzo and Widow will be meta do to their one shots but will mostly only be played at high level. Tracer could also be meta going against certian supports. Especially in an Ana/Zen build
Support: At the beginning of season 3, Kiriko and Mercy will be meta but as the season goes on. Ana/Zen could gain more traction. Mercy will fall off with Soujourn and Zen will take over do to have overpowered discord is. Ana will continue to become more popular if kiriko continuesly gets nerfed.

Winston’s always been one of the few balanced characters in the game 🤔 Which is also why there were full years in which he was a throw puck lol

If orisa is the highest tank there is that's a good thing. I think she's a very well made tank that isn't nearly as bad as roadhog.
She’s not outwardly oppressive. I think her spear is a little obnoxious but it’s very easy to force her to burn her abilities. She’s just hard to kill, but… I think that’s the point of the tank?
I find Zarya humiliates her (all beams go through her spin) and even Junker Queen seems to be able to go toe-to-toe with her in my experience.
Even as a goldie I'm shocked people think she's this oppressive unkillable monster. She has no mobility and not even the highest health of the tanks. You just pile on damage and she dies.
@@RacingSnails64 Health isn’t everything. Fortify adds 75 health (used to be 125), reduces damage by 50%. She also can’t be headshot. A Widow crit which is normally 300 goes down to 60, which isn’t even enough to remove the extra HP. If you get through that there’s armor, which reduces damage by 30%. Then there’s the spin spear, which destroys all projectiles. And the javelin defends her by preventing you from doing damage. And her terra surge applies fortify. And her large hit box means healers heal her easily. Cycling all these things does make her unkillable.
I think her kit is about as inspired as a wet paper towel

Winston and dva main here, pre end season patch hog was rampant and playing orisa was a must. Now we have dive as a valid counter to orisa but carrying as a dive tank is one of the most stressful things in metal ranks. But i guess that's the secret, you gotta have a calm mind at the end of the day to win. Anti tilting and anti toxicity ftw

I'd say road is better against tanks now since he can pump more shots faster
The damaged overall is the same, and in situations like when booking a Sigma, or trying to kill a Winston bubble dancing. It’s still a nerf because you’ll reliably only get one shot on them that is now lower damage
@@Dunmuir I thought it was technically an overall buff if you hit all your shots. Obviously that's asking too much but still.
@@TheHQZombie total damage per second without reload is drastically higher before, with reload counted it's a tiny bit higher like 157 vs 165
