Whoever said they just "adjusted the spawn rates from 1/6 to 1/4 as originally intended" was completely talking out of their ass, because clearly they didn't do any internal testing to see if their change actually worked. Also, how do you develop a game for almost 8 years straight without noticing you didn't have enemy spawns working as intended in the first place?
Few thoughts about balancing. I’m not for “never nerf”. I bought super credits to support Arrowhead. However, I lost joy with the last balancing patches. Why:
A big part the game is the feeling. Weapons have weight, enemies react to hits and we don’t scale only by HP. Great. BUT, the feeling is disturbed with enemy buffs. Trailer/early gameplay allows killing a bile titan via EAT headshot. Doesn't work now. Spawn increased. More big foes and less effective weapons. For casuals (me) this turns HD2 into a “runaway simulator” at high diff (which I need for progress by samples…). More skilled players probably enjoy the higher difficulty. That’s why I have some suggestions regarding the balancing:
• Let heavy weapons be heavy hitters
• Don’t try to balance the game like its an e-sports title. It isn’t
• Don’t punish players for playing with 1 or 2 friends
• Drastically increase difficulty for 8 and 9 (compared to 1-7), so “dad gamers” can get their progression (a bit slower) while enthusiasts can have their challenge
• More diverse loadouts by enemy resistances (please no physical). Breaker incendiary gets less interesting a certain % of enemies may have fire resistance. Same for gas, lightning, etc.
• Increase toughness of big enemies by adding ERA for heavy Automaton units. And a symbiosis with another armored bug that tanks a hit before the Titans head is vulnerable. Use small bugs riding a titan and throwing thorns in the direction of incoming EAT. Spawn these with normal enemies (while their share rises in high difficulties).

Basically, you can’t carry it around in public, and it can’t leave the country, it has to just be displayed. Sort of like how in America, I am pretty sure you can’t carry a katana into subway
valve already said through support that it's not them who doing it, it's publisher decision.
Well, unfortunately, we can't review Sony as a publisher on Steam. So the only outlet we have to voice our disapproval is through the game's reviews. Yes it sucks that a great game like HD2 is being negatively reviewed for something their publisher is responsible for, BUT THAT'S HOW TO WORLD WORKS. Sometimes, the people who face the consequences for something aren't the ones who made the choice that led to those consequences in the first place.
The negative reviews WILL BE REVERSED.... as soon as Sony decides to follow through on fully removing the PSN requirement on Steam & re-listing the game in the 170+ countries it has been pulled from.
@@Secret_Takodachi I am afraid they will not lease the regional "buying ban", they were only obligated to do something to already sold copies within a law. But now they are doing their steam page within their TOS requirements and managing it within their PSN. Someone "hecked up" on release just allowing so much. And now they are just "fixing their errors". So I would not bet on that sony will go against their TOS within new sellings. You see there is a licensing thing and you cannot sell everywhere if you can only obtained regional licenses due to your, or license department choice.

You all should stop effing whining over every damn thing. That's why the Damn nerfs are ruining the game.. because of yall
No way any team can test weapons better than 1000s of players. This is how it breaks down. We can get power creep weapons that require nerf down the road (still mopping up tears from the erupter nerf) or can get underwhelming warbonds that get buffed later on. Also, by having the new war bonds at the level they are at makes it less necessary to get them to be competitive. I like that so much more than "you NEED this warbond because it's statically better than every other one," especially in a game where non meta kicks were the norm.

You're going to be flipping that enthusiasm to rage real soon. Here's a quick rundown of the Illuminate:
1) All of their units have shields
2) They can project force walls to box helldivers in and prevent them from fleeing
3) They can reverse all of your inputs
4) They can mind control and force you to kill your teammates
In the first game, it wasn't uncommon for people to completely eliminate the terminids and cyborgs only to get pushed all the way back to Super Earth by the illuminate alone.

There is a reload bug that makes me want to obliterate my PC. You can reload to a full magazine, and go to shoot the full auto weapon and he will shoot one bullet and reload AGAIN wasting 1-2 FULL magazines and also wasting time. It's got me killed so many times it's game breaking against bugs
Not sure why nobody is talking about it, is it that rare? I’ve had it happen to me many times, I almost empty my weapon, reload, the reload animation plays out but the gun is empty……
That bug has gotten me killed more than once, thought it was a skill issue on my part but i waited for the diver to charge the handle and the mag to go white on the UI. Still pop off one shot and back to reloading.

They've done a pretty good job so far of referencing other sci-fi while still keeping to their own artstyle, which is impressive
The thing about this that they could have scored major points by being different than Microsoft, Ubisoft, and Rockstar and not requiring any kind of account/app linking. They could have actually been a company that was an outlier. Like, “hey, buy or games we aren’t trying to force you to give us your data like these other companies!” What a blunder on their part.

They do need time to process the legal framework for their games to work in PSN banned countries.
This is a bit misleading. Valve did the 3 more region bans on their own but determining which countries even ARE regionlocked is a publisher's job. Ultimately the fault lies with Sony.
Yeah, I’ve been wanting to say that for awhile now. The thing is technically Sony never promised they would never do PSN right? So Steam cannot take it back until Sony promises they’re not gonna do PSN. Because if they do, they can get in some quite big deep legal shit. So basically steam is forcing Sony’s hand to either side with the player base fully or go back on their shit now and require PSN.

From what I've heard the helldivers IP belongs to Sony, so it wouldn't "just" be publishing rights but buying the whole IP. It's highly unlikely that Sony would even consider selling that, and even if they did, it would be way too expensive for Arrowhead.
That’s tuff, dbd bought their rights for around 10+ millions, but they are paying it through royalties not all at once if I’m correct, but might be a lil different with a direct ip with Sony.

Japan has specific laws about microtransactions, made so that if you buy in-game currencies that you do not use, the game has to refund them when it close.
So they have specific versions.

Some armours seem to be inspired by it and the LAS in the laser weapons could be as laser weapons atleast for the IOM are called las weapons

I noticed you were using an anti material rifle. Yesterday I tried out a loadout using the SMG-37, P-4, ballistic shield, and anti material rifle, and it worked extremely well against automatons. You should try it out 👍
Newest warbond isnt great. However, I've been using the pummeler non stop on level 9 bugs and have come to the conclusion that it's slept on. It's not a jack of all trades weapon, but it's very supportive and helpful when one mag can stagger enough enemies to give any alies a 10 meter minimum save distance from whatever is chasing it as long as it's not a titan. It can even stun lock chargers if you hit them in flesh and arent at full momentum while you do so.
I dont mind if they get the link over rewards. Just taking without giving doesnt work, as long as there is sugar to be had, the whip will be ignored. but if theres only whipping...

A thought I had considering the effects of what happened in the first game, the Illuminate were wiped out if I recall. But considering their kind of interactions they had with Super Earth, perhaps as the Automatons are a continuation but a different extension to the Cyborgs, maybe the Illuminate have their own extension of their kind but are not affiliated. Maybe instead they're a group divorced from their own kind, who are returning to the galaxy now that their Illuminate rivals are gone.

Any ammo pickup should replenish all secondary ammo as a basic function, except grenade pistol. Make it 2 for ammo boxes, half for supply drop, and full for supply drop + ship module

In the crossover thing I think a gow themed cape or a armor sprayed with his tattoos would be cool but, yeah it couldn't be like most games. I know someone that wants pink or some stickers on her armor.
Earth Defense Force would be a fitting collaboration. Super earth being attacked by giant insects of us getting dumb weapons like nuffed blazar that deals good amount of damage but cant be reloaded so once its done your stuck with you secondary

The new AR in the new war Bond looks almost exactly like a Halo BR. I actually just switch it to Burst and use it like a Halo BR and it's been fantastic. I love it

Thought ghost of tsushima only required PSN for the Legends mode which is the multiplayer DLC, and that the single player(which is the whole reason people even play the game pretty much) doesn’t require PSN. That was from a tweet from the dev studio CEO allegedly.

please fix the extraction bug. i just complete a mission, but it didnt count and we didnt get any reward when we get on to the ship, xp, $$ even our super sample.
Im a super earth citizen and ive never seen an alien like predator before, we know terminids but the ones that you describe, never seen them.
Another thing that’s not being touched on, some of the countries listed that “cannot create a psn account” in fact can create a psn account.
I live in Puerto Rico for example and on here you can create a psn account and so can my friends. They too refunded the game and once they where interested on buying it again, now they can’t because of the psn country restrictions.
Plas purifier needs some love. I really want to like this gun but it's missing damage, zoom for what it seems designed for (long distance fights), and headshots also seem to not work.
I'll even settle for some utility like closing bug holes or factories. Doesn't need everything, I'll settle for no damage increase but please give it zoom in sights at the very least.
Every gun I touch feels like it's missing something, it's horrible.
Lets just hope that when the Illuminate arrive, those contries are reinstated. Because right now, wer'e working with nerfed weapons and a vastly smaller army since launch. We're gonna need all of the help that we can get.

I really hope they show some better decisions with the balance in this upcoming update so i can change my review and return to the game. I am sad for the people who cant buy the game but i also understand the corpo crap they have to go through to get this situation handled. Im sure they have to hold board meetings to make these kinds of decisions however with the stock price clearly taking a hit from this you would think they would take some initiative and get the problem solved sooner rather than later.
All Sony had to do was offer an in-game reward to players for linking their Steam account to PSN. They would have gotten thousands of new accounts, no drama and no kneecapping a hit game.
tsushima isnt required under the psn thing for main game which is the only part that matters. it is ONLY the multiplayer that will require psn

They, really need a "shooting range", have it be when you go to "tutorial" you drop in picking your load out as normal (at least) then either have different gear available, or when "dropping in" let you pick anything. This would help build hype for warbonds, let people test and actually enjoy some of those different pieces of gear you need to use differently then hold mouse 1.
The AMR doesnt get full ammo from using a supply backpack either.
Was about to post exactly that, noticed it yesterday. I have the ship module that enables you to max load on magazines for support weapons with resupplies, but still only got three AMR mags from my supply backpack. Supply backpacks are supposed to be exactly the same as resupply ones.

I really wish people would stop asking Arrowhead about crossover collabs, we really don't want that crap. Lets get the Illuminate added before we worry about adding another out-of-universe enemy faction. (Collabs, Weapon Balance, Sony)

Feel like I need to do this as a public service announcement for all divers.
People are seriously sleeping on the patriot mech against bots. Since the patch that reduced incoming rocket damage they are surprisingly tanky. With the exception of canons (I'll get to that), you can tank atleast half a dozen direct rockets or more and an ungodly amount of small arms fire (the smallest stuff literally just ricochets off).
Now I wouldn't recommend bringing one down with a canon turret or multiple in the distance or possibly atall. They must be eliminated first. Everything else is a go. They decimate tanks with 3 rockets, can one shot a hulk although I've found again around 3 with reasonable aim is easily achievable. The 1000 rounds of minigun ammo should mulch all small and medium enemies (don't be afraid to use rockets in a pinch a dead mech is no use).
However this is the meat of my argument, factory walkers!
Now I'm now 100% percent on this as more testing is needed but I'm pretty sure they can 1v1 a walker! 3 rockets to the turret and that's gone and so far I haven't seen one take more than 9 rockets to the face soon after. I've literally folded one by myself in all of 30 seconds. I couldn't believe it at first, I think the splash damage hits both crit spots on the face and just smashed them. Now I know you only get two a game but for all by level 8 and 9 being able to 1v1 a walker not to mention go on a multi heavy killing spree which boosting moral with a never ending stream of lead from the minigun.
Lastly mobility, the mech moves as fast as someone with medium armour but has 0 stamina. So it's actually quicker over the longer distances. As someone that plays heavy armour this can be great for the often very kinetic and far away push back to the extract and hold.
Add in the fact you can walk through trees, rocks, barbed wire and environmental traps without repercussion. You can literally carve a quicker path through forests or onto an objective for your team. All the while drawing fire and dishing out maximum punishment.
You HAVE TO PRACTICE! Accept you're not guna be great at first, the rockets take finesse to learn and your target acquisition and use of the rockets must be effective to get the most out of them. With good positioning and awareness of any one shot threats I'd say I eject alive from a completely spent mech 80% of the time. Sometimes they're good, sometimes I literally feel like a god of war. There is no strategem on the game that when used right can cause as much damage at the patriot.

The Granate Pistole only gets 2 Shots from resupply, you need 4 Packs to get full ammo ! Thats Bad !
And yet it makes perfect sense because you get two grenades from a supply pack also.
And unlike grenades you actually get one from an ammo pack.
Grenades are a big deal.
