    I agree, Jeff! Jesus broke down barriers, socially, economically, culturally.
    It is not our job to separate people into categories, or base their spirituality on our perception of them. God knows the heart of every individual, and He, as Jesus, chose to eat with and share life with everyone. He loves everyone, whether they choose to oppose Him or not. So should we. Love without category. Live without limiting the sharing of truth and peace of Jesus. Perceive people with God's perspective. And that's only going to come by the reading of God's holy word and praying that He'll transform our hearts and minds, to see the world the way He does- through eyes of grace.

    Jefferson has a great point. We shouldn't waste time trying to judge and condemn people for their lifestyle. Religion always tries to dictate who people should be and that'st the problem. We need relationship and connection through love not religion. God doesn't want us pointing fingers and telling people how wrong they are. That won't bring anyone to him. It just makes people run away faster.

    James 2:10 - For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one [point], he is guilty of all.
    God sees sin as sin ^(Verse above), true.
    1.Romans 1:27 - And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
    2.Leviticus 20:13 - If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood [shall be] upon them.
    Being Gay is a sin, true. But hating someone for their sin is not showing one the love of God. Does God hate sin, yes. Should we as saints hate sin, yes. For the Fear of the Lord, is to hate all which is evil. Bashing someone with hate though, is not the way to go. It acceptance, and love which pulls someone in. God corrects us with love, remember that & do not try to justify your sin, because it is written what is wrong in Gods eyes.
    I understand from personal experience, it was God's love which saved me, it wasn't the consistent throwing of scripture in my face that did.
    Be aware of the sin, & do not justify it. But repent, & you will be forgiven.
    For all who sin, and whose eyes are open to their ways, know the Lord created you, and He does not cause error, but this flesh here on this earth is what we must die to, in order to live. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.-Philippians 1:21
    "Its not hate the sin, love the sinner.", but its hate sin and pull them in with Love, so that they are no longer that sinner, but become a child of God to the fullest. We die to ourselves to please the Lord, because we love the Lord, and it is what He asks of us.
    "He says, come as you are, and you will be set free from your wicked ways."
    -God bless you!
    Remember my brothers & sisters, correct eachother in love, not in judgement. We have the authority to judge righteously, not in hypocrisy.

    No One is blameless. But I will say this there are a lot of Christians out there who say they are Christians who are on their way to hell as well. Matthew 7:22-23 says …22"Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?' 23"And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.' Al I am saying is be careful. If I believe the spirit of God. I am confident that the holy spirit will lead to the proper conviction of our own sins. Each of us have sins we combat.. Let each of us spiritually consider the war that is within us.

    No one by their sinfulness should offend me because I myself I'm a sinner. God forgave me and had grace over me, so who am I to esteem myself better than others. We forget to humble ourselves and to love. How can we show others who God is if we are showing hate to one another? "Religious hypocrites offer only selective welcome with judgement". Jesus is the complete opposite. He welcomes the broken.

    Love the sinner, hate the sin. Only by showing true, unconditional love (not lust, which is what people if our generation think "love" is by accepting things that aren't true according to His word) will his or her heart change because of His works through the one showing the love.

    There's a lot of opinion out there, but let's just examine scripture:
    Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
    (1 Cor 6:9-11, NIV)
    As with any sin, we love the sinner and want them to be drawn to Christ so He can wash them of their sin and they can live a changed and empowered life...It really is that simple.
    The problem is when our society tries to justify sin. These interviews are designed to try and make people feel they are mean or hateful for believing the Bible, and then get them to water down what the scriptures teach...

    It was the love and truth of God that brought me to repentance of not just homosexuality, but all of the addictions I turned to in my life. I was an agnostic until I came to Christ, when I knew for sure that God was real, but I still held onto this sin. I did everything to convince myself that "love is love", and if you told me otherwise I believed you were a hater. I struggled with suffocating depression, my identity, and wanting to commit suicide. God eventually brought me to the place where I had to make a choice, to continue destroying myself, or trust that what He had was better for me even if I didn't understand it. He is so loving, and gently spoke truth over me at that time, but He didn't allow me to bend the truth and not reap the consequences of my actions. One of the things I want you to know is God isn't commanding that you clean yourself up and earn a relationship with Him. Wherever you are right now, He simply says to trust Him, to give your life to Him, and follow where He leads you. He gives us the strength to face anything by the power of the Holy Spirit, and if we truly love Him no cost is too much. I think too often in the West we don't focus on making disciples. Disciples make Christ the center of their lives, not just a part in the background. When I surrendered everything to Jesus, He healed my depression and brokenness, gave me peace and became the true source of love in my life. God made marriage to be a picture of Christ and the Church, and this cannot be compromised in order to be relevant to our cultures. We have to accept as Christians that we will not fit in in this world, and that in order to truly love broken people we need to speak truth to them. Affirming sin is never loving, and Jesus has called us to a higher purpose and love than what this world offers. True love is Jesus Christ, Who willingly made the ultimate sacrifice, becoming the spotless Lamb of God to die and cleanse us from our sins through His precious blood, that we could have eternal life with Him forever, the Risen Lord.

    Ya, my mom is gay. Hard to deal because I so strongly want to be with Jesus and her too, following him, yet I see how he is rejected so much in the world. I hurt , knowing Jesus is all I need but with a hopelessness that what am I worth if I don't sacrifice my own interest or the perspectives of others of me?! It is like seeing someone going to jump off a building and you just watch. That is how it feels to me. As we are broken, and rejected as Jesus was we are also empathetic because we know how blind and arrogant we were. Even see how we still can be even after hearing JESUS ! WE CANNOT STAND FOR ABORTION AS IF IT IS OK or GAY MARRIAGE! We have to warn and take heed to the WORD and stand for GOD proudly proclaiming HE IS LORD at all costs! We will suffer and be persecuted for it, Rejected! However, I want to be able to say I have done all I can to stand. Even if that means discomforting those close to me or were close to me. Which is with the Laws and word of GOD when I find the lawless and their beliefs being imposed upon me. A lot of it is in form of positivity just like the devil appears as a beautiful angel. I get rejected as negative for sharing the TRUTH! Which is Jesus. Because of the rejection people will see Jesus as negative , as enemy, as evil. WHEN HE IS LOVE, LIFE, SALVATION! THE MOST HIGH CREATOR OF ALL BOTH SEEN AND UNSEEN! I am not Jesus and I cannot fathom how he was and is able to be so patient and bare rejection as he did as I see how those in my life reject me or question me negatively since it has been known that I seek Jesus! I have lost all my friends and family. It is struggle and brokenness and it should hurt us to know that those that claim to love us will hurt us just for their own interest. It isn't even about us anyways. It is about JESUS! So I continue on pursuing empathetically yet the change is there and it is scary and undeniable that I have to accept rejection and pray I have the courage to stand even if I were to be struck down. IN JESUS NAME! WE CANNOT RATIONALIZE THE BREAKING OF THE LORDS COMMANDMENTS EVER! WE MUST REPENT! In his GREAT NAME WE MUST STAND AGAINST THE WICKEDNESS OF OUR HEARTS! EVEN AT THE COST OF OUR OWN LIVES!

    • @lightupthedark4831
      @lightupthedark4831 ปีที่แล้ว

      @MAC LeVa Our works do not earn us salvation. They cannot because all our good works are but dirty rags to the Lord! We are called to obedience but no. We will not all be perfectly obedient before we are judged. It's that we fight the good fight. Turn from the flesh to seek the Spirit of God!
      We will be judged by our works so let our works be for the Lord and our works not be in vein. Meaning let us not think that if we do something good with will be rewarded for it. Or should be. Because doing the right thing is just the right thing to do. NOt reward worthy. Doing the wrong thing. Punishment is to be expected but with Christ. He offers the most disobedient his salvation if they would but turn from their wickedness.
      So that means if they are a murderer. To repent and pray for forgiveness and never murder again! Seek it from those also we have transgressed in the world. And forgive those who trespass against us. These are all things we must learn to become.
      Grow in Meekness, stay humble, kindhearted, and endure long suffering etc. For our own hearts and relationship with Christ to grow we must do these things!
      So obeying the Laws of Moses are not the only truths of obedience. Our obedience can only come through our love for CHrist and not hatred or rejection of him. We shoudl all want to be more Christ like!
      It's never safe to feel we are ok no matter what we do because Jesus died on the cross. It's not a freeby to sin. We must fight! I think that's what Christ is really after! That we fight against SIN that put him on that cross int he first place!

    Ok, the more responses I read I am so sad. What is wrong with you people. He didn't answer the question is that not obvious. He doesn't support or agree with his mom's choice but he loves her requrdless. If a homosexual approached jesus do you think he would of said '" No no no, not you you are greatest of all sinners and cast him to he'll."' I don't think so, he would loved them expressed his love forgave them. Now that sinner has the choice to fall on his knees in the grace of God or sin again. Reguardless that human would never be the same. To be loved so greatly feel that love. If not change then I'm sure you would never forget that moment and find your way. So all to commented. All were virgins when married or never lied, if not married you are still a virgin. Since we're going old school. You non virgins wouldn't of been married. May have been killed.

      Why would Jesus "clean" someone who was born gay? I just wish people with your point of view could study homosexuality further to understand that we did not choose to be gay, we are born this way. You have no idea how much your words hurt people over something they cant do anything about it. Do you wish a gay man could be with a woman even if he doesnt feel attracted to her?

      Charles Jones At some point in my life, I wish your statement was true. To bad you dont take the time to inform yourself about it. I was born gay, I didnt learned it from anywhere else. Its been in me since I was born, just like you are heterosexual. The difference is, I took the time to study it and make sure it was not a diseases or a learned bahavior. I found out its not. Mos importantly, I found out is not a sin (thanks theology). So use your perception to pass judgment. You want to understand homosexuality, ask a gay person.

      Charles Jones Are you actually asking me to explain a theological explanation to homosexuality on youtube? Really? It is not a lie, why would I support a lie? If you dont want to take the time to study and understand the Bible properly, thats your choice. But dont come here to make a statement you cant support. If you were a little bit responsible with the Bible,you would make an effort to understand how to interpret it. With logic, understanding and facts. Your statements lack these. You want to know what the Bible says about homosexuality, do me a favor. Buy this book
      What the Bible really says about homosexuality? By Dr. Daniel Helminiak. This is not his view, is what theology school teach their students. Take the time to read, its no that expensive and then we will talk.

      Angel M. Diaz-Rivera Dude dont give me that . NO 1 is born gay , because no newborn baby can possibly have sexual affection towards another baby of the same sex. Sexual affection devolops over time (Puberty)., which means homosexuality is developed not born with. Our brains are structured to release hormones at a certain age that prepare our bodies to mature sexually so our REPRODUCTIVE organs begin to mature with the ultimate goal of REPRODUCTION. A guy cant get another guy pregnant (period) . Natures goal is to reproduce then thats why we have REPRODUCTIVE organs !! So in essence gays are going against the very flow of nature and their bodies. 2 dix dont mix buddy.

    Wow! Is all I can say. Seems some of you must be perfect. "He is without sin may cast the first stone." I know I cant throw stones. My sister and son are gay. I love jesus and God. I also love my sister and son. Unconditional love means to love without any conditions. Meaning I love them Regaurdless who they are their choices, etc. I may not agree with them or like them. My love for them does not change. My son and sister both know my thought and feelings. Here is why? When my son came out he was worried I would not accept or love him. When sat down to talk. He realized I love him no matter what. He started to mind of bash God and Christians. This was perfect time to. Explain, now you are acting like religion. No different. Do not hate God because you choose to do something he doesn't like. God loves you as I love you Regaurdless. He doesn't like the sin. That his relationship with God is his own. A relationship with God with sin is better than none. How will He ever be saved if he is running from God. Instead of facing him and being cleansed or understanding that if you don't change the sin you will be judged. I think many Christians believe oh, your sinning, off to he'll you go. Even though you've been forgivin you don't think you won't go to judgement. Jesus died for our sins they are already forgivin. We are who need to confess the sin as human overcome that sin try not to do that sin again. I've been to many churches. Let me tell you not one of you is without sin. Judging, jealousy, slander, not acceptance, thinking your better, is all sin. Not one human being on this earth is without sin. Don't forget that. Great you pray asked forgiveness, that between you and God.

    No one who understands the Word of God would even call a woman living in sin with another woman a marriage, because a marriage as told to us by our Father in heaven, is between a man, and a woman. Joined together by Him. He created it, it can only be done by Him. No God, no marriage. No agreement to disagree. If you truly love your mom. Pray for the separation of that wrong relationship, and for her to have a relationship with our Saviour Jesus. As far as it not being our fight in the arena of the world. Well that's exactly where we need to be. Testifying before kings, presidents, and yes the media, that it is Lord Jesus, and God Almighty's will that we should know the Truth, and stand up for it no matter what the cost is. Hey Jeff, didn't you give a 5 minute video on why you hate religion? Shouldn't you have told that man that you're not part of the religious community? Its relationship not religion right? And please stop trying to make an argument based on comparisons on other situations or views. The Romans, really? There empire fell remember? They are in prophecy, and it doesn't end well for them at the end of the story. Read the book of Daniel again. I pray the Holy Spirit finish the work He started in you, and that the Word of God continues to come through you, with no comprises, or exceptions. Many false prophets are here in the world. Test the spirits to see if what they say line up 100% with our Father says.

    God bless everybody who is the center because we are all sinners about one thing to always get right is that God never lies and his instruction is never wrong God bless him and his mom he seems like a nice young man and he is very stuck and I’m sure he knows in his heart it’s wrong but there’s nothing he can do because it’s his mother you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make them drink so blessed him and hopefully the Lord will speak to his mother and she’ll find her way because every knee will bow and every mouth will confess that Jesus is Lord and we don’t need to tell people what they were doing wrong because they know in their hearts what they are doing wrong

    People always want to scream "don't judge", but that in itself is a judgment. Loving someone doesn't mean you unconditionally accept everything they do, or refuse to object from fear of upsetting a fragile "peace". That's cowardice, not love.
    Speaking from my own life, I detest homosexuality for multiple reasons. First, God says its wrong, and as such I can't follow Him if I'm unwilling to abide by that. Second, homosexuality has impacted my life several times, through family and close relationships. I was abused by another man when I was five, and one family member abandoned us because he thought God meant him to be a woman. My only previous romance was with a woman who had been previously involved with another female, and I wasn't mature enough to discuss that part of her past without freaking out. So, I see homosexuality as something that's inherently destructive, capable of nothing else.

      The capacity for sin which exists in humanity was created by God as part of our free will...because He knew that for love to mean anything, the choice of hate had to be an option. I've heard it put this way: "God is responsible for the fact of freedom, but we are responsible for our acts of freedom". Every choice for both right and wrong, light or darkness, has a consequence attached to it. The immediate effect of sin on Earth was the destruction of nature and corruption of humanity...but the ultimate result of sin is spiritual death. My pastor once explained sin as being "what we do, when our hearts are not satisfied with God". All of us have gone our own way at different times, in spite of God's wishes for us to trust Him. Because of that, none of us deserve Heaven, and none can earn it because God is equally just and loving. He can't just ignore sin, and He will not force anyone into His Kingdom against their will. So, if anyone ends up in hell, its because they chose it through denying and rebelling against God.

      How do you define justice in absolute terms, without a set standard unbound by human opinion? The "problem of suffering" is exactly why God remains relevant. People like to blame Him for their problems, but the truth is we live in a fallen world, far removed from His original creation. Original sin combined with millennia of continued human greed have wrecked this planet on many levels, along with encouraging selfishness instead of refusing it. God is willing to use many things which exist in our broken state, to draw us to Him; some people don't realize how much they need God until going through something very bad. The greatest thing about God is that in spite of all the bad we've done, said, and thought, He never abandons us. When we feel like He's far away, its usually because we've moved from Him, not the reverse.

      Without a set standard, there is no "unjust" for anything, because there is no absolute justice. In a world like that, someone could murder your closest friend in front of you, and the most you could reasonably object to would be your friend being dead and it hurting people's feelings. Any moral claim though, would be completely devoid of worth...and the same would happen of all other claims as well. That's why I keep telling people that absolute truth is so important; those who deny it have to rely on it in the process.

      I don't equate faith with a lack of independent or responsible thought, which is probably one of the biggest differences between us for this discussion. But I did notice one thing in your most recent post, about self-preservation. You said things like no one wants to be murdered, and I would respond with this: "Why is self-preservation a good thing, from a purely atheistic worldview?" In other words, what makes human life any more special than that of an animal or a virus? Also, why is mass consent the proper way to determine anything, without a standard above it serving as a marker?

    Well, it's good to know that at least Jefferson Bethke isn't in the same league as the Westboro Baptist Church, but there is oner major issue I have with him. When he was taking about tattoos in one video, he turned to a verse in Levidicus to get his point across. Of course being the "liberal" Christian that his, he puts his own positive. hippy interpenetration to it, making it sound more like a polite suggestion than a draconian law.
    This means that to some extent, he most likely agrees with every single Levidical law mentioned in Genesis, including the verse that promote slavery, bigotry and execution. And if that isn't disturbing. I don't know what is.

I believe in 21st century Christianity, God is all loving and an accepting father. Calling one aspect of love a sin, would be like the government fining anyone who owns an Audi. As long as its love and not lust, God will love you.

And in his word he clearly calls homosexuality an abomination. If christian people aren't supposto stand up proclaiming (in love) Gods word and his law then who is?. --homosexuality is a huge deal spiritually and politically. Spiritually because if were telling people its not our battle then were basicly saying its okay for your life just not mine. Any sin from lying to adultery to homosexuality can't be pushed away someone has to tell them its wrong. The Bible says Christ came to heal the sick and afflicted, if people dont know theyre in sin how are they going to know they need a Savior. And politically because once we okay something that goes against Gods word one time, who are we to say the rest of his word doesn't matter either.

    "That's not our fight" yet the Bible says it's a sin. How is it not our fight if the Bible says it's a sin? It obviously is. Now before you hear what I'm about to say realize that I'm not comparing the actions to one another, but I am comparing the arguments. Would that same argument work for abortion? Would it work for incest? Would it work for rape? If not then why does it work for gay marriage and not for those things? Again I'm not comparing the actions, the actions are not related, but I'm comparing the argument "it's not our fight." It's obvious that the only reason he's saying "it's not our fight" is because his mom is gay. Sexual perversion going on in any form in our country is every Christian citizens fight. You can't separate Christianity from the citizen when it comes time to vote for a candidate, or when it comes time to speak up about sin.

      That's tough. I understand wanting to support those you love and not wanting them to feel distanced from you because your faith doesn't allow an "acceptance" of their life style. The fact is, though, that homosexuality is catagorized as a sin according to the word. If your heart tells you, after genuinely praying about it, that being at the wedding would be counter to the Christ-like approach to the situation then I would encourage you to not go. If the question is about acceptence, I would hope that your family can be as accepting of your convictions as you are of their decisions.

If I was hated as a son my whole life on earth for valiantly and unapologetically exposing such sin and trying to correct it and succeeding just on her death bed and have her as a result spend heaven for eternity with me it would’ve been worth it.

    I can have a sincere relationship with God & walk in His ways & have a gay family memeber, maybe brother or sister....and even though I do not agree with their ways I can still love them & be there for that person. But that doesn't mean that in loving them, I have to condone or be a part of something or activity that I know displeases God. First becuase God is the only one who will always be faithful to you, & we are called as children of God to give Him first place. and by doing so, I will not be compromising my walk or beliefs but instead stay in God's will & grace. People think that being supportive means, oh yeah sure I'll go to that gay club with you, or I'll go to that gay wedding, or sure I'll go with you to that gay parade where I know many of the things that take place are against God & displeasing to God....But instead loving them is sharing God's word with them if they sincerely want to know what God Truely says over many issues homosexuality being one of them.... and if they don't care or are closed to it, that's their desicion & will & if they are open to learning & understanding the things of God & His will for them that's great. But the same way that a person who is gay may chose to not compromise themselves so does a person of faith have the right to not compromise his or her walk & faithfulness with God. And the same goes for all other sins or lifestyle a person may be struggling or dealing with. There are many ways to show somdone you love them, by a simple call hey how are you, how is everything, also being there for them, or advising them.... and there should always be a line of respect regardless the difference of opinions. It doesn't mean I have to compromise my walk with God & be a part of the person's life in all their area of choices or life....

      bob polo I'm saying if Jeff knows God and has the holy Spirit, he will be the scent of death to his mother, so what he is saying about their relationship is not true if he knows god. If god is love, and his mother doesn't have god, she doesn't have love in the true sense of the word. Jesus didn't die because people were partially sinful and had some problems. He died because as it is written, we are entirely slaves to sin. If Jeff is free and his mom is enslaved how further apart at the core could you get? If Jeff has spoken to his mother in all truth from what he really believes, she would either drop everything and follow Christ or she would fall out with Jeff or at the very least Jeff would make sure there was a good amount of distance between them so they didn't fall out. You cannot live a sinful life and be totally happy with someone telling you that your entire way of life is sin and you need to repent. Just Jeffs way of life would be irritating to her, and there would be constant friction if they had any sort of a deep relationship. The spirit divides people.

      Bek C Maybe that's your experience. Some of us believers value the unbelieving friends and family members in our lives because of the opportunity to be a light in their dark world. Not every unbeliever reacts in a negative way to gospel spreaders, especially if you're presenting the word with compassion and respect.
      They definitely reject the word like the bible teaches us but it's important to ask the LORD to work through us in bringing them to faith and repentance. We don't know the exact nature of Jeff and his mom's relationship, so any supposed conclusions are just speculations at this point

  • @marcoramirez313
    @marcoramirez313 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    First off people stop judging, you’ve no right unless you’ve felt with all the sin in your life, secondly yes I don’t agree his mom should be in that marriage because it breaks Gods commandment and should try to get help, third we tel our family and friends in a loving way not condemning way, remember Jesus told the adulteress caught in act that “neither I condemn you, go and sin no more” so I feel the holy spirit inside of me telling me to type this with passion “ If Jesus himself did NOT condemn a woman for adultery, but rather showed her mercy and told her to not partake in this sin no more in the most loving way , since love never fails(it’s in the Bible), what give any of us the right to condemn people. Now yes we must hold each other accountable in a loving way but the second you condemn somebody you should know your not without sin and you’re not dealing with the situation as Jesus would because he was so merciful with grace to the humble ,only to the proud would he give the law and be a little more harsh. My point is this, life is short and hard and many people have suffered from many different things that have happened in their lives. Eternity is seconds away, stay strong in the lord and have his heart for people, when we see people stuck in sin it should break our hearts knowing that they suffer here and that there’s a chance they could die and be away from the lord forever :/. Do you think God wants this no! He will that everyone be saved so we must do what we can out of love and help many in a way Jesus would. I pray we all overcome sin and do all things out of love for God and each other. Peace be with you all and the blood of a Jesus be on every one of us for Eternity.

Is it a sin? yes? is you yelling and taunting and bashing them going to help anything? absolutely not! show the love of Jesus and be kind and loving and god will work on their hearts, you're not going to convince anyone of anything by being angry and hateful, and your only hurting their view of Christianity.

    God loves homosexuals more than a human could ever do. God hates sin, but loves sinners. If even I, as a sinner myself and believer in Christ, If I don't love, support and take care of my fellow homosexuals brothers and sisters, Heaven won't be seen with my eyes. So PRIDE people need to realise that the solution is God, only Him.

      my friend, I have heard that saying before God hates sin but loves the sinner, but unfortunately that is not so according to the word of God and his holiness the psalmist writes in psalms 5:5 For you are not a God who delights in wickedness;
      evil may not dwell with you.
      The boastful shall not stand before your eyes;
      you hate all evildoers. and psalms 11: 4-6 The Lord is in his holy temple;
      the Lord is on his heavenly throne.
      He observes everyone on earth;
      his eyes examine them.
      The Lord examines the righteous,
      but the wicked, those who love violence,
      he hates with a passion.
      On the wicked he will rain
      fiery coals and burning sulfur;
      a scorching wind will be their lot. I hope that this was an equal opportunity for us to learn from one another iron sharpening iron but also remember 2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. This perspective is not one Christians should be taking. Love is more than just accepting someone or showing them affection. Love is based in truth. You cannot be loving if you don’t tell someone the truth. The truth of the matter is homosexuality stands in opposition to God’s design. It is a form of rebellion, and is therefore sinful. There is no compromising on that. How can you possibly say you love someone while nodding and winking at something which will lead them to eternal damnation in hell?
    Now look: I’m not saying that you shouldn’t show compassion and be gentle with people who are struggling with that. God is indeed a God good, and it’s true that He sees more in a person than their homosexuality. But that compassion must be given trying to lead someone to repentance. All it takes is one sin to be separated from God forever. Only one. God is holy and perfect: nothing unclean can be in His presence. That is why Christians have to encourage repentance for homosexuality, as they should do with every other sin. It shouldn’t be judgmental and condemnatory in nature, but there must be exhortation. There must be an urging and encouraging of others in love to turn away from this lifestyle. It’s not pleasing to God.
    As a Christian, I don’t want to see anyone perish in hell. Every person I see is created in the image of God, who is willing to forgive everyone if they come to repentance. Why? Because He WANTS them to have eternal life with Him. That’s why Jesus died on the cross: to redeem us back to Himself. But God is holy, and He can’t accept us if decide to continue in sin. It’s not about being perfect: none of us is. But God gives us the power to overcome. We must all live a lifestyle of repentance, seeking to become more like Christ every day. If we want to be like Christ, we have to tell the truth in love, even if it costs us everything. Why? Because we love people, and want them to know the truth so we all can have eternal life with Jesus in His kingdom.
    By the way, if anyone reading this identifies as a homosexual, please don’t mistake this as being judgmental or me saying there’s no hope. I understand that many homosexuals go through a complexity of emotions. A lot of people are mean to you. A lot of people might call you mean names they shouldn’t say. That isn’t the heart of Christ for you. Jesus loves you very much. He’s not accusing you angrily because you feel a certain way. But, He wants you to repent from it like every other sin. He wants you to say, “Lord, I repent from living a homosexual lifestyle. Help me to overcome this. Deliver me, Lord.” Then, walk with Jesus. Follow Him as His disciple. Let your identity be with Christ rather than with homosexuality. And God will work with you in it if you struggle. Don’t condemn yourself, but in your heart seek to live your life the way He wants you to, because everything He tells us to do is good. Trust Him, and fear not. God is love, indeed. But you must leave that lifestyle behind. Turn from other sins also, and turn to Christ and His redeeming love. ❤️

    Romans 1:21-32
    21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
    22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
    23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
    24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
    25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
    26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
    27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
    28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
    29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
    30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
    31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
    32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

The problem with the likes of you guys is that you all have a lot to lose if you spoke your mind and the truth. Careful not to offend anyone, many have denied Christ - not in actions, but in words. Jesus demonstrated that one is able to love the sinner, but to hate and to speak out against sin. People can disagree without becoming disagreeable.

    EVERYBODY is born into sin. The only thing that separates the "homosexual" lifestyle and the "straight" lifestyle is whether or not YOU CHOOSE to act on those behaviors. First Corinthians 6:9-10 says......... "Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God?" Do not be deceived; "neither idolaters, nor adulterers, nor fornicators, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor the drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers shall inherit the kingdom of God. There are several commands made by God himself as to why this is wrong, so ultimately the CHOICE is yours and whether or not you choose to act on it. Thank God there is forgiveness and he loves us all!

      Good day,
      with ALL humility and respect. Do you believe our behavior has something to do with salvation?
      go to the next verse or 2 - "which were some of you; BUT..."
      BUT tells us there was something different about them. it does NOT say...
      1. BUT ye chose to stop doing these things
      2. BUT ye chose not to do these things as much
      it DOES say....BUT, ye ARE washed, ye ARE sanctified, ye ARE justified in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and by the spirit of our God.
      - this is what was different about them
      - remember this book (Cor) was written to the saved; carnal church at Corinth (3:1)
      - if they were sanctified then they were perfected forever even in their carnal state. Heb 10:14 - He hath perfect forever them that ARE sanctified.
      homosexuality is a sin. I do not live a gay lifestyle. I am married with children. I do not condone it one bit. HOWEVER, to say they wont go to heaven because of it is wrong. The bible tells us a couple of times that salvation is FREE, a gift, so that no man can boast.
      - we cant go to God and say, "See, I deserve to be here because I am not gay like that person" - that's boasting.
      make sense?
      with HUMILITY, I will end with Romans 5:15-20. Salvation is FREE; it is not a contract contingent on better behavior.
      But not as the offence, so also is the FREE GIFT. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the GIFT by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
      16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the GIFT: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the FREE GIFT is of many offences unto justification.
      17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the GIFT of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
      18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the FREE GIFT came upon all men unto justification of life.
      19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be MADE RIGHTEOUS.
      20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
      Salvation is FREE to whosoever will believe/trust in the gospel message.
      Rom 3:24 - being justified FREELY by His grace...
      God Bless,
      ;

    A more clear example of that is if you have a child who's a drug addict, you show them the way, provide them with information, provide them a better path for a better life or outcome, but it doesn't mean that to show that your supportive & loving that your going to give them money knowing that it will be used for consumption of drugs, nor does it mean to be supportive I'm going to sit there and smoke or shoot up with my child.... that's not being supportive or loving.... But if he or she does not want help, there is nothing else to do for them other than to let them be.... it's their decision & life, that doesn't mean tomorrow I'm going to vote in favor of legalizing drugs as a sign of moral support for my son because I love him, or ohhh no now the newest thing is being politically correct .. & it surely doesn't mean I'm going to allow or keep allowing that kind of behavior or lifestyle in my house. Now if my child knocks in.my door cause he hit rock bottom & is asking for Help & wants to walk in a better path, you still embrace & love that person & walk with him till where it's needed... It's the same understanding for all sins & behavior & lifestyle thats displeasing to God. But also many of our issues as human beings if not all have to do with the sincerity in our hearts. sincerity toward God & what we bring before Him or the lack of sincerity.......of our condition or of the state that we may be in & Pride is a huge obstacle between a person & God... And it's easier to deceive ourselves & make up a god that's according to us & a god that fits our purpose & intentions & others go as far as to deceive themselves into believing there is no God in order to justify thier ways....

    Everybody wrongly thinks its 'the gay sin' or 'the gay lifestyle', Romans 1(King James Bible, the only bible) clearly teaches that the reason they are gay, that they even have those kind of effections, is because that when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, so God gave them over to vile effections. They are reprobate, which means rejected. Romans 1 says they hate God. Genesis 19 and Judges 19 are similar stories where God shows us that they are predators.

    I would like to introduce this thought or idea. to me the Bible is saying that the act of gay sex is wrong but being gay is not sinful. so the bible is talking about behavior not what a person is in life. After all looking at anyone with lust is wrong as the the bible says and that would be towards anyone. However, what a gay person should do is be celibate and not have sexual relations. we should as followers of Christ love gay people and treat them as the same as others but just respectfully agree to disagree.

Granted that was in the old testament, but it doesn't make it any less of an abomination or any less of a sin. There are many other sins people don't worry about (or find to be "significant", which is wrong), but with that being said, stealing was a sin in the old testament and it's still considered a sin now. We're washed clean with repentance, feeling remorse, and wanting to turn away from the sins we commit. If we truly accepted Jesus, we wouldn't want to commit sin or sin against him period.

    why are people watering down christs teachings? he said if u are gay u will go to hell no doubt. and god does hate the wicked, we forget that he is just and a holy god and if we just look at his love then we have a one sided god and that is a false god. todays society we see god as loving and forgiving which is true but he never watered anything down he called the pharaseas "broads of vipers" he insulted them and rebuked he wiped people who were changing money and u people say that he would never do these things but he did. god hates the unjust and he says they are fools and so does the apostles, we are taking scripture out of context. i feel jeff is finding excuses for sin, he should pray for his mom and should never respect her for her homosexuality he should rebuke her as christ does and also the apostles were supposed to be like. we can't just say the things peole want to here, we need to rebuke them because we love them, thats why christ did so too, and he was persecuted as christ said we would. SO STOP WORRYING ABOUT OFFENDING PEOPLE, WE USE THAT TO SUPRESS THE TRUTH, GODS LOVE IS FOR THE RIGHTOUS AND FOR THE WICKED IS DEATH AND HELL.

      +Bob Grace But see the thing is though, you will go to hell for being gay but you will also go to hell for every little sin you could possibly commit and trust me there are thousands. UNLESS, you understand what Christ did for you and believe in him. Will sin send you to hell? Absolutely. Does it matter which sin that is? Not even remotely. Each and every sin will send you to hell if you do not accept what Jesus has done for you. It is not about which sin, it is about the fact that we all sin and only Christ can erase that and take away our guilt and shame. Lets stop pointing fingers at specific sins and remember that each of us was born a sinner and can only have victory over that by and through Christ who gets all the credit and all the glory. Is homosexuality wrong? Yes. So are things that each and every person does each and every day. Luckily for us, our God is wayyyy too big to let sin stop him from reaching us.

I'll tell you what, lots of people would never bow down to such an unforgiving, vengeful, hell fire and brimstone God. In fact you needn't look much farther than your local AA meetings, and mental health institutions to see the apparent damage your kind of teaching has done to thousands of people. These are people who struggle daily with God because of people like you. You and your hated laced view has done plenty to not only judge but also mame God's children. Do you think He is really proud of the work you do here?
      When I understood that God never said He needed perfect people to do HIs will - in fact what He said was whosoever will- I began to appreciate the love that He has for me, and the world. He sent Jesus to pay the price for all of us. I believe that it is that love that will bring people to Him. Then He can change them. Did he come to save the righteous? What I read tells me otherwise. He definitely had a view on santimonious people, such as yourself. It didnt seem very promosing. But you carry on with your self righteousness as much as you can stand it.

    Proof that being gay might not be so bad
    No one knows who wrote Leviticus
    It has been translated to "homosexual offender" and "pervert" which are different things ...
    When it was written it was a different time, the bible also says don't lie, kill, cheat, bread different types of animals (like a pug and Shepard for example), not to eat fruit unless it's 4 years old, etc
    We also don't even know if god exists and would even care if gay people love :/
    Marriage came from the native Americans which Christians also done later. In native America they would worship gay people btw, and anyone could get married over a certain age for the reasons of love. Also Christians originally married for land and money not for love.
    I think being gay isn't a choice because I have seen videos of people coming out and saying they begged god to "make them straight" and have been threatened but I believe they were born that way , even science has found something on it called epic marks which is a mutation that causes the holder if that mutations child to be lgtbq ... Confusing right?
    Lel I'd love to hear others opinions on this tho lel :)

      There are verses in the New Testament condemning homosexual activity as well. I don't believe we choose to be gay or straight either, but we do have a choice on whether we act on those feelings. Some people are naturally attracted to animals (I am not saying homosexual activity is the same as bestiality), but God does not want those people to act on their desires either.
      That being said, a Christian should not try to impose his/her beliefs about homosexuality on others. It is not our job to impose Christian morality onto the secular public.

      Riia Luhtanen I believe God speaks to us through the Bible, and so I believe any type of homosexual activity is wrong. That doesn't mean I hate you, or want to force you in any way to live your life differently. I will say, however, that there are gay Christians who simply choose to be perpetually single.

      We can always , all of us, interpret the bible any way we want. Why would you choose something like homosexuality?

      Riia Luhtanen Because the Bible clearly says homosexual activity is wrong. Paul's statements aren't cloaked in allegory or flowery statements. They're pretty plain:
      Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.
      Romans 1:26-27
      Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men.
      1 Corinthians 6:9

    "Lifestyle"? What utter, vile nonsense. He KNOWS how much that word would hurt his mom. I suspect he used it to hurt. Imagine how his mom must feel. So sad, and so predictable from a Driscoll follower.

    Lots of crazy, hateful bigots commenting on here! Oh, but wait....this IS a Christian video! So what else would I expect?

      Charles Stone if it is so hateful for someone to hate an action of yours or your friends, and not hate them personally....then this proves you and/or your friends are enslaved to your particular actions to the point you rely on them for your self worth, happiness and identity....otherwise people saying your action is a sin wouldn't mean anything to you.

      Bek C: you are absolutely right! I rely on my thoughts and actions to give me my self worth! They also give me my moral compass. Where do you get yours from?

      Charles Stone my moral compass comes from God

      My self worth isn't reliant on my actions, so I am free.

      Bek C: A moral compass is developed in one's brain, based on information they receive and observations they make of the world around them and the decisions one makes about the value of that information. Your belief in the existence of gods is part of that decision making process. To say your moral compass 'comes' from God is the result of a thought process that you have decided is valuable. The god that you believe in is a result of that philosophical decision about the value of the claim that gods exist. Your morals certainly do not come from the Old Testament! You make decisions about morality and then ascribe them to your God of choice. I base my morality on the reality I observe, which has no supernatural elements. Nice to chat.

    Jesus didn't come to bring peace Matt 10:34-39
    also he did not come to set us free from the law Matt 5:5 The word of God is what it is its suppose to offensive its funny how people pick and choose scripture to live life to there standards not the way the bible tells us to so man or woman if your gay and don't repent and stay away from the act of homosexuality you don't see heaven
