Hi Donn you had become the quiet man, I love to hear you talk. Love your project, thank you for sharing your amazing story. God bless you and your family
Donn build a sand blaster! Those parts would clean up like new and much easier. I use my sand blaster to clean up everything. It’s a bit persnickety in its running but the out come is much better than by hand or wire brush! OH !!!! I did not realize the air compressor was for a sand blaster!!!! Great work!
Donn very good restoration on the compressor , but i always warn people about wiring , you see the wiring coming out of the motor have to be renew too because the age of the motor , please make sure you pay attention to details take the time it go to be safer for your life and as well when soldering wire together first tide them together by twisting them then soldering and shrinking the plastic sleeves you have put in before this process, Hope you will accept these infos without been upset ,you are a brilliant metal worker , regards Robert in Australia
No it's a terrible idea, you should never restore or diy fix a compressor. If you do it regardless then at the very least store it outside away from any people and inside a blast proof shed or something.
Great build. In the future you could always build two of the wheels on a pivot bar with handle attached to that. Make it easier to steer round corners 😊
Hey Donn, way to go on the restoring of the compressor. That will surly come in handy around the shop and property. Excellent work on the whole job. Keep your eye’s open for a couple casters 😉, it will make getting around easier. Thanks for sharing. Always enjoy your videos.
Great fabrication...... old garden hose, is great for shielding wires.. Your shop is too clean, if I did this, half the tools I own, would be scattered from one end of the shop, to the other. I imagine I'm not alone, in this observation..
It's so simple to go buy a new compressor that's made in China might only last a year or do what you did and restore a piece of Machinery that's top quality that will last you the rest of your life beautiful job
Great Job! Looks and sounds awesome. I bet that will last for a very long time. (The Motor should be Black. ;-) ) Oh, Ya!! That will definitely run a sand blaster!
Great well organised rebuild. One tiny comment, old motor lead out wires cannot be trusted. If you can't get into the motor to replace them then slide sleeving over the old wires as far as they will go. Enjoyed seeing reuse of old machinery... You are well talented...keep doing it !!!
Awesome work 👍🏼 and great job on the video. One suggestion though, you might want to consider wearing long sleeves if you weld much and want to avoid skin cancer.
nice job it looks better than new. I thought you would put a turntable wheels on the front somewhat like a wagon . Cool rework i'm sure it much easier to move.
You really should do a hydraulic pressure test when you reactivate rusty pressure tanks. Incompressible fluids don't scatter parts over the next county if the tank fails.
its 8 bar... its not needed under 10 bar. at this pressure, if a leak ocours itts at the most a pinhole, different story above 30 bar or with steam at even 8 bars or lower pressure, indeed, thats dangerois.

Nice restauration. This is so much better then buying a new one. And in the end you can be proud of what you made! Well done!

Really enjoyed this build. Now you have an adequate compressor...! Nice work 🙂

She cleans up pretty good !
Nice fix , Iam trying to fix one myself ! Thanks TANK
That's a cool rebuild. That green pops against the orange. Damn nice..👍

Well it looks as if you haven't lost your touch doing fabrication work Donn! GOOD SHOW!!!! Can't wait to see the shop in full swing soon!!!!!
Apple llll
Looks like some serious aftercoolers on there !
Great job Donn this will be a awesome new addition to the shop or just the entire HOMESTEAD thumbs up my friend
You are doing great work
Thanks!
@@DonnDIY welcome
Beautiful Baby !
Now drain the air tank every day!
Change the air filter once a month!
Change the oil twice a year!
It will last 20 years
Very good construction, and it's amazing to see 3 phase being used in a DIY video! Nice work
You really have to get a drill press! Great video.
Very good video. Thanks.
hahahahah the hotpocket and tea. Love it. Keep up the grade A quality work my friend. Cheers!
My chest hurt when you painted over the tank. I wish you had used a clear coat and kept the patina... It looked so cool after you cleaned it all up..
Nice to see a three phase compressor, cool color choices as well, fantastic build.
Donn is a Antique Mechanic, I can see now that what ever the Swiss make it runs forever.
Definitely not swiss...that pump is 100% from italy...and the motor looks like an old weg. I dont think there swiss either

Well done , excellent job .
Your a man of many talents. This was an awesome rebuild. Love your videos. When they pop up I have to watch immediately.
You COULD say, that the recommissioned electric motor is a nice example of

green energy.

Nice job, as always!
Now you have to build a proper wood stove with secondary burn for the shop!
And a new chimney.
@@exwldr6945 with a back boiler so as to get a supply of hot water....
Nice resurrection but you should consider putting a swivel castor wheel on the end with handle. Make it much easier to move about. Trust me I know!

I bet you don’t hear “Why are you saving that junk for” too often anymore.
Great save on the compressor.
Using saved up junk. Not deliberately saving up junk anymore though. I have it too much already. 😄
What great question
good job donn well done mate
You made this video fun to watch, may be even better than Andrew Camarata. You get it!
Freaking awesome dude...wish i had your knowledge...ill be following your channel from know on. Congrats on your new (old) compressor.
Keep up the good work and videos.
Outstanding job!

Great job mate, look sweet. Thanks for sharing.
I was getting worried but finally video from DonnDIY!
Amazing final product. It came just PERFECT.

Nice build. 🤪 Now all it needs is castering wheels at the handle end! 😎
Finally some one that cleans stuff before working on it...
Love your work. Very nice.
Very nice, if only we all had 3 phase power. Easier option is to stick with a petrol setup and have good ventilation or have compressor outside.
Here in Europe it's quite common to have 3 phase.👍
Great job! It's awesome!
Awesome restore.
Nice job on the well needed addition to the shop!!
this magnetic switch is very robust and repairable. Didn't see much soviet stuff popup on youtube ))
Yup, using all that old stuff before using anything new.

If you want to save your drill bits, use masonry bits for drilling the steel when you have room to be not exact.

I have seen a compressed air tank like this one fail catastrophically so I am forced to disagree.
Deadly as usual. Hope you do a intro/review on that welder 👍

Amazing .....
man, I haven't seen a ratchet like that in years. Cool channel and love the camera quality.
Лабусы как всегда на высоте
Adding only two wheels and a rubber foot could have reduced the vibrations. Nice Restoration.
