El grosor de la plancha con la que esta hecho el tanque no es tan grande y sólo te permite algunos hilos de rosca. Eso con la presión interior pudiera convertirse en dos proyectiles, pero si le suerdas dos buenas tuercas le da mayor agarre.

Add an another valve at the bottom of cylinder from where sand is coming out, so it will be controlled sand blasting with high pressure velocity sand, 😊
When you have the sand running through a gate valve you must have 100% open or closed no half way otherwise the sand will burn out the valve in a short time !
Your sand flow needs to be reduced, most blasters accomplish this with a valve or orifice to size. The thickness of the tank metal has very few threads I would suggest a threaded weldon bushing so that you could get full thread contact.
Works well. But the metal parts at the business end (nozzle) will wear out quickly. Better off with a ceramic nozzle at the end of the hose with no moving parts. Nice build though apart from that.
That's the problem with not using real grit! Play sand is for playing with; it's not very hard or sharp, so it takes a long time to clean the material! I think it's worth the time to make a box too, so it doesn't make a mess, and you can recycle the grit.

The thing nobody says is that a large air compressor is needed to run "acceptable" a sandblaster. If you dont wanna wait a minut and a half to run 10 sec the sandblaster
Quick question: What is the reason for making air enter the tank at the top AND at the bottom using the tee-fittings? Is that so some of the air from the top fitting pushes the sand out the bottom hole....and then some of the air from the bottom fitting pushes the sand out to the nozzle?
Can you please send a parts list for those used to make this? Since you have done this would you do anything different as far as changing any parts or just anything completely different nat all? Thank you.

Most media blasters no longer use sand, it's considered a nuisance material & considered a health hazard. There is a wide range of other types of media used for whatever the application. Such as soda ash, walnut hulls, pecan hulls, aluminum oxide, titanium, glass beads & plastics.
nah, high humidity tropics mean most of the mediums will be too wet to properly disperse by air pressure. so many other factors involved in different parts of the world.
all material is hazard if you don't use properly. you need PPE special mask and you be fine. doest matter sand or other stuff once you use proper air feed mask

Si uno quiere tener o fabricar una arenadora si o si deves comprar o fabricar este deposito para colocar arena porque no hay otra forma y también importante el compresor no sirve uno chico porque la precion de aire se gasta muy rápido pero cuando logras ajustar todo como la precion de salida de aire y salida de arena todo que funcione continuo sin que se tape puedes hacer maravillas y también ganar dinero ejemplo algún mueble pintado de madera y quieren raspar la pintura ofreces el servicio con arena limpiar piezas de auto yo compre un compresor de 200 litros quería trabajar en arenado pero tuve problemas el compresor era muy grande y generaba mucho ruido cuando arenaba en mi casa quedaba todo sucio con arena

first off, is that a _waterhose_ you are using? second, you are waaaaay pnaumatically under pressure when it pulses like that. While this design will work there is a huge issue with safety and weare based on the components. Use correct tubing, use a tank that is made for _high pressure_, and get the right air to sand mix.
Под баллоном может должен стоять ещё кран подачи песка??? Много песка в смеси из пистолета, так песка ненапасёшься... Расход большой.... Да и разгона для смеси мал...

What is it like when you disconnect the gas cylinder from the compressor?
Works well. But the metal parts at the business end (nozzle) will wear out quickly. Better off with a ceramic nozzle at the end of the hose with no moving parts. Nice build though apart from that.
Right. Also the hose will blow in few time… i use only anti abrasion hoses… EUROCORD SABBIA/HD is the best in the market..
you can use the ceramic stem from a spark plug as a cheap nozzle
You must wear a respirator because of silica dust.
That's the problem with not using real grit! Play sand is for playing with; it's not very hard or sharp, so it takes a long time to clean the material! I think it's worth the time to make a box too, so it doesn't make a mess, and you can recycle the grit.
Recycled grit is like going from 60 grit to 240 grit.

So the sand becomes a liquid
Air at the top will push the sand down towards the bottom outlet. Air at the bottom will mix and give momentum to the sand as it comes out.
