Just ordered one, arriving tomorrow, I think I have watched every video on TH-cam, and you are the only one who actually show the screen of the Tv for more than 15 seconds, nice video!!
One other thing. KDE, Cinnamon, Xfce and Gnome all offer hidpi scaling on Linux that's on par with Windows 10 (I haven't tested Windows 11 yet). I run Linux on my workstation (a HP Z4 G4 I got after watching your video) and tested the hidpi scaling of the desktops above on a 4k monitor and they all worked just as well as Windows. Verifing that hidpi scaling worked on KDE (my desktop of choice) is what led me to looking into using a 4k TV as a monitor. I just wanted to add this in case someone else was interested in using a 4k TV with Linux. Thanks again.
Great vid thanks. I am sold on the LG C2 42 and will use it with my Macbook Pro 14" HDMI at 4k/60Hz for productivity purposes, gaming will be done with my xbox series x on HDMI 2.1, which should be a good experience too.
18:22 A DisplayPort 1.4 to HDMI 2.1 adapter works without problems 120hz RGB 4:4:4 10bit. You need a graphics card that can do DSC video compression. An RTX card and all newer cards can do this. Anything before RTX will not work. you don't even have to try. No RTX no 120hz
I Have the same LG C2 42 inch ,very happy incredible HDR experience no blooming and stuff,, btw the only think i have is with the text clarity, you have maybe any advice thanks
Hi Jorge, great Videos! I'm looking for the mentioned DP to HDMI adapter, which adapter did you buy exactly from amazon? I really like your setup with the second monitor, which HP monitor is that exactly?
Hello! I got this cable: www.amazon.de/Cable-Matters-102101-BLK-Computer-Adapter/dp/B08XFSLWQF/ref=sr_1_6?crid=2VUJVXWG9PI7F&keywords=cable+matters+dp+to+hdmi&qid=1691687590&sprefix=cable+matters+dp+to+hdmi%2Caps%2C83&sr=8-6. The second monitor is the HP Z 24n G2. I am glad that my video could help you. Thanks for watching!
@@JorgeMoralesAv The DP>HDMI adapter arrived yesterday, together with the cable from Ultra HDTV I now also get 4k 120fps from my 1070TI to the LG OLED. I had the choice between the HP Z24u (1920x1200) or the Z24q (2560x1440). I just got the Z24q for a good price and I'm curious to see how it does next to the LG. In the near future hopefully a GTX 3080 with 12GB from the relatives comes to me :)
HP Z24n G2. Is an "old" HP Z Workstation monitor but is 1920x1200 and 75 Hz. So it makes the job pretty well done as a secondary monitor. Thanks for watching!
Hi I have a doubt which brand to buy hdmi 2.1 cable. I'm going to use LG c2 with pc\GPU. Can you tell which one worked perfectly in 4k 120hz, HDR and Double Vison.
Hi. Do you have a solution to that, to use it only a qhd resolution part of the screen like a 27 inch qhd 12hz part in the case of the 42 unch model approximately, and can i moove around in the monitor that screen im actually using for example from the lower left corner to the lower right corner, and dont stay it only in the middle? And can i maybe adjust the res to 3840x1600 resolution 21:9 and pull it down at the button. Is it possible either in lg c2 or samsung qn90b? Thank in advance.

current 750€ in Germany. I have the G1 Oled in 65 inches in the living room. Now I have bought the 42 inch as a monitor. Great technology!
@streamx3m I sit about 80cm away from the monitor. It is a dream! Really the quality is very good. At 800€ you can't go wrong.
Doing this with the new OLED C3 model, only with two vertical monitors - one on each side. Thank you for this video and the insight!
Cool review 👏🏻 what’s that other side monitor and how big is it?

I have exactly same plan. mb pro + xbox sx.
I have this exact setup and absolutely love it. Go for it!
That is a nice combination. I just got my hands on a Macbook Pro 14, I will test it myself over the days. Thanks for watching!

What do you have as your 2nd monitor?
It's a 23.8in monitor for those curious.
Hello Phoenix, it is a HP Z24N from the old Generation of Z monitors
Great review, I just picked up this TV and the heads-ups were really helpful.
I am glad I was helpful, thanks for watching!

Is this TV suitable for color grading?
Yes
Do you got some pixels burned by using oled panel as monitor?
Cool review. I guess this aint gonna work on a mac?
With m2 macbook pro will work. HDMI 2.1 is already implemented and it works. I tríes already with my M2 Pro 14"

What’s Excel like on it?
What about vertical banding? Does yours have any?
Hi, can this work with mac mini m2 and ps5
hey, can u tell me what are you useing for second monitor?

Hello, i am using an HP Z24n. It just fits perfect in verticla mode. Thanks for watching!
@@JorgeMoralesAv ty i order lil bit newer version fits pefect aswell HP Z24n G3
Will that displayport - hdmi adapter also work with rtx 2080 ti gpu? (to get 4k @120hz etc) Or does it need to be the 30xx series or higher?
You need a gpu that Supports HDMI 2.1 natively. It was first implemented on the 30 series.
@@JorgeMoralesAv Ok, thanks for the info!

You answered all the questions I had about using a TV as a monitor. And I'll take your word over Linus's typical babble.
Omg okay we get it you can’t watch the little mermaid Jesus bruh!
Booooring
