Correction: only about 1% have the fire risk.
My 22 4xe has been in the shop for the last 3 weeks getting its HV battery replaced. I hope the replacement battery is ok. My HV battery passed the first recall test but then went tits up out of nowhere one morning. God knows when I'll get it back.
At this point I'd make sure your dealer is aware of this recall. You'd hate to see one of the batteries on the shelf with these part #'s go into your Jeep. Personally I see that as something that could happen.
I am going to unplug it now. I have a 2022 Honda CRV Hybrid and it has had no recalls. I won't be driving it much right now. Glad I did not sell the CRV! I do love my 4xe though and hope the fix is sooner rather than later. My vin isn't coming up, but that does not mean anything.
I'm now seeing they are calling for a fix middle this month.
I bought a 2022 mode grand cherokee 4xe jeep 4 months ago. When I saw this news, I called the main Jeep manufacturer. They were not interested in what we needed to do. I am stating it here. My wife, children and relatives may die in this car.
Tomorrow, I will take both the place I bought it from and the Jeep company to court. And I will file a lawsuit for compensation for causing this incident to happen to us.
For what it's worth there a have been no fire issues when driving.. Keep us updated on what you. plan to do.
I have a 23 Sahara and a 24 Willy’s so far no problems but this stuff makes me nervous. We run on battery most of the time hate the fact we can’t use the battery. Thanks for the info.
Hopefully this is a painless update / fix for us all.
Just purchased a brand new 2024 sahara 4xe. I checked my vin and so far it shows 0 open recalls. I’m wondering if the affected vin’s have been populated into the recall database? I’m a bit concerned since my wife and kids are in it everyday! As of now I have been charging it - should I stop?
Just brought mine in yesterday. Had one software update last summer and two yesterday. Nothing about battery hardware/software was mentioned. Ordered 2023 Sahara 4xe and haven’t had any issues.
Just watch to make sure it doesnt land on the recall notice. :)
Long comment but a huge win from what Jeep is giving me at the bottom.
My Grand Cherokee is impacted. I called and complained, making it to the executive complaint department because of their awful customer service.
Emailed multiple executives to get to the executive care team. They refused a buyback but offered me $250 a day for rental reimbursement and are paying my Jeep payment until the recall is fixed!
Still a brand detractor and moving to Chevy as Jeep customer service was deplorable, to say the least. Would have been a brand promoter if they did the right thing and did an asset swap or buyback, which would cost them less than the offer they gave me.
Silly they want to pay more because, and I quote, they can't sell it to anyone else when there is a recall that can't be fixed, leaving me little hope it'll be fixed soon and even less hope regarding getting a quality product.
To be fair the vehicle is still drivable under the recall, most manufactures would not offer a buy back when a vehicle is recalled. The fact that they offered you $250 a day is actually impressive
I love mine , would buy again. I’ll keep mine charged
I agree. I'd still buy again, all vehicles are subject to recalls.
I received the notice in the app for my GC Summit Reserve 4xe, haven't taken it in for the inspection yet
I'd call to confirm they have the fix first.
@JeepsOnTheRun No parts are available, but my inspection is later this week...
@@JamboneMan I'm not even sure what there would inspect at this time.
@JeepsOnTheRun yeah, nothing, set up an appointment for no reason, I guees I need to standby for info from Jeep.
@@JamboneMan Agreed.
this is my first battery recall ugh. so nervous to take it to the dealership b/c not sure if they will blunder this recall. Is reedman toll in Springfield Pa a good place lol
I can't speak specifically to that dealer. Sorry. I'd confirm they have techs trained on 4xe. I'm very lucky to have a good dealer near me in Chicago burbs.
My Wrangler 4xe was built in July/August 2024. My VIN comes up with 0 recalls listed. I'm hoping that this was something that was addressed in the mid-year update.
This is a new recall, anything previous to this is nor relevant. Unfortunately I do not think the vin's are loaded into the system. I'd continue to check back to see if your vin is really cleared of the recall.
@@JeepsOnTheRun I saw that the recall won't be released to dealers until October 3 and customers won't be notified to Oct 17th. Ugh.
I love my 2022 high altitude 4xe. I am charging as usual.
@@nemeanlion6028 we just have to keep our chin up and keep (Jeep) going ;)
My Summit '23 4xe has had front suspension noises from day 1 going over very light bumps/road height differences. Today I found oil on my floor and went under the car and found under what could be the transmission, an entire pan greased up with a few drops of oil ready to fall down. And as I just finished making an appointment to take the car in, I find out there may now be a fire hazard? You can't make this up.
:(. sorry to hear about your "luck"
Yeah…. I can’t park away from my apartment 😐 this is like the forth recall I’ve had to deal with with my rubicon 4xe 🙄
@@catbeans8087 there's definitely some frustrated people, and understandably so.
I ll just follow the advice, no charge and park outside the house, instead of garage 😞. Houpelly they get the part soon will hate to park outside all winter
Agreed! Hopefully we see a resolution soon.
Can you take legal actions against the manufacture? I call me dealership and they say they ca not fix it now.
You can try - but recalls are not new. I'm not sure you'd get very far with this.
I have a 2024 Rubicon 4xe... Less than 1,000 miles. This is what I am experiencing... Intermittently, I get a red wrench warning with the message "service hybrid electric vehicle system" message with no rhyme or reason as to why. The dealership is at a loss as there are no codes coming up to associate with the warning light. I was told that a software upgrade being released late on 3rd quarter may fix the problem. I opened a case report with Jeep. Does anyone else has this problem?
First off. I'd find a different dealer. This issue can be related to many different sources, but for the dealer to just throw their hands up is insane!
I have a 22 Sahara 4xe, less than 9k miles on it. It’s been at the shop for over 30 days in the last month and a half. I get all sorts of warning lights, ABS, Engine, Service 4wD, got battery replaced and it died again. I’ve had it towed in 3 times already. It’s been a nightmare… have been wanting to get this car my entire life and 7 months in and it’s been nothing but torture. Keep getting the ALL CLEAR! FIXED.. and 2 days later everything starts over again 😭
Mine wasn't effected 2021 Rubicon 4xe
What are you basing this off of?
Carlos' cost cutting strikes again.
I’m gonna run mine normally and if it burns well time for a lawsuit I guess
Just be safe, pay attention to any engine lamps too.
Almost purchased a 4XE on friday. Whew. Glad i didnt.
May I ask, what did you purchase? And what was your reservations last week when you didn't buy?
Honestly, it was the dealership that was the reason why I didn't want to purchase. They had a 2024 Jeep Willy's 4XE in Sarg Green. On the website, the car was posted for $43K. I called about it, came in, and when I got there, they tried to sell it to me at MSRP, which was 64K. Even though jeep, right now, is discounting all 4XEs because they weren't selling. I just didn't like their business practices. And I was debating between this or a Ford Bronco. My husband and I already have a 2023 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon, but it's his. So we were waiting on the prices to get lower before getting me a car. I wanted a 4XE, but after seeing this, I'm pretty sure I'm getting the Bronco.
@@TravelWithNi THanks for responding. I completely understand what you mean by the dealers way of doing business. I wish Jeep would crack down on the crooked dealers!! As of today the 4xe is now also 0% for 72 months.
I would absolutely NOT let this recall stop you from making a purchase. While I understand the concern the risks are low.
Remember NO vehicle is immune from recalls either. Here's what the bronco has up against it..
Bronco Recalls:
24S24
A safety recall for 2021-2024 Bronco Sport SUVs and 2022-2023 Maverick trucks due to a software issue that can cause the vehicle to stall or be unable to restart. This recall affects 456,565 vehicles. Ford dealerships can recalibrate the body control module and power train control modules for free. Owners can also use Ford's mobile service and pick-up and delivery for a fix.
22S77
A recall for 1,226 2021 Bronco vehicles in the U.S. and U.S. Federal Territories due to side crash sensor issues.
23S09
A recall for some 2022-2023 Bronco and Bronco Sport SUVs due to a damaged internal steering gear component. If your vehicle is affected, you should not drive it. Your local dealer will tow your vehicle to the dealership for repair and provide a loaner vehicle free of charge.
24S16
A recall for 2022-2024 Bronco Sport and Escape vehicles due to a cracked fuel injector that may leak fuel and cause an underhood fire. Ford has not issued instructions to stop driving the vehicles under this recall.

Jeep just goes from bad to worse. They got some serious issues
The timing is definitely not ideal on this.
Where did u get that shirt????
I got mine from my Jeep dealer (Ray Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Fox Lake, IL)
@@JeepsOnTheRun thank you!! I’ll check my local if not I’ll try to buy online @ that dealer!! Thanknyou
It's about a year old, styles change. I looked on Jeeps store and didn't see it. Definitely check with your dealer often times they can order :) @@brianheffren2679
