My mother-in-law was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and dementia at 81 and we put her on Burberry three times a day and she became perfectly lucid and has excellent way home now and is no longer diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. It does something to help destroy the plaque in the brain
I have been trying EVERYTHING to drop weight. I am doing IF and OMAD and KETO but nothing at all would make the scale budge. I almost gave up UNTIL I FOUND THIS VIDEO!!! Dr. Berg I cannot tell you how grateful I am for this information. I am taking Vitamin D&K and kelp along with potassium citrate and a great B complex supplement but the PIECE DE RESISTANCE( is that how you write that LOL) is this BERBERINE!! DAMN IT THIS STUFF HAS DONE IN 1 WEEK WHAT I COULD NOT DO IN A COUPLE OF MONTHS even with HIIT no luck dropping weight...I lost 5 lbs in a week since adding this to my host of vitamins and minerals. IF ANYONE IS STUCK AND HOVERING TRY THIS! I am so excited to see what happens next week. I will keep you posted !
My mom developed sepsis from her amputation wound in the hospital. They gave her antibiotics but she was slipping away. After i found that berberine is effective against gram negative bacteria I gave her 3 x 500mg/day and the sepsis was gone within 1 week or so.
I can honestly tell you that Berberine helped drop my glucose reading by 100 points. I still use this to help my glucose. Metformin made my stomach sick and I get extra benefits from the Berberine. Great video, thanks Dr Berg.
Such a simple question people are asking you, you have made a statement and are lazy to answer which brand and how much you took....? Or are you paid by Dr berg for comments....
I am from Holland and I take the most cheapest Berberine I can buy and it helps to lower my bloodsugar without any problem. I take 2 pills everyday . One in the morning with my keto breakfast and one at dinner time. I totally left Metformine.
Been taking berberine for 2 months for my diebeties. Along with keto lo carb diet and intermintent fasting. Was on two 850 mg metformin pills per day. Off of both of them now.Thank you.
@@ginoasci I take 1200 mg of berberine daily along with 1000 mg. Of black seed oil. Both my cardiologist and internists were astounded about the huge drop in cholesterol and triglyceride levels
I am 64 years old and on March 1st of 2021 I went to my doctor for my yearly physical. I was 321 pounds. I found out my AC1 was 6.4 and was told by my doctor to come back in three months and if my AC1 hadn’t improved I would have to be put on some kind of medication. I immediately began Dr. Bergs plan and went on low carb keto lifestyle change. It took over two months to work into the OMED plan. I started having a protein shake between 3:00-4:00pm and then eating my meal around 6:30pm . On June 2nd I had my follow up with my doctor. I have lost 27pounds and my AC1 is now 5.8 !!! I plan to stay on Dr. Bergs plan until I reach my ideal body weight. I am 5’11 so that will probably take me a year to reach my correct weight. Thank you Dr. Berg!
"I plan to stay on Dr. Bergs plan until I reach my ideal body weight." Oh dear, Russell, do you realize that if you "go off" a good solid keto/low carb diet when you REACH your goal weight, your body will just put all that weight back on plus more?! Please stop thinking of this as a "being on a diet" -- it's a LIFESTYLE! And if you go back to your old lifestyle, you'll go back to your old body!!!
I started taking it about 10 days ago and I'm feeling some really good improvements. The anti-inflammation is no joke! Almost cleared up completely, the extremely painful tendonitis in both of my shoulders. And I've had that intense pain for 2 years! It's the perfect compliment to Turmeric!
I’ve been taking 600mg of berberine every day now for about six months. It is indeed a great supplement to take, taken at night it helps me sleep and is very good for infections, probably the only supplement I’ve taken that has a noticeable effect on infections and sinus problems
OMG are you saying it helps with sleeping. I have this stupid problem where I can wake up and have problems getting back to sleep 🥱😔 Is this the only time you take it Thank you 😊
@@tm8747 Hello As berberine works for several problems, I guess you can ! It's anti-inflammatory, so good for prostate, heart, brain, vessels, and anti-viral and anti-sugar.. So why not a small amount if you feel it ? Read the other comments : weight loss, anti-Alzheimer... I guess you only have not to take it in excess, and pause from time to time. I have no link to meds or laboratories.
I have used this BERBERINE and have brought my A1C down from 6 to 5.3 it's over the counter no prescription needed and lost weight, but I was trying to lose weight and this seems to help me accomplish that a little easier.
I can attest to everything he is saying!!! This has made my sugar go way down when It was NOT. I have seen numbers in the 500s, 400s, and a lot of high 300s. I take this with my metformin and glipizide and it goes down to the low 100s... the last two days it was 116. My heart is not palpating anymore. No pain in my feet. I was having weird waves in my brain and they went away. Joints are way better (arthritis in knees and hip). My thinking is way better. And I cant remember what else..lol PLEASE check it out!
@@QuantumOfSolace1 my A1C didn’t go down but I saw a dramatic decrease in my Triglycerides and a big increase in my HDL. That was awesome! I’m still taking it in hopes that maybe I hadn’t been taking it long enough to affect my A1C yet.
The more I listen to Dr. Berg the impressive factor skyrockets. He shares information with a professional ease like no other. (enthusiatic applause) Keep sharing Dr. Berg..more people need to have the knowledge of herbal (food) healing.
Ive been looking into this for sometime for a family member, but when my doc told me I'm pre-diabetic, I decided to try it first, cause I have been having numbing sensation in my hands throughout the day . I could tell something was happening when I first took it cause I felt the numbing intesfy and then go away gradually and this happened a couple times taking it. Also if I take before sleep because I snack sometimes at night I don't have that numbing feeling that feels like the blood isn't flowing right whenni wake up. Well 2 weeks in and better already. The numbing has almost completely gone. I need to stop with the sweets. But its a life saver. Will continue with it and do better with my health. A must try. Get a good brand thats organic
I’m not diabetic, but I wanted to experiment with this supplement out of curiosity. I took 500mg 3x/day, and on the 3rd day I took one in the morning with a carbless breakfast and went hypoglycemic for the first time in my life. It was a terrible feeling, but shows how effective this stuff really is.
@@anonanonymous1970 I doubt it was because of keto, because humans aren’t really meant to eat carbs like grains and flour to begin with. High LDL on keto isn’t a huge problem since your HDL tends to also raise, and you won’t have the inflammation in your arteries from insulin which means your LDL has no reason to bind on the walls of your arteries to bandaid that damage.
@@anonanonymous1970 I completely understand your point and I also try to keep my LDL lower rather than higher. It’s just crazy to think that evolution made a particle (LDL) that’s designed to kill us. Like there has to be a reason we make so much of it compared to HDL and triglycerides.
@@slimbrady6004 Nature did NOT make a killer! LDL is a HEALER, not a killer! But, think of it like snake anti-venom; it CANNOT work if you keep letting a snake bite you! Go read up some Dr. Michael Eades on LDL... Super brilliant!!
You took too much. People who take this just for overall wellness (not for a specific problem), don't need high dosage. I started with only 500mg per day with dinner and added another 500mg with lunch after a few weeks and it is well tolerated, but you must take this stuff with meals. I don;t have any major health problems, so even just 500mg per day would probably be enough.
Aminta Fourcade I take 1 in the morning and 1 at night. You can back off if you need to but that works for me and I have been taking it for months. A life changer for me. I buy Solaray, Advanced Formula Berberine Root Extract (with Oregon grape) from Amazon. Cost is around $19.00 for 60 capsules. It has also helped my low blood sugar.
Thank you Marty for sharing your story..My sweet dear mother, God rest her soul had IBS. ... I wish I would have known Berberine was beneficial for it. She suffered so much at the hand of Allopathic Doctors.. They destroyed her health and used her as a cash cow. I have lost all confidence in these mainline Allopathic doctors, although I do realize there are many good doctors who would like to use natural food derived solutions for disease but sadly, too many are afraid to lose their practices for the heavy arm of the American Medical Associations. Thank you for sharing this information. I am so very happy that you have found Berberine and it helps you. Please keep speaking the truth of what you have shared here you may very well save a life like my mom's. .. Facebook must have an IBS page you could share this with.... speak it and save lives ! God Bless you mightily !
That was my main question: Is it the type of "immune booster" that is safe for lupus? Because many like ashwaganda are generally best steered clear of.
I have PCOS, I quit the pill this year. I take the German Ovasitol they sell here in Europe & Berberine (400mg) twice a day, after meals. This is my second month. Acne has decreased considerably, less hair in the drain & I notice my hair isn't oily at all anymore. Not sure yet if it will help me have regular cycles, but definitely helps me block excess testosterone and my body uses glucose better. So if you've PCOS and you want to stop depending on the pill to keep your PCOS in check, give those two supplements a try. They don't work for everyone, but the do work for MOST women.
Thank you! I haven’t been officially diagnosed with PCOS, but I’ve had thinning hair on my head and facial hair that’s been increasing over the past 5 year. I’m not in the EU, so I can’t get the Ovasitol, but I will get the Berberine
When I had ran low of my Blood Sugar Support pills (from Pure Formulas) I needed a substitute until I could get more. I researched and came across Berberine and saw it helped me even more than the Blood Sugar Support pills. Thanks for confirming!
Datya Israel My Blood Sugar Support pills are supplements, not pharmaceutical. They are actually called “Blood Sugar Support”, the brand is “Vital Nutrients”. Because I was running out of them, I checked for a substitute and saw that Berberine was offered by the same brand and was cheaper on the same website! 😃
@@speaktruth9313 No I did not because I am not overweight and when I found out I was diabetic, one of the side effects was weight loss. That stopped once I ate better and lowered my blood sugar numbers.

I'm on losartan 100 MG for blood pressure, readings are 135-145 over 75-85. I understand berberine lowers blood pressure. Wondering if safe to use both. Any response would be appreciated. Thanks
I had diarrhea for 5 weeks straight with bloating. NOTHING helped or stopped it. Did not lose a pound. Found this vid, ordered it, runs were gone within two days. No joke. Thank you Dr. B!
I’m very thankful I came across this video and listening to Dr. Berg and helping me with taking on pre-diabetes. I was prescribed metformin and switched to this supplement and saw changes instantly with Berberine. Also been doing keto but I’ve seen my A1C go from 8.9 to 5.4 then 5.6 and then another 5.4 and that is a normal A1C. I’m thankful I found this supplement
@mcboy09, thanks for sharing your results which are unbelievable man good for you, I wanted to ask you what brand of berberine did you use what brand name? And what dose? Thanks .
Thank you Dr Berg. I am insulin resistant and was about to ask my Doctor for a script for Metformin. I would much rather take a natural supplement than to risk known negative side effects of Metformin.

Are you serious you listen to borg and your asking g this question I'm diabetic go keto and you will never have to go on metformin no one ever stays on metformin diabetes always gets worse metformin then insulin and always I creasing the dosage go low carb and stay healthy
I'm doing the same thing. Refused to take metformin and found the berberine online. It immediately normalized my blood sugars because I test my blood regularly at home and lab work show improvement and I immediately started to lose weight without try , I've lost 60lbs . My medical doctor was furious with me , she kept telling me I should be on metformin and I told her I won't take it because I found online that it was recalled 2 that year for having to high of an amount of a cancer causing ingredient, so that means there's an allowable amount and I won't take it and my doctor still tried to convince me to take metformin. I said the berberine is working, lab work shows it's working , so I don't need to take it. Then she said you need to take a medicine to protect your kidneys and a med for cholesterol. I told her my cholesterol is good , so I'm not taking it and I'm not taking any medicine until my lab work shows there's a problem or I'm having physical symptoms. My doctor didn't like that , she was unprofessional and I'm still thinking of complaining to the administration. I will changing doctors. I've lost a lot of faith in the medical system.
Was doing a lot of research looking for appetite suppressants and I hear a lot of testimonials from people saying it reduced their diet drastically. To the point they had to stop because they were losing too much weight too fast. Sounded too good to be true to me lol, had to give it a try. Just started today
@@aaliyahsswoop6706 I tried a bunch of stuff and berberine worked the best. I lost a little weight but then I got Covid right after I started and quit all dieting. Honestly, I don’t think berberine (or any supp) does much. But I do feel like it does something barely, and it was the only supp that I felt that way about. If it wasn’t so cheap I might not take it, but since it is cheap I think it’s worth it for placebo affect if nothing else.. To this day, nothing has or will ever work as well as adderall as an appetite suppressant for me. When I take adderall, I can go literally all day and never get hungry once. But adderall is a hardcore drug, and doing it every day is unrealistic for me bc my sleep would suffer badly. Some ppl can do it every day, not me. I imagine it is not healthy to take daily anyway. But I still have my adderall prescription and I will always bust it out every once in a while. Berberine is a good substitute to take in the days I don’t take adderall. Much healthier and more gentle. With adderall though, I lost like 20 lbs in 3 weeks. Radical weight loss, and I’m not a heavy guy with tons to lose (went from 185 to 165 in 3 weeks. My ideal weight is like 145 and I’m 5’8” male). This is with very little exercise, and absolutely exploding with infinite energy every day. But yea, not sustainable. Great as an occasional recreational drug tho, and great to kick-start a diet or maintain it when I start getting cravings.

Just for clarity, don't confuse Tree turmeric with Turmeric (Curcuma longa). These are different plants with different effects. Berberine is found in Tree turmeric and other plants, but not in Turmeric, which contains curcuminoids.
I’m taking Lipo Berberine for something else but a side effect is I’ve stopped limping and have barely any stiffness from my osteoarthritis in my right hip. For me this is working. I take 1x150mg Lipo cap by Renue By Science.
Yep I read an article about it being in cherries. I think sweet fruits naturally have berberine because of the increased insulin sensitivity effects that moderate the fructose insulin response.

@@keylimepie210 The spice in your food was either berbere or barberry/berberis. It is not exactly correct to refer to one type of chemical composition, berberine, to describe a spice. The correct way of saying would have been, “There was berbere or barberry/berberis in the food.” Berberine is a type of salt in plants like barberries, Chinese goldthread, and Californian poppy. Berbere spice for food is made up of chiles, garlic, fenugreek and a handful of warm spices, such as allspice and cinnamon. Barberry or berberis which is a type of fruit is also a spice. My doctor put me on metoprolo for blood pressure and I have a-fib as well. My heart rate dropped to 30bpm. Not good since the brain is deprived of oxygen. Looked up natural blood pressure meds and aged garlic and Berberine popped up. Ordered both and looking forward to reaping the benefits. It appears berberine has multiple benefits and I appreciate this informative video.
I had cancer. (I hope past tense). In the past year, I went vegan, intermittent fasting 18:6, do prolonged fasts of 48-72 hours 1-2 times a month. I had four rounds of chemo (refused to do more), surgery, and no post radiation. I take Berberine 3X a day, 500 mg, for a total of 1500. I also take liposomal cur cumin, vitamin D3. Was exercising everyday, but I have metatarsal, so can't walk as much. My tests so far have come back clear. MRI and CAT-scan, clear. However, my WBC, white blood cells, have tanked for the first time to 2300. This has never happened before and the only thing that I've done differently in the past month and a half is not long fast. But, I googled the effects of berberine on the immune system and there are a few findings that Berberine reduces white blood cell counts. It does help with the blood sugar, but, how can Berberine help the immune system if it reduces white blood cells? I'm not taking berberine until I get the results of my next blood tests.
Did you do fasting after the cancer or before? Some people do 5 days fasting 3 to 4 times a year for cancer preventive. Heard extended fast 14 to 21 days helps when you have cancer. Good luck. I wish you well.

It activates AMPK and suppresses MTOR. In laymans terms it's great for longetivity but you don't want to take it when doing intense exercise or weight lifting as it will interfere with muscle synthesis/building. @healthyfixes6357...l also have a fatty liver issue (stage 3 scarring) so your testimony is encouraging, but I have also read other comments that berberine can damage the liver, so now I am confused and afraid to start it.
There was a recent study that I just read about where a trial in a group of people (sorry, I don't have the details, but I'm sure you can find it, it's here on TH-cam) were given 500 mg of Berberine HCL for 16 weeks and it reduce arterial plaque in the carotid arteries by 3.5% (average). That's a short-term trial, but if that's repeatable and sustainable it's a game changer at least for carotid arterial sclerosis, and if similar efficacy is found in coronary and other arteries it could be even more groundbreaking. One of the best things about this study is that the metric used for determining efficacy is hard-data; completely measurable rather than based on conclusions drawn from indirect metrics.
I went looking for an alternative to metformin. I've read some of the research and am grateful to Dr Berg for this video. I'm also going to back to fasting once a week. The metformin the dr gave me is just going to sit on the counter to remind me no more sugar!
Don't get me wrong....I really do like Dr Berg , I have subscribed to the channel and over the years I've learnt so much and his advice and recommendations have been very useful to myself and those who I have recommended him to... I would just like to say as a reminder to everyone, please bear in mind that with every recommendation, it is always advisable that you do your own research in order to find out if what is being recommended is right for you and your own personal circumstances... For example, some precautions are advisable for those who are pregnant and/or some herbs/medications may cause adverse effects and can make your condition worse, ( and in some cases be fatal)... With Berberine it has been known to cause malabsorption of other vitamins and minerals along with causing gastrointestinal side effects, including diarrhea, constipation, flatulence, and stomach pain. So again, as I said, please always do further/ more in depth research as to what is right for you and maybe seek further advice.
Once again we need dosages and times. I will share that I've read 500mg twice a day, but I still haven't found when to take, morning, night, before or between meals. I've been taking for years for blood sugar control (with banaba leaf). Very effective, I did not know these other factors.
Dr Eric doesn’t go into all of the dosing, he’s just here to tell us about it. He’s not looking to be sued because someone had bad side effects, always says talk to your doctor
Excellent message :-) I've been supplementing with Berberine for years. It really helped me reverse my T2 Diabetes... Gotta get more. I just ran out... Thanks for the video :-)
I started taking this in hopes it would help my hypoglycemia. The first two days, it gave me diarrhea. Then it changed to constipation and hasn't stopped. Been taking it for 12 days now, so it's been 10 days since the last tootsie roll. I take 600mg in the morning, and 600mg at night. It makes me extremely tired which sucks during the day, but helps a ton at night!. Oddly, It makes me crave sugar. But I have less of an appetite for normal foods. So I eat less normal foods, but eat more sugary foods. I haven't gotten any hypoglycemia yet though which is strange because I'm eating more sugar. So it's really a weird one to determine if I should keep taking it. It has good and bad effects. If I could fight the sugar cravings, and find something for the constipation, than it would be great!
@@profounddamas I only managed to stay on it about 10 days its hard to take. I'm sure that if it were easier to take it would work. Ive cut out sugar now and that's made a big difference and am trying a few meds. It's a hard thing to live with this diabetes. I wish you all well 🙏
Berberry is extremely common in all sorts of dishes we make in Iran. If you ever have visited a Persian restaurant, you’d know it by now. Wow! I have been taking Berberine for awhile now for my high Blood Sugar, because I heard about from Dr Joseph Mercola. But my BP is still a little bit high. I did not know it has so much other health benefits. Thanks Dr Berg.
I had high BP and saw several doctors about it, none of them could tell me whats causing it or recommend anything but pills. I started taking niacin flush, l-arginine, learned about nitric oxide and started paying attention to my breathing to make sure that my breathing is shallow (I recently realized how quick and shallow my breathing has been over the past years). Now, about 6 weeks later my BP is in 130s/80s vs being in 150s/100. I also did a liver and gallbladder flush and that always brings my bp down too, plus my digestive system feels much better after it.
@@PrimitiveFilmGroup I probably saw that too but unfortunately that didn't work for me. I've been taking D3+K2 for last several years. I haven't noticed any benefits when it comes to BP but my gums and teeth look and feel better, and my calcium score on CAC test is zero.

Berberine looks same as our local (@Greece) κρανιά (Cornus Mas) which a very underrated tree. My grandfather used to make a liquor with it. Another one local tree, seaberry (hippophae rhamnoides) @greek "ιπποφαές" have also similar properties.

Hi Dr. Berg! I know this video is 2 years old. So with all the information that you learned after this video was made. What would be the recommended dose of berberine on a daily basis? You're the best Doctor, thanks for helping people!!
I'd start with 500mg 1x daily with dinner. If that is well tolerated after a couple weeks, then add another 500mg with breakfast. Then I would have blood work done to verify the affects. Truth is, even just 500mg 1x per day is enough for many people, especially if you're just taking it for overall wellness and not for a specific health problem.
Hi there! Dr. Berg might recommend a type of supplement but does not get into specifics- you'll have to do this research yourself. Dr. Berg's Support Team.
I tried taking this supp and got violently ill. Like vomiting until I had nothing left in my stomach. And super super bad nausea. After I felt better I tried again and got super sick again. I’m 43 and have vomited only a few times in my life (all during my 3 pregnancies). So for the record I do not have a weak stomach.. I really want to take this supplement. How do I know if it’s a real allergy/sensitivity or just was a fluke? Is there a certain group of people that have this issue by chance ? A naturopath told me she’s only seen this reaction in a small percentage of people (myself and one other patient). Please help!! I really want to love and take this product.
Could be die off that you are experiencing. If you have pathogens etc that are dying after you take the burberine then they could be releasing toxins as they are dying that's causing you to vomit. Just a theory.

Dr. Berg, this supplement made me terribly ill. I fainted due to low blood sugar and vomited until I passed out. Ive never taken something so dangerous. My blood preassure was extremely low after taking. Viewers be careful, please.
I take berberine after meals and sometimes I drink coffee with it. I think the coffee speeds up the effects of it because I notice that when my glucose is high it takes a while for berberine to kick in until I drink coffee. Berberine drops my sugar by atleast 50 points. It does a great job. Little to No side effects compared to metformin. I also have great levels of energy that is sustained. I also read that berberine helps promote fat loss which I noticed it’s true I’ve been losing about 2-3 pounds a month extra since I started berberine.
I started taking the Berberine two weeks ago after watching this video. You did not mention the side affects of taking Berberine in this video. It gave me terrible gastrointestinal activity and a lot of gas. A video I watched recently recommended dihydroberberine to bypass the side affects. What do you think?
Yes, it seems to be better in every way & no side effects. Dr Berg doesn’t address it for some reason & I like to get his opinion because I trust him. Dihydroberberine seems to be preferred by most people.
Dr Bergs I love this special Vedio on berberine but can one take it with blood pressure medication. Please can you discuss about Berberine and blood pressure pressure medication. Thanks for all you are putting out there for the humanity. Blessings to you and families

Dr.Berg, I ask my doctor about berberine. Her response was there's no natural way to cure diabetes. Her quick attack and tone were enough for me to make up my mind to go natural with (berberine) continue with IF and a low keto crab diet. I'm so glad I discovered your channel, Dr. Berg. Thank you. Well, I order Berberine after getting the results from a highly recommended company. My question is what should be the dosage to take and should I continue taking Benfotiamine?
Maybe also make up your mind to drop your conventional doc who's hopelessly out of date...it's well known diabetes can be reversed with adhering to the right diet and lifestyle changes.
I am a doctor ( pathologist) and i prefer nutrigenomics.... I agree the big pharma has been always greedy , wrecking the health of the world n true knowledge of medicine.
One of the reasons Doctors dont believe in natural cures is the fact that almost no one actually takes responsibility for their own health despite the all the talk. If you take 100% control of your diet without cheating and also vigorously exercise regularly your easily 1 out of 1000.
My mother-in-law was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and dementia at 81 and we put her on Burberry three times a day and she became perfectly lucid and has excellent way home now and is no longer diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. It does something to help destroy the plaque in the brain

Oh dear, Russell, do you realize that if you "go off" a good solid keto/low carb diet when you REACH your goal weight, your body will just put all that weight back on plus more?!

I just went by directions on bottle and took two tablespoons of vinegar in water a day.
Were you doing keto and IF in the meantime? Or just used BERBERINE to decrease your A1C level?
I can attest to everything he is saying!!! This has made my sugar go way down when It was NOT. I have seen numbers in the 500s, 400s, and a lot of high 300s. I take this with my metformin and glipizide and it goes down to the low 100s... the last two days it was 116. My heart is not palpating anymore. No pain in my feet.

@@anonanonymous1970 How did you feel? I was barely able to walk, and my blood pressure spiked.
If you keep eating CARBS that can 'score' (cut/slice/damage) the lining of your blood vessels -- and the teeny brave little LDL comes to HELP; but it sometimes/often gets pulled in THROUGH the cut where it should NOT be... there it starts your plaque!

@Taiwo I really do not know if it is the same as barberries. I only know of it as a supplement I am not clear on its variations.

Can long-term metformin use cause kidney damage? Metformin does not cause kidney damage. The kidneys process and clear the drug out of your system via urine. If your kidneys are not functioning properly, metformin can build up in your system and cause a condition called lactic acidosis. But not kidney disease!”

I started taking Berberine and alpha Lipoic acid my sugars were so good my doctor took me off of Metformin. that was about four years ago and my sugars test our just fine. every time the Dr.. tests them. I periodically take Berberine and Alpha Lipoic acid just to keep it in my system.
That's great!!
How's it going
@@Vetriyas So far so good.
My blood sugar was spiking last week and now I feel great!
Wow, that's scary. Hope you're doing okay and that your heart is better.
How are u doing
Berberine is in his blood sugar support supplement. I use it. It also has Benfotamine. Really good stuff!
The best! I've been in medical for 30 years and I had extremely poor health until I found Dr. Berg, DC! Blessings!
He´s a true LEGEND . . .
@@perspectivekay2878 I started fasting during chemotherapy treatments. 72 hours surrounding the infusion. Since, I have been IF fasting at least 5-6 days a week, and every other week, 48-72 hour fast. My glucose tanks too low to go pas t72 hours. I am totally vegan. Very little processed foods, select few fruits. Low fat with only avocados, nuts and olives as my fat source.
Look into pectasol. Thank me later.
take a look chris beat cancer web and group
What cancer did you have?. Did you have any side effects from taking Berberine?
It activates AMPK and suppresses MTOR. In laymans terms it's great for longetivity but you don't want to take it when doing intense exercise or weight lifting as it will interfere with muscle synthesis/building. So take it on rest days, ideally 24 hours before exercising. Also I believe dosage is 1 gram.
I hope everyone knows what all that is

How
There was a recent study that I just read about where a trial in a group of people (sorry, I don't have the details, but I'm sure you can find it, it's here on TH-cam) were given 500 mg of Berberine HCL for 16 weeks and it reduce arterial plaque in the carotid arteries by 3.5% (average).

@@j-uk2189 really?
Terrible tummy aches and constipation after 1 week of Berberine. Took me 2 weeks to get my digestion back to normal
Your my doctor. Thanks for your help. I watch your stellar presentations over and over.
Very glad to be of help.
I can't believe how long I've been following this stuff and have not heard of berberine before.
Unfortunately, doctors know nothing about nutrition
Have been using both berberine (no side effect as I had with metformim) and curcumin. Never better.

How's it going
Hi Dr Berg you and Dr Jamnadas are a God sent, thank God for the both of you.
Wow. Why am I just now hearing about this?!
You’re late man. It’s really good

Berberry is extremely common in all sorts of dishes we make in Iran. If you ever have visited a Persian restaurant, you’d know it by now. Our classic famous dish zereshk polo which is extremely delicious is made w it. We use turmeric in every single dish and garlic and berberry and sumac in almost every other. Plus Persian advieh is seperately added to most dishes which is made of cardomom, cinnamon, cumin, nutmeg, cloves.
Lmao
berberry? barberry or berberine?

Wow! I have been taking Berberine for awhile now for my high Blood Sugar, because I heard about from Dr Joseph Mercola. But my BP is still a little bit high. I did not know it has so much other health benefits. Thanks Dr Berg.
increase potassium, Nani. Research unopposed sodium

I started taking berberine before bed and I take a cinnamon that has chromium. I haven't seen any changes yet, but I'm not giving up. I haven't had any side effects.
How's it going
Hi Dr. Berg! I know this video is 2 years old. So with all the information that you learned after this video was made. What would be the recommended dose of berberine on a daily basis?
You're the best Doctor, thanks for helping people!!
Just follow the directions on the bottle . If I eat a meal that has a lot of carbs I take an extra one.

Berberine helped me lose weight but walking & watching how long in between eating is a good combo. Walking a little bit a fay is helpful too.

She wants to deal you her drugs and is threatened by natural alternatives.
I am a doctor ( pathologist) and i prefer nutrigenomics.... I agree the big pharma has been always greedy , wrecking the health of the world n true knowledge of medicine.
Hi Mary, what brand of Berberine did you buy? thanks
One of the reasons Doctors dont believe in natural cures is the fact that almost no one actually takes responsibility for their own health despite the all the talk. If you take 100% control of your diet without cheating and also vigorously exercise regularly your easily 1 out of 1000.
