Unfortunately TH-cam decided to place a copyright infringement on the song I originally used (which I got from Soundstripe) in the intro which is why the current one does not match the video on the intro. Sorry.
I do not understand how they are so on top of this but allow stolen content such as from from sources such as ESPN etc... to be broadcast on a wide variety of TH-cam channels. These channels have nothing but content taken from other sources and it is monetized with ads. Sometimes they make the video crooked as if that really changes reality.
Excellent video, thanks for doing the comparison. I would go for the Volvo S60 as well, especially since it can now be configured with the Polestar Tune, making it even peppier.
Last week on a trip got a Volvo S60 B5 and I was extremely surprised. First I didn't know what a beautiful car it is, and it was plenty fun and quick to drive. I was in Texas where they drive pretty fast and had no problem at all. I would probably choose one over comparable Mercedes or BMW. Another thing in my office there are plenty on Bimmers and Mercedes so some uniqueness is a plus, at least for me. Thank you for the review.
Mercedes needs to stick with physical buttons for essential tasks like heating and air and a nob for volume and mute. That would have done it for me. Toyota figured that out a few years ago. I dont like to have to wait for the computer to start up before i can change the heating or air. And try to find the mute or lower the volume when at the drive thru. That's just ridiculous. That goes for any vehicle.
The previous generation Mercedes interiors were perfect! The cars from about 2017-2021 had the perfect amount of physical controls and touchscreen controls. But they just had to integrate everything into a touchscreen for the new generation cars & SUVs.
We don’t use voice in my wife’s gle 450. I find the Mercedes screen frustrating to use. I too would prefer buttons for heat and a/c. I think the Volvo has more style just wish they offered 6cyl. To me the Benz is boring. Take off the badge and what is it?
Sadly, a 6-cylinder engine seems to be completely off the table for Volvo. Pretty soon, the turbo 4 will also be gone as they shift to be a full EV company.
Your observation [cons of the W206] is correct. I hate the interior designs of the W206 so much that I've bought a brand new S205 this January as I said to myself that this was the last chance to get a great car. My S205's physical buttons (except those two on the steering wheel) served me well. The W205's high percentage aluminum body (W206 has steel doors) is much superior than that of the W206. My S205 C300 4Matic only weights 1670kgs!
@@MGReviewsBlog have the 2020 t6 super/turbo 4 ; just drove the new b5 several times, and between that and the rather 180 in dealership personality ... opting out of volvo for the first time in the last 4 vehicles. they're getting a 20, and a 21 back, and we're now looking at other options. not a fan of the transmission, new infotainment, or the android integration that they changed to. don't like the steering wheel as much either
Nice review and agree - I would not use voice commands either. Big question for me on the S60 - does it come with ventilated seats? If not, then a Lexus IS 300 on my list.
I have owned a Volvo XC90 for 7 years. I love it. Very comfortable. However, I also owned an AMG C43 Cabriolet. I loved that one as well, but because of it's performance. It was so much fun. I sold it back to Mercedes for an awesome price during the supply shortage. The Volvo is getting on in age and I don't need the size anymore. So, I'm looking for something new to replace it within the next year or so. *Sadly, you're not going to be happy with the next generation of Volvo or Polestar*. Capacitive touch and screens are the future. Also, they are going all electric, which simply doesn't work yet where I live and my lifestyle. At best, I can only do a hybrid. So, I'm seriously thinking of replacing the XC90 with the next generation GLC43, and try to get the best of both worlds: a comfortable SUV with the performance of an AMG. Let's see if that pans out. Looking forward to your review of that when it comes out next year.
Mercedes must have changed designers cause they made improvements but didn't get the memo about how no one wants everything integrated in the touchscreen menu. Please learn from toyota. It was almost perfect
On the C300, I think the vents stand out too much. LOL everything else is so beautiful and smooth looking. I 'd much prefer regular shaped vents. It's difficult to choose between these two. How about include the Audi A4 in the mix? LOL
I like Volvo a lot, really I do (we have XC60). However, apart from the brake pedal, everything else is more luxury and comfortable in new S206. Oh, and I use quite a few voice commands, 20-ish or so can be used directly without "Hey Mercedes" phrase, while for others, just press button on the steering wheel and agan avoid using dorky "Hey Mercedes". List of the useful commands are extensive for me personally, from navigation and phone calls, all the way to display engine info or climate control, and all that without taking hands of wheel and looking down on control buttons the way you seem to do.
@@matthewesposito5177nothing cheap and creaky on mine. In fact, I have never had a car as quiet, and others keep commenting that as they get a ride with me almost every time.
The front of the Volvo looks OK, the back design is lacking. Everyone talks to Siri now to control everything, the new voice control is new technology and it is safer because you do not have to look down to locate knobs. I'm sure there were people back in the day that was complaining about the car companies removing the start-up hand cranks for the model T.
I don’t like voice control and it’s far more distracting to swipe around the screen. For most people after a short while muscle memory takes over and you don’t have to look at knobs when changing settings.

This channel deserves more attention.
Thank you! I'm trying to get more people's eyeballs on it.
S60 for me
S60 for me! (Very happy owner of a MY20 Inscription) 😊
what a great video, thanks for this. I purchased the s60
Thanks for watching! How do you like the S60 so far?

Just bought an S60 with the Polestar tune, can’t wait to pick it up.

Damn bro, I just met you today, I like how you explain things, its so calm and welcoming.
Just subbed by the way❤
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed my style of videos.
What trim and color for the S60?
It is the R-design in Thunder Grey

Great video. Based on the review, I would opt for Volvo. I have owned several and they are sold cars.
Out of curiosity, have you owned one since they switched over to the 2.0L turbo engine for all of their models? (T5, T6, T8)

It looks like you'll have to go with the Lexus. It doesn't look like the 2023 S60 has ventilated seats.
Ventilated seats are available and included if you go for Nappa leather, as well as massaging seats
Volvo S60 for sure

I'd love to get behind the wheel of the new GLC43 but I just hope Mercedes didn't mess up the brake pedal like how they did with this C300.

I would've added in the A4 as well into this review but Audi doesn't have a press fleet and I don't have any contacts at Audi dealerships :(
S60 is so much nicer then the Benz and costs less too
C300 is 25K more expensive than a S60 B5 in Australia.
Yikes!! Another case for the Volvo....
I have both the cars which you have
Nice! Which one do you find yourself driving more often?
Side by side, the Benz looks cartoonish.

Volvo.
Volvo is more quiet than Mercedes when driving?
It was a nice joke.
Try them both & find out for yourself.
