I have the Giulia Veloce (Ti Sport here in the States) and it is absolutely brilliant. Then again I'm maybe the only person who doesn't give a shit whether the infotainment screen is touchscreen or not. The system works just fine, the car feels solid and it is a sublime machine to drive. Blows away the others in driving dynamics. I always laugh about the whole "interior plastics" as if you're going to constantly rub the bottom of the middle compartment every time you get into the vehicle. Besides, the interior design is brilliant and sleek without that stupid "iPad glued to dash" design that some other cars have which incidentally looks cheap as hell. The only issue I have is that you can't disable traction control for some good ol' fashioned drifting fun. The car's chassis and weight balance is incredibly brilliant so it's damn near impossible to get sustained wheel spin on a sharp turn (also thanks to the AWD system). And, yes, my Giulia is red.
Paul V I perfectly undestand you, FCA made an Amazing job on this car. The chassis is absolutely perfect like no any other car. Comfort is sublime. Audi and BMW are really nice, but drive a Giulia and you never go back.
I have some friends who bought Alfas, after clutches that lasted 50k miles and 2 blown engines at 50k miles they have all moved to BMW, says it all really
I agree with you. As Jeremy Clarcson said:" Comparing Alfa to Audi is like comparing bouqet of flowers to concrete" :) Of course it`s a matter of taste.
@@Duke75524 Any VAG car is basically a box with four wheels, even Audi. People who buy them are usually boring and see cars as simple tools to get from A to B. An Alfa is an automobile.
Jaguar XE. I've had two, the first series which was a great car, and the second series which is a stunner. Perplexingly overlooked here. Beautiful to look at and a really sharp drive. No reliability concerns unlike the Audi A5 we had before which had a series of mechanical issues. Motoring journalists tend to mark the Jaguar down for not having much room in the back seat. It's a sports sedan, ffs!
100% go heart. There are no 'brain' choices in this lineup. If you want to go brain/wallet, you'd buy a Camry Hybrid and replace it in 20 years after a life of flawless service. I own a 430i GC btw, and I'm very happy with it but facts are facts.
I bought my first Alfa Ever about 5 months ago. It's a 2018 Giulia TI Sport. I just hit 5k miles and have absolutely no regrets. The car is a blast to drive, but also quite practical. They also aren't super common, so it really makes it stand out! In my first few weeks of owning it I already had a few people stop and ask "Yo what kinda car is that!?". Brings a smile to my face every time.
@@henrickhansel I prefer Audi stays like that. Not everyone wants screen on their dash full time especially at night, the light from the dash can be tiring & annoying. Don't forget that there will come a time when the infotainment system become outdated, so it would be better to have the option to have them out of sight and use our phone instead. Especially that now you already have a full digital clustermeter anyway, to have one less screen would be a plus for me.
Take the Aston DB9 for example. Their infotainment system was embarassingly bad in the first place, it was a blessing to have the ability to not have them on display.
I am on my second Alpha Romero Gillia Veloce. I absolutely love this car, and there are some great mods you can do with performance. I also have a nice Chevy Tahoe for certain utility, like hauling, but my alpha is true driving experience. Who cares about trunk space in a super sweet sports car? Also, it’s pretty darn cool when people asked what you’re driving and you say, an “Alpha Romero“ BMW, Mercedes, and Audi are everywhere. It’s not often you see an alpha! Alpha Romero hands-down!

Volvo - Comfortable, reliable, sensible, and elegant Mercedes - Elegant, high-class, luxurious Audi - Subtle, high-tech Alfa - Italian flair, sporty, exquisite BMW - Some-what sporty, good all rounder
Why Alfa Romeo is the winner for me? Because Alfa Romeo Giulia was produced 3 years ago...and that was to old to compete with another 4 new model. But she still can manage at top 3!
The S60 is by far the the best looking car. I've seen an R-Design in grey the other day and it really stood out next to the German rivals. Don't really get the hate from carwow. Also it feels more exclusive and special compared to the rest as you don't see one around every corner, unlike the BMW, Audi and Mercedes.
@@FastTeam11 They had for some reason R-design verison, which you clearly don't have to get. Get V60, throw air suspension and hybrid engine there and you've got a really good car.

Regarding the Giulia, I have driven 3 of them, bought one.... and I really really can not hear any windnoise.... Alsow about the 'flimsy boot' yeah I can not agree the only flimsy thing is the numberplate holder. .... However having to wait for some electrical system to close it is way more annoying to me than the number plate plastic ... And there Is really no need to hammer it closed like he did.... If you do that to any door in any car while the driver or owner is inside he would probably be a little pissed.....

I hate those bolted on screens, they look out of place and cheap aftermarket. They also look like they take away from visability. Looking at you Audi and Mercedes.
I don't know about the A4, but in the Audi S3 you can push a button that sends the screen down in to the dashboard. Quite useful if you feel it's in the way.
The Mercedes one is really bad I can't stand it the other pet hate in a lot of cars for me is piano black plastic it looks glorious but you are forever cleaning it and as it ages it scratches and looks horrible. I much prefer the screen to be intergrated into the centre console.
I agree with plagues comment on the Audi's you can make it disappear into the dash if you want. Also, when you do use it, at least in the size that's in the Audi A3 oh, it doesn't really interfere with vision and it gives you an easier heads up view of some information.
Since they are all newer versions specially bmw which is 3 years later than giulia veloce.. And the upgraded giulia interior will be coming up in september much more luxury and a touch screen.. 3 years older.. I think ( sure) that the alfa is the best here.. She is undisputed 🖤

overall on paper the best one is the BMW by far, but I would pick the Alfa QV over a M3 or C63 for sure if we were comparing top spec cars. Ferrari engine with 500+bhp and a Alfa badge nothing beats that.
Exactly. The 3-series is the benchmark in this class and has nearly always been. Typing this from inside the G20 320d xDrive Launch Edition and well... It is such a nice place to spend my days working and driving.
I drove all of the cars, besides the new A4, at work and the BMW really is the best car in this class. There‘s a reason they call it the ultimate driving machine.
I have to agree i test drove alot if these cars before settling on the 2019 330i xdrive bc it was by far the best overall vechile . its not perfect but its an amazing daily driver
That BMW 3 is extremely good looking (can't believe I am saying this for a 3 series... But it is!) & fun to drive especially 330i but I would seriously consider the S60 & Guilia as my other options. Problem with BMW is that you pay for options which are usually standard in Volvos and Alfas and you don't get your money back
One thing about the Alfa is how the screen is integrated with the car. I hate the new trend of just putting a screen in the middle of the dash and call it a day.

@@evtimstefanov5441 Try to get a Facelift, they improved the quality of the materials a lot and you already get the B model engines, which have massive improved acoustics and do not have a lot of troubles in general compared to a N47 for example. I have got a pre Facelift 320d xdrive (a pretty late production date, so I do not have troubles with my engine so far) and for me as a car guy, the engine noice is killing me and the wind noice is pretty high aswell aspecial (jeah obiously the noice increases at high speeds) while driving at above 130km/h on german autobahn. In general, if you get a diesel, try to get the 330d, the inline 6 are really great engines and fit the car perfectly, during a safety training I had the chance to drive a F30 330d on track and it´s a perfect car, probably not too much power for a track but on road it is great fun.

Alfa Romeo Gulia is here. Whatever it's competition might be the Gulia is the best if you enjoy driving (where these midsize sporty sedans are meant for anyway: casual practical cars to enjoy driving)

Was it in the same price range as these? It probably wouldn’t be in the video if it didn’t match the price of the others.

ALFA IS BRAIN AND HEART 😉

Yea....its seems like an aftertought.
True. The Mercedes is even worse. And the interior panels on the C are cheap and they squeak. Horrible.
