Mike,, you’re the best influencer. I sure appreciate your videos and your love of the lightning. I love it just as much and it just tickles me and I can’t believe I’m so so fortunate that we can buy such a beautiful truck. My partner has the mock as his daily driverand has a bronco for the weekend
Thank you so much for your kind words. This comment looks very similar to the two others, so I’m guessing you accidentally hit send a few times. I don’t mind at all though since it’s a nice comment. I’ve gotten so many negative ones I’ll take a nice one on repeat all day long :-)
Thanks for watching, yeah that’s where I bought mine too, that’s awesome! I haven’t done a video yet about my purchasing experience, but how was yours?
@@F150LightningMike it was pretty good, lots of incentives on 23s, coming from a tesla, x-plan. I went in just wanting to see the interior, but they got me. The lack of a heat pump was a concern, but that -9 in Monument video made me feel better.
I’m glad it helped you. Just curious: did you get a ER or SR battery? Yeah there is a loss of range, but it’s really not that bad. With my ER I get about 330-350 miles range driving around town in the summer, and it’s about 275-290 in the winter. So you can expect a 10-15% decrease in range. But I also have a heated garage so I think that helps the batteries. However, to me it is soooo much cheaper for electricity than gas. On another note: I just hit a deer on I25. So I’m working on that video now. You can look at my X or Facebook page to see what happened in the meantime if you are curious. They are not going to total it, it’s only about 7-10k worth of damage, but my point for bringing it up is that I had decided that if they did total it I would go buy a 2023 again instead of a 2024 because I think the ‘23s are better. I’m not too concerned about not have a heat pump.
That’s funny. Yeah I wasn’t sure about the rear one either. I actually waited a couple of days in between each of those installs. Not a huge deal but still had to run a wire. The front was so easy though. Let me know how well it works for you.

I watched so many videos on this fitcam. Went on Amazon and randomly ordered one but it was the mango brand camera. Thought I was ordered the correct camera but once arrived re watched some videos. Mine seems just like the fitcam. Looks and acts identical.. cost was $160 was going to return it but it seems to work fine.
Thanks for the questions. Im going to wait a little bit to continue experimenting with it before I do a full review. But to answer your questions in the meantime. Yes I download clips directly to my phone from the app. It does have a sd card that you can remove and copy clips that way, but it’s not necessary if you have the app. Yes you can save videos and lock them from deletion on the card as well. You can also view the videos on your phone. Yes it does record audio, but you have to turn it on. It will stay on once you do until you turn it off. Hope that helps.
I’ve not heard either way. I’m guessing though it would have to be an update software wise combined with selling extra hardware for the storage part. Really I think what’ll happen is they might do it on future models. The reason why Tesla has it is every Tesla car sends frames of video back to Tesla servers on a regular basis in order for them to improve their full self driving. So they are really more of a data collection company, rather than a car company.
This is the one that I got. Just directly from their website. Make sure you select the 4K version. fitcamx.com/products/fitcamx-dash-cam-for-ford-f-150-f-150-raptor?variant=41879230972076
lol… it’s such an awesome truck. The only thing Ford did wrong is make too many and go a little bipolar with the prices in thr beginning. Which made it less desirable because if they limited production more people would have wanted it.
@@F150LightningMike I think they will just tread water for a couple more years until their next gen vehicles are ready. They need to sell about 40k Lightnings to help cover some of the EPA requirements of selling the all gas F150s. They can sell 17 of them for every Lightning sold.

Hi @tomsartain8071 thanks for watching. I appreciate your compliments. Never think about the influencer part of the whole deal of making videos, but I have had a few people tell me that they bought a Lightning because of my videos, and thats nice to hear because I love my truck so much. I like hearing people enjoying theirs too. I really just want people to experience ownership of a Lightning along with me. As far as the turning radius, I’m not sure it’s any different than the regular F150, but I wouldn’t want to mess anything up making adjustments to make it any better. I know with some GM trucks they have played with the crab walk feature and 4 wheel steering, and I think it would be cool if Ford would add that kind of thing too. But in the meantime I think we are stuck with the turning radius as is. :-(

Mike, just bought a 23 Lariat Lightning from Phil Long here in the Springs. This is my new favorite channel. Thanks Brother.

Great video Mike. Can you do a full review on this camera? I've been thinking of getting one.
Thank you. Great idea. What type of questions do you have that I could include in a full review?
Hi Mike. Yes something like how easy is to access the videos, does the camera stays powered or on when truck is off. Thanks Mike.
Thank you. I will put it on my list.

Yeah make sure it’s the FitCamX 4k version. There are regular ones out there.
Do you download clips to your phone or does it require removing an sd card? Are you able to view the saved videos on your phone? Does it record audio?

Nice. There's no hope of Ford upgrading the OEM cameras to record, right?

No sorry. That is the only problem with it. It only works when the truck is on. :-(
@@F150LightningMike thanks, i would have to auto start truck to see the camera
That makes since. I haven’t tried that yet, but that’s a good idea.
What model did you choose? The manufacturer’s site doesn’t list a model for the F-150 Lightning.

Their manufactures website doesn't have a LIGHTNING option. Is this the f150 Raptor 21-24 on? the product and power plug look the same.
This is the one that I bought. Just make sure you select 4K:

Does it has parking mode?
I think that’s the only down side to this dash cam is that it’s only on when the truck is on. :-(
Well if a Cowboys fan can install this then anyone can LOL
I don’t care who you are … that’s funny!
12 people bought a lightning .
I guess I was one of them :-)

It’s the best selling electric truck so far with over 50k sold but ok 👌

I hear that they weren’t planning to be profitable until at least 2026.
