Woodturning Pine Gall Burl and Tenon removal

Woodturning a pine Gall. These are Burls made by a fungi and cause the wood to swell around a limb. I’ve found a few of these and made projects out of them. This one turned out very well. It was the first one I incorporated epoxy. For some reason the crack didn’t fill with epoxy. I decided to finish the project and did a little texture work on it. I decided it’s flaw was it’s highlight. It was the first time I used this technique on epoxy. I wasn’t sure it would work without damaging the epoxy finish. As I turned out all is well with this piece. Thank you for watching my videos.

Thank you Philomena. I know it’s crude, I’m just looking for an easier, safer way to cleanup the bottoms so I don’t ruin the hard work that goes into it.
