- In this exquisite woodturning project, a large burl has been transformed into a stunning bowl that showcases the natural beauty of the wood. To enhance its aesthetic appeal, the project has been infused with a blend of golden and purple resin, which adds a mesmerising touch to the piece.
The burl features striking spalting in certain areas, creating unique patterns and characteristics that add to its overall allure. The combination of natural wood and resin creates a beautiful contrast that captivates the eye.
The wood has been turned and finished with great care and attention to detail. The process involves using Yorkshire grit to give the piece a smooth, polished surface, which adds a reflective sheen to the wood and resin. Finally, a few coats of mineral oil have been applied to bring out the intricate grains and colours in the wood, highlighting its unique features and qualities.

Oh yes - loved this one, it certainly does bring out the natural beauty of the wood! The Yorkshire paste you use is like a miracle paste which does seem to transform a surface to look like glass 👍👀🥇
