      All trucks and cars having towing ability. It's about how much. You can say this is built for off road but your a manufacture and your customer has $80,000 plus dollars to spend and they want to to with the manufactures are going to accommodate it's only a matter weight limitations.

    I haven't owned a raptor but I have owned lots of ecoboost vehicles and 87 is just fine unless the car/manual says otherwise. The sensors can account for and know the difference and will dial back the timing if necessary as well as cam timing and many other aspects, but it's mainly ignition timing that octane affects and you actually will see a difference, small though it may be in higher or lower octane. Octane isn't magic octane is literally resistance to detonation and running a higher octane in a car that isn't meant for it or can't account for it can actually make less power. Lower octane is easier to ignite and higher is harder so if it doesn't have the requisite compression ratio and ignition timing it can hurt performance, but most cars now use their knock sensors and others to find the max ignition of what gas is in the car to run the best. I won't go into it much here the info is everywhere but just check your manual or often just the gas cap and it will tell you but with the powerful computers and variable timing and massive array of sensors you can run whatever octane in most cars now a days just check first.

    Really shocked you guys thought the Gen 2 Raptor has a stiff ride. I've owned 4 other F-150s, 2 of which had the FX4 package and in my experience, my 19' Raptor is the nicest riding/smoothest riding truck I've ever driven. I was actually expecting a harsher ride initially, but now I couldn't imagine going back to a standard F-150.

    Nathan hit the nail on the head when he said, "these trucks don't make an any sense to a guy like me." Unless your driving on heavy big rocks deep desert sand out west he is absolutely right! These trucks only make sense for all of 2-3% of all pick up truck owners that drive heavily off road. For the 97% to 98% who mostly only drive trucks daily on city and highway roads it a stupid truck to own at over $70,000. Take all 67 Counties in Florida that like has only have like 3 off road trails and driving on beaches no one in this State needs a beefed, heavy reinforced frame to do any off-roading in this State and yet a used Ford Raptor can be found all over this State.
    Nathan hit it again when he refered to these trucks as "toys". That's what these trucks on paved roads really are. That said I have a test drive with a Raptor on 9/12. I've got to experience the drive for myself and no video can duplicate the real world.

    Nathan - Completely agree with about price gouging.
    For example, I'm selling a boat right now and the market is insane in my area. I've got a sweet 25' Formula with a fresh fuel injected 502 Mag, that I'm selling. I've got a guy driving in from 3+ hrs out to look at it. Obviously he wants it bad. I've got another who wants it. Am I going to take advantage of this and let the highest bidder win? Heck no. Whoever is first, has the right of first refusal in my book - and for the price I listed.

  • @powderriver2424
    @powderriver2424 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I disagree on the Ford tuck as a hot shot, not because it’s a bad truck nor capable or comfort factor. Your highest cost is fuel in trucking, averages matter a V8 is not as efficient as an inline 6, especially under load, fractions of mpg lost calculated over distance and time cost you money, this in conjunction with maintenance is your costs trucking is about saving money to make money and trucking is a tough business.
    RAM with a Cummins and aisin transmission, built by Toyota, is a much more durable and efficient combo, I’m speaking from experience. Also, believe it or not RAM has a better lasting front end. Again I say not because of brand loyalty or favorites, it’s efficiency.
    I don’t care for Freighliner trucks, currently, in the old days it was efficiency and that’s what wins the day.

  • @buckhorncortez
    @buckhorncortez 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Driving a vehicle between dealers is standard as they won't charge you for that service. If they put it on a hotshot trailer, then YOU the customer will pay an additional transport fee. I bought a Platinum F150 that is about the same cost level as a Raptor. I live in New Mexico and the truck was at a dealer in Colorado. The selling dealer picked up the truck in Colorado and drove it back. When I got the vehicle it has nearly 700 miles on it but I wasn't charged an additional transport fee. You don't want the additional mileage, tell the dealer and pay an additional transport fee - that's the tradeoff.

You you also mentioned the bigger tires thus the wider body. Remember RAM 🐏 built the thing to beat down on the Fraud. Since we are talking about relativity, It is incredible that the TRX got ONLY three MPG less than the Fraud. You and should say that it is an amazing feet that with 300 more Hps , the twice the weight of the Frauds engine and t-Rex 🦖 sized frame and body (fraud’s mouse 🐁 like stature) , I am amazed that the EPA is only three less than the Frauds EPA (TRX gets an A++ vs Fraud gets an F~~) this means the TRX is better everywhere. It’s very interesting to hear Nathan correcting Andrey’s English. As a Russian speaker I understand his word choices, because they have a different meaning. For example; He is talking about mass, Andrey is not talking about weight He meant the massive size, in both length and width. Or when he is trying to Signify the importance for Roman traveling on New Years night to pick up the truck, In Russian culture New Years has the same value as Christmas in the US.
    . Maybe 🤔 try using headphones so you guys don’t talk over each other. Otherwise love the content. Would love to hear stories about Nathan’s racing.
