- In the bustling food landscape of Singapore, Outram Park Fried Kway Teow Mee stands out as a purveyor of an island's beloved dish - Char Kway Teow. This hawker stall is known for its masterful wok-fried Kway Teow, enveloped in a harmonious mix of dark soy sauce, eggs, cockles, and a symphony of traditional flavours invigorated with "wok hei" - the essence of flavour imparted at controlled heat by the seasoned man behind the wok.
He is 70-year-old Uncle Ng, 2nd generation owner, assisted by his sons. His father began as a street peddler in 1939 before shifting to Outram in 1973, and finally settling at Hong Lim in 2000. For the last 23 years, uncle's daily routine begins as early as 3am, including frying pork lard and by 4.30am, customers start streaming in for his tantalising plates of Char Kway Teow.
Without the dark soy sauce, the unique white kway teow version has a milder taste, focusing on the natural flavours of its fresh ingredients and the coveted "wok hei." Seasoned modestly with light soya sauce and garlic, it's an inviting dish for those who prefer a different take on the traditional dish.
Fried bee hoon, less commonly offered in hawker stalls, is also available, but it's served in limited quantities till 8am.
Get your craving fixed over at this Michelin star stall. But be warned, go at off peak to avoid long queue. 🤗🥢🍝

Last time at outram nicer..now not nice already
Thanks for the comment.
I tried the char kway teow.... it was so so only. Nothing great cmpared to Shunfu Road Market and Bukit Merah Central. The worst is Zion Road CKT ... just sweet sauce only.
thks for your comments.
This stall is overhyped and expensive. The one at boon keng market is much better.
Must be very nice but also unhealthy.
Thank you for your kind words, and while indulging in such time-honored flavors is indeed a delight, we always appreciate the importance of enjoying them as part of a balanced diet.
Confirm nice 👍
