With the lockdown and stayhome things, cant wait for you guys to put out new videos. Think i've watched it all. Wish I could watch a new one every hour. Great job guys, stay safe
You guys are Great! Thanks for figuring this out for me! I tied in my escape camera to my alpine head unit. Easy as pie. wire colors were even the same. Thanks again!
Nice video. I do have one question. I have a mazda cx 9 2007 bose w/ nav. I wanted to retain my factory backup camera. I got the power working but I don't have a video feed. How will I know what color is the wire for negative/positive of the video feed using a voltmeter? I have the axxess mazcam 6V. Thanks!
I installed a junkyard auto-dimming mirror in my car and didn't bother connecting the reverse trigger to disable auto dim. Why? Because I now have a backup camera to use instead!
Corey Reynolds yeah. I guess for most people, thats okay, and the owner of this vehicle wouldnt mind also. I forgot that there is a backup camera when I made this comment, because for me I like all features enabled.
I got quoted $1200 just to install my steering wheel control harness and a backup camera to my new radio. $1200 just for the labor. With all the parts that comes out to over $1800 for a $500 radio. What you need, Radio $300 to $600 for a decent mid-range radio Dash kit that fits your car $25 Wiring harness that fits your car $10 to $20+ Steering wheel control harness that fits your car AND the new radio $30 to $50 Butt connectors $10 soldering iron and solder $20+ Voltage tester $15 to $30+ voltage reducer for backup camera 15 to $30+ If it doesn't come with the new radio, GPS antenna Optional: satalite radio adapter if you already have the antenna ,and external microphone.
My factory camera is garbage in my tundra. I have tied the factory camera into my aftermarket radio. Is there a way to just add a plate camera with a better picture that will show up on the mirror and aftermarket radio?
If I use a plug and play harness to keep my factory camera, will I be able to turn it on using the screen or will it only happen when shifting into reverse?
I'm also trying to retain my prius prime 2017 fatory camera into my android headset. Install the 12 to 6v step down but im getting a distorted image. Have you seen this issue before?
I think 🤔……he said if that happens the wires are backwards and to just switch them……sorry I’m not 💯 positive he didn’t go into detail on the actual wires and really fast ….. good luck
11:22 I use what is called ALARM CABLE. It's shielded and comes in either (2) 22 gage stranded wires or (4) 22 gage stranded wires. Works great and the cable is NOT bulky. I use it for all sorts of this stuff. Comes in 500 foot rolls in a cardboard box. Jeff Bezos has it.

will it not be a problem that the reverse trigger was disconnected? doesn’t it disable the auto dim when you put it in reverse?
