Love the quick and comprehensive review. Quick question for you. I have 2011 Saab 9-5 NG. Curious if I'm still able and how will I be able to adjust all vehicle options that I currently have via my navigation screen. Do these head units still give me an option to adjust present climate control options, lighting options and vehicle specific features, or do I lose that access after installation of a new head unit? Much appreciated.

Please update your comment due to lot of complain in Teyes web side as Software fail, frame not fit, unit too big, no customer support etc. I buy head unit from Amazon, it was horrible background sound and I returned back. They don’t accept return but Amazon. So I don’t want same mistake and bad experience. Thanks
@hakanbayraktar5340 Teyes do not sell on Amazon, sounds like you didn't get a genuine one. Software and customer support has been flawless for me. And getting the right size and frame is down to the users error

What up, awesome review, I've never heard of any of these head units before but I take your word that they're very good, I just got a 1998 Mercury Grand Marquis it's got a factory radio with cassette tape player lol what media player would you suggest? I want to to get one to pair with some new 6x9s which 6x9s would you recommend?

How do they hold up on a bright and sunny day? I am struggling to find any information on their nits level. I think it would be a nice point to add to your reviews! Like the usability in real world for average person not just specs. Keep up the good work!
I might have to invest in a brightness measure tool to find max and min levels. Ultimately these are fine providing the sunlight is not directly on the screen

I would also like to see Pluscenter head units reviewed, seem reasonable on the face of it but some very conflicting reviews.
@duncanh997 pluscenter are just rebranded units, they run fake android and there aftersales is non existent. I have had lots of people contact me for help with pluscentre units because they get no response from customer support 😕

Thanks, I enjoy your videos. As always very informative. I currently have a model specific Joying head unit in my Mitsubishi Shogun but always interested to hear if there is anything worth swapping to. I was disappointed to see Eonon have a very limited range of model specific units not including Mitsubishi or Saab (info from UK web site).
My Shogun has an OEM amplifier which is apparently very difficult to properly link but the model specific wiring loom from Joying works perfectly, also with the OEM reversing camera. I wouldn't want to risk a non specific wiring loom in case I don't get the same level of integration as with my current Joying unit.
Hi Sir! just discovered your channel last night and have been deep diving into your detailed reviews. I have a honda civic 1.6 i-dtec with factory android 4 nav, if you know anything about this car then the wiring is super annoying and I think i might need to buy incartec looms as im assuming the ones with these units wont work 100%. Also some splicing required to retain the call buttons on the steering.
Anyhooo - Question I have for you is - Do any of these units allow multiple phones to be connected to the call function ? I normally have a personal phone which i like to be connected for audio (and android auto in future) then a work phone i need connected to take work calls.
Another question, does the eonon have split screen for the main apps ?

If not, any idea if there’s a way to get a live front cam widget in Nova launcher using an app or something? Planning to drive rhd in Europe for a while and figured having a front camera to view left side would help a lot with overtaking/pulling out from a parking spot

I saw in one video that you have a Grand Cherokee, and I have a Cherokee Latitude. I've seen a couple of videos of head units unable to control the heated steering wheel. Have you found one that does control everything, including the steering wheel?
And how soon, if ever do you think that the head units will be 5G compatible?

I've noticed a couple of the units got G4 aerial plugs what is this used for ? Is it once the units connected to your phone's Wi-Fi it can use its own aerial then for a better signal? I am very grateful for the time and effort you put into your video thank you💯👍
Could you please do a review of the screen mounting brackets on the various brands. I would love an in depth look at how the screens are mounted and adjusted for depth, height and tilt. This information will determine what brand I choose despite the performance of the head unit itself. Thanks in advance and keep doing what you do.
Great information. Can you recommend who makes the best drop in unit with proper trim for a 2014 Jaguar XKR? I could not find one from the companies mentioned here.
Thank you so much for your content! One thing that I really wish the world new is what the analog RCA output voltages are. This is the one area in which these Android head units are typically weak... they have between 1.5v and 2.2 volt RCA outs... and this just makes it a no-go for most people in the Sound Quality world.
Is there any way you can include this in your reviews? It would be a game changer for a whole lot of us, I assure you!
Hi great video! I’m considering buying the ainavi X6. Have you tried out ainavi and would you recommend their products?
One of the first head units I remember like these was the Parrot Asteroid Mini. I had one in my car back in 2016 and it was absolutely great; I had all of the apps that were available on Google Play store and had the TORQ application with a bluetooth OBDII transmitter that would send live data to the app and would even display it as digital gauges. Sadly, Parrot shifted its primary focus on drones for military/LEO and no longer make any variant of the Asteroid Mini.
at 5:30 in your video, you have the error "3d roundview is not activated". how do you resolve that as i have the same issue now. if you tell me i need to pay to use the 360 camera thats pretty lame.
Remember, joying doesn’t advertise this as far as I know, that message is probably something for licensing. It still works 100%

Nice review, I've been watching all of these head units and I see that most have RCA inputs. I am looking for a new screen that can replace the DENSO screen on the 2011 Land Rover Discovery 4 with Harman-Kardon but I haven't found if some of these that you reviewed would fit my Disco4, and what modifications in the cables I'll have to be doing. @@ameenpeek I know, right?! Couldn't find anything. It's annoying that my options are either a shitty cheap head unit that may not be built for my car at all, or a really expensive one that will basically be able to mine bitcoin while I drive. I mean, really? Why would one need the option to connect their Playstation to the car screen?! I have a bigger, nicer screen at home. I also have a couch, which is more comfortable than the seats in my car. The idea is beyond me....
Another brilliant roundup. I wish I had the confidence to jump on the T'eyes for my Mitsubishi Pajero - but installation services out here in Dubai are very hit and miss and certainly couldn't do it myself!
You can do it. It's very simple it's no different than installing any other radio basically plug & play and there are tons of videos on TH-cam showing you how to do it
@Saab Unleashed: Great video! Suggestion: A video showcasing everything about how to make android radio's work with RSE (rear seat entertainment) monitors (usually 2, one for each back seat). Many android radio's advertise RSE capability but not many people know how to actually make it work. The limitations, possibilities, what can be done, what can't be, etc.. in detail would be great to hear and see! Thanks!

I just can't find the right Launcher that will be easy to operate and nice looking. I tried to setup the nova launcher, but I couldn't find any useful widgets. Can you please make a video about configuring the nova launcher please? :)

@saabunleashed can you comment on which of these may be preferrable for integration with a 2006 9-3 (currently has the ICM2)? I have seen some of your older videos on that subject, but wondered how these newer units worked in that regard. My initial preference would be to integrate in the dash (remove the ICM2 but not have the stick out tiltable screen). I could be pursuaded otherwise :-) But having audio steering wheel controls would be a nice plus. Not worrying at this point about backup camera etc.Thanks so much for your great content!

I have a Vauxhall Vivaro , in the UK, and need a new Android head unit. Do you have a particular recommendation for UK vehicles as most of the ones on this video are hard to obtain over here.
This video was very helpful to me. I’ve been looking at stereo vids for a couple of days now. Really like the look of the Android head units.
One thing I never see (and can’t find info on) is AM/FM reception (dBf). I mostly listen to Sirius/Pandora/TuneIn but there are times when I actually enjoy terrestrial radio.
The aftermarket units I’ve tried (Pioneer, Jensen, and JVC) have all SUCKED in comparison to the stock radio. It’s actually annoying enough that I have pulled the aftermarket radios and put in the original just to get better reception. 😢
Oh, and I'm not a fan of RDS station names. I can just as easily recall which station plays what using the digital numbers. It would, in fairness, be nice for the RDS - AND - the station number to be displayed simultaneously. Win-win for all.
Hello there. I was wondering if I could get some advice. I've got a Ford Focus Zetec 2009, and I believe the model is MK 2.5. I still have the original radio installed. However, I'd like to upgrade it to a newer one with features such as SatNav, DAB radio, and the potential to connect to a camera in the future, like a reverse camera, etc. I'm totally confused and unsure about what to choose. Could you please recommend a reasonably priced radio that would fit in my Ford Focus, here in the UK?

hey dude, awesome video!! Im about to buy a chinese one that has 2gb of RAM and 32GB of ROM, I wont be running videos or movies etc, probably just carplay, some waze or maps, and spotify. Will the RAM be enough or shoudl I look for something else? it has an A7 cpu 1.3 GHZ x 4, I am not looking to spend a lot of money though, this is like 50 bucks. let me know, thanks

Does anyone know if the Sub woofer out on all of these works like a convention head deck??? I currently have an ATOTO A6 Pro, but when turning the master volume up or down the sub does not react with the volume. I informed ATOTO years ago when I got it and they had no fix as it was a hardware limitation that no one had realised prior to production.
I have an amp and sub that worked no problem with a conventional head deck :(
How is the brand Xeowyn? I need to replace the unit in my 2008 Acura TLs. They seem to be the only ones making a Tesla style unit specifically for that car.
I have three vehicles that's that I would like to put the same system in. I have a 2014 Nissan Leaf, a 2016 VW Crafter and a 2016 Mitsubishi outlander. I am struggling to decide between a Teyes CC3 and EKIY T7. Are you going to do a more detailed video on the EKIY T7? Dab radio is important and 360 cameras. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks for this video. I choose a joying 11" head unit specific to my 18 jeep wrangler. The hardest part of the installation was the cameras, mounting and wire runs. But some sad news. Driving around town, yesterday the head unit went dead. Had a bunch of warning lights go off on the dash(most concerning was the airbag light) then blank screen, no sound. Trouble shooting revealed no loose wires and good fuses (both head unit and vehicle). Only one month of use, doa, $600. I think anyone choosing a head unit should think long and hard about what your going to do, if you have problems. Their is a definite language barrier and your a world away from help. I will bench trouble shoot this, I am almost positive that the canbus adapter is the cause. I am replacing it with a PAC version to see. BTW I love what this head unit can do, and want it to work. I'll update if I figure it out.😮
When you say "already compatible with steering wheel controls" does that mean without anything extra on the Saab 93 (2008 for me)? I know that before we had to buy the "Connects2" stuff...which is getting to be harder to find for USA based Saab lovers heh.

Should consider using a TS10s. Would love to know what you think. Customisation wise. I swapped my ts18 main board for a TS10s board. Using the newer uis7862S which is now the faster soc. 8gb ram too.
