Thank you for sharing your feelings and your honesty. I love your TH-cam videos. You are one of my favorites! I'm glad you will be continuing with that. You made the right decision!
You are a beautiful soul. Very lovely. I love all you post sis. Beautiful seashore. Shells. So relaxing. Nice voice singing. Thanks for showing us your yarns.
Wanted to stop at the 53 minute mark and give you some words of encouragement. I have taken many breaks from social media over the past few years because..... overwhelm. It's all so overwhelming and I just shut down. I couldn't put it into words before, but I'm in the middle of a big move and found the same thing happening with packing up. We move a lot, so I'm used to packing, but this year packing just felt overwhelming. And so does social media right now. I smiled when you mentioned the things you "used to do" because I've been thinking on that a lot lately too. So hats off to you for walking away from it all. I will be joining you soon. 💕
Nicole, I’m so happy that you’re still recording. Yours is my favorite knitting podcast. You knit such beautiful things and our tastes are so similar. Your podcast is so calm and relaxing and I love to knit while watching it. Stay well. Karen
Hello 👋 i hope you're safe over there? I hope this month brings happiness prosperity love and peace 💞❤️🕊️🕊️ all over the world 🙏🌍 I'm originally from Canada currently living in Key West Florida and you where are you from if i may ask?
Love you Nicole I cherish every episode you do but no pressure now they’re just a treat every time I see a new one and thank you for sharing all those beautiful Shawls wow wow
Dear Nicole, though I expected you to be extremely kind (as you always are!) about your namesake shawl I didn’t expect how moved I would be by your talking about it here. Thank you so much for your generosity of spirit and time to support other makers which is the most inspiring part of your work of all. I love the color of hinterland Dusk you chose! I hope to try it someday. The half and half wrap looks like such an intimidatingly large project… and now you’ve made multiples! Maybe one day I’ll have the courage to cast it on.
Hello 👋 i hope you're safe over there? I hope this month brings happiness prosperity love and peace 💞❤️🕊️🕊️ all over the world 🙏🌍 I'm originally from Canada currently living in Key West Florida and you where are you from if i may ask?
So wonderful to see you and your knitting again. Everything about you and your podcast is gentle and it’s exactly what the world needs now. Thank you for sharing. I so look forward to it.
Hi Nicole, What a fabulous episode! Thank you for recording it. I hadn't been knitting for ages, and hearing your voice made m pick up my unfinished sock. (finally!) I am almost done with the pair. I love all of your projects. I plan to purchase those patterns and some yarn. Especially the Nicole shawl!!! xo
I just did the same, left social media. I’m still watching and listening to podcast and I’ve kept Ravelry. I’m not active on LinkedIn but have kept it as an adress book for business contacts. As you I’ve also deleted most of my apps on my iPhone and I don’t miss a thing! Not for a second that I would switch back and leave this lovely more down to earth way of living. I love to be back in my own life and do real things with one hundred focus again. I have my own company and work as an illustrator and artist and it have meant a lot for my creativity to have again a clear mind! It’s such a joy and I don’t have words for how valuable it has been for me in every way leaving social media. You don’t need to be there :) Life is happening anyway, that fomo you feel, I think it will dissapear. Quite fast too, but that’s me guessing. Thank you for sharing your thoughts about this topic, it was both interesting and valuable for me. And thank you for all knitting inspiration! Warm hugs from Sweden.
Nicole, you have the coziest knitting podcast and I keep getting drawn back to it again and again. I'm so grateful for this space to cozy up and settle into my knitting - not to be dramatic, but I think you capture the very spirit of knitting here. Thank you for sharing your peaceful presence 🤍
Bravo on your decision to unplug from social media. We are all different, but S.M. is definitely a time-suck and doesn’t add that much to our lives. As knitters, or other crafters, we are attracted to the tangible. Your reflection on how many of us grew up in the analog/tangible/face-to-face world...and how online life is the antithesis to that-well, you said it all!
We as a family quit our online activity (FB, IN, Twitter, etc) due to the time consuming nature of Social Media. We found a big relief because it was a lot of time freed up for living in the present and reconnecting with our family, friends and community we live in. A huge relief. BTW… Love your podcast !!!
@@samhouston1673 If they are used sparingly, they do not have to be an "enemy". It doesn't have to be all or nothing. I tried Twitter and Instagram, and quit both very quickly. Now I use only FB, and that's for my genealogical work, and keeping in touch with my enormous, far-flung family.
Thank you for sharing your self care of backing away from social media. I also did the same yrs ago, realizing how much money companies made off of tracking info. I felt like a hunted animal in the woods. My cell is only a tool. I turned off the info they collect.. My cell is available for contact list only ...rest are blocked. TH-cam for my crafting , tutorials & knitting podcast. We are all still tracked in some form....Google I'm talking to you! Self Care should be at the top of our list not the bottom. Your gift is this podcast of calm & beautiful knitting ; a gift to all of us that watch. A big Hug & thank you for the work & time it takes!
So lovely to hear from you and see all your wonderful projects. I applaud and absolutely understand your decision not to attend Rhinebeck this year. I live in Florida with its awful Delta variant surge, and many plans have been changed. However, I've made a sizeable dent in my stash and the box of knits for the rescue mission is full, so silver lining! Your namesake shawl suits you perfectly. I can't wait to add it to my wardrobe. Be safe, be well and be happy!
Oh Nicole you looks so beautiful and with your long hair you look like a fairy woods lady!!! And I'm so happy when we can see you on your podcast, a big hug for you and the lovely Marcel!!! I Love to see all your projects but I love more hear your peaceful voice!
Hello 👋 i hope you're safe over there? I hope this month brings happiness prosperity love and peace 💞❤️🕊️🕊️ all over the world 🙏🌍 I'm originally from Canada currently living in Key West Florida and you where are you from if i may ask?
Thank you so much for mentioning us Nicole! We love your podcast. So recognizable what you say about soclia media. We are both at the same point. Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely love this episode so so much Nicole. As I watched in pieces, I mended a giraffe purse for one daughter, mended the waistband of a skirt for another daughter, and knit on my Half & Half Triangles Wrap. I hear what you're saying about social media and smart phones and found the phrase "attention economy" a telling description. Thank you so much for sharing your makes, thoughts, life. Take care, Stephanie
Hello Nicole, Thanks for your nice podcast. With your wonderful knittings. really love your you half and half wrap, and you inspired me to knit one as well. I actually ordered the yarn which is really exciting as i never experienced ordering some of a so far away place. It was difficult to decide which colours to choose - there are so many beautiful possibilities. :) so I ended up in deciding for the charcole version with dark iris and their salt and pepper which I will combine with aalpaca-silk-linen-yarn of red wine colour That might be beautiful for the cooler summer evenings. So thank you for your inspiration. Stay well. Regards, Marie. 🌞🧶
Hi Nicole, I love your podcast and i learn a lot from you. Navy is a really good color for you. I just knit my first colorwork hat and failed miserably. i may try it again after i've watched a few video on your tube. i love that you open with A la claire fontaine. My youngesr grandson is in french immersion and only know Alouette so far. i live in Kanata and i feel that we have a connection. Keep up with the music and outdoor walks and fabulous FOs. i like hearing about your traditions. i hope we can meet somehow. Take care. Anne
Thankyou. There are so many comments to this video already that you may not see this but I needed to just say it anyway. As an older person I recognise the transition you have made from paper and people to the incredible idea that so much can be contained on one little tablet/phone, back to paper and people. Your podcasts always enfold and inspire me. As a spinner I get inspirations to make the yarns you talk of then knit some of the patterns. Just to hold a book with a linen binding makes my fingers itch and my heart beat faster! I hope you feel able to remain on you tube. You are much appreciated.☺️
You’ve got me thinking about the triangles wrap - maybe next year. Glad you are setting boundaries to stay happy and healthy. You look wonderful and your finished objects are beautiful! God bless.
I still have a gorgeous oversized 100% Wool yoked sweater from JCrew circa 1994. I love it so much! Nicole, thanks for making a video, I love spending time with!
Hi Nicole….I know I don’t know you personally but I feel such a love towards you. I have a daughter the same age as you. I am 77 yrs and taught myself how to knit when I was 20! I have a passion for knitting and yarns!😊. I also love neutral colors! I watched this in October when it first came out and watched it thus evening and love love all of the patterns. After Christmas I’m going to indulge myself in the making the Nicole shawl…yes you should be proud of it! Thank you so much for your podcasts…I just wish they were more frequent! Many Blessings and a beautiful Advent.❤️
Totally support your step back from social media. The internet is one thing and has many benefits, but one only has to observe our youths' addiction to see the disastrous psychological consequences that we are/will be facing from "social" media.
Delightful podcast. Hello to Canada, fellow knitter.. I went to college in Moncton and grew up in Maine, next to Woodstock N B so Canada is near and dear to my heart. many years agoJust subscribed to your podcast. Thank you for showing so many lovely projects and sharing interesting subjects such as limited time for social media. Also enjoyed seeing and hearing about yarn and book resources. I’ll be checking out your previous episodes as well. Gentle Knitter is a perfect title to draw me into your world of knitting because I like ve quiet calm and cozy. Thank you Nicole.
A little more information about the book "52 Weeks of Shawls". Looks like it's about $55 from vendors in the United States. It is available in both English and Finnish languages. Ravelry has a page devoted to the book, and I was surprised to see that the patterns can be purchased individually there. The Ravelry page has a photo array of all of the shawls in the book. My favorite is the Korpsång, a very delicate shawl with a flock of tiny ravens scattered across part of the shawl in eyelet stitches. Korpsång also has an interesting design element along one edge, where it looks like you weave in a dark brown yarn as an accent color feature. Nicole, glad to see you mentioned the Korpsång shawl in this video. And all things considered, I think the book is a worthwhile purchase, even if you only knit one or two shawls from it. It truly is a work of art.
Hi Nicole, so nice to see you and your beautiful projects again. As a fellow Canadian, I always love when you talk about Canadian wool and yarn companies. I always love trying new yarns and it's a bonus when it's Canadian. I also appreciated what you had to say about social media because I can very much relate. I haven't been able to ever fully articulate what it is about facebook or instagram that causes anxiety and uncomfortable feelings in me but it's something that I haven't really engaged with in years. I briefly was on instagram for the first time ever at the beginning of the pandemic and it was a great way to connect and share my art and knitting but you're right, those platforms are set up so that you feel pressure to constantly post and engage with it. I also do not have the mental space for that. My main form of social media is here on youtube watching lovely makers such as yourself share your projects. I love seeing the classic/classy designs you choose and the rustic, natural fibres you work with. Always an inspiration to me. Sending wooly warmth from Winnipeg :)
I'm so delighted to have been a little part of your trip to New Brunswick - La Violette is a wonderful little yarn shop, and I hope you enjoy knitting and wearing your souvenir socks! Happy knitting! Deborah, Yarn Indulgences
I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy you on your TH-cam channel. You are so soothing to watch and I think we all could use someone like you on here. Thank you for all that you do.
Hi Nicole Lovely to see you again🥰 Love your knits especially the shaws, how lovely to have a shawl named after you😀🧶 Can’t wait to see your brioche shawl finished:) Take care KimX
Nicole I'm glad that you are going to continue doing your podcast. I've never been involved with much social media. I have protected myself from a lot of drama and stress. And I also agree that being connected with people in our lives takes time and responsibility. To have a good friend, you must be a good friend! So we are limited by time and distance. Many of us here are enjoying your beautiful makes and your kind and sweet nature! And we are happy that you want to share that part of your life. Glad you enjoyed a lovely visit with your mother and father, and family!🌺🦋🌸🌼🦋
Nicole, I think it's very brave of you to openly and honestly recognize the limitations social media has caused on yourself personally...and to admit and explain to your TH-cam dedicated audience is really heartfelt ! I quit social media over one year ago for very much the same reasons, and haven't looked back. I Love your inclusive videos, your style and every minute i spent watching your inspiring content...Thank You !
Dear Nicole, your podcast had been a source of comfort during the whole of this year. I love everything that you make and your colour palette makes my heart sing. Your half and half is genuinely "everything". Knitting a Puntal sweater for my sister. This is her birthday month.
Hello 👋 i hope you're safe over there? I hope this month brings happiness prosperity love and peace 💞❤️🕊️🕊️ all over the world 🙏🌍 I'm originally from Canada currently living in Key West Florida and you where are you from if i may ask?
Dear Nicole, so nice to see you again. I’m so glad you decided not to ditch us along with social media! I watch a lot of knitting podcasts but yours is my favourite. I love seeing what you make and your colour choices. Stay well
I do think taking breaks from the cell phone in many ways is a really good move, I do it often. So pleased that you will continue to use you-tube to bring your wonderful mindful podcasts to so many of us that really appreciate you, thank you
Dear Nicole, Your knits are always beautiful…I totally understand your dilemma about social media…I left most of it three years ago, and I don’t watch tv, what a waste of precious time. I’m a ceramicist, I knit, learning to spin fiber, garden year round, cook, hike with my dog and gather with friends. All these activities I feel keep you grounded, creative and in the moment. I hope to meet you in person someday… You are an inspiration in this community. Be well!
Hi Nicole! I really missed your podcast and I am so glad you came back to us with yet another comforting and gentle podcast. You are so brave to cut down the social media connection…I have been trying and it seams so hard when even my church makes announcements and live transmission on one of the platforms. I find hard to disconnect although I am not active and even more, I feel like no one would notice I am not there present if I leave. One day I’ll cut the cord myself. I like your choice of yarn either fibers and colors. I hope we will hear from you here more often! Cheers , Catalina
Your podcast is always so relaxing, soothing and enjoyable. I really relate to your aesthetic and color choices. And, as a fellow introvert who has never used social media other than just using my log-in to view things occasionally, I definitely relate to it not being your “thing.” It all sounds so stressful to me. Enjoy your new-found serenity.
Hi Nicole, it has been so lovely to catch up with you and to see your beautiful projects! Thank you for sharing your reasons for staying away from social media for your own well being. It sounds as though this was a very mindful decision for you and though its sad that we won't see your beautiful photos on instagram, I am so happy that you are still happy to keep recording and sharing your beautiful makes and inspirational projects. Aleksandra x
Hello 👋 i hope you're safe over there? I hope this month brings happiness prosperity love and peace 💞❤️🕊️🕊️ all over the world 🙏🌍 I'm originally from Canada currently living in Key West Florida and you where are you from if i may ask?
I missed you all summer long. So nice you are back. You also solved a problem for me. I am currently knitting a jumper and I don’t like the folded neckline. The Classic jumper solved it for me. So beautiful. Thank you
Quitting social media has brought me an increadable amount of serenity. Going on 5 years now and I refuse to go back. It was hard at first, for me it had an addiction element to it as well as other negitive effects, I can only speak for myself. Love your show.
I love watching you talk about your projects with such care and passion. You are so sweet. I really appreciate that you give us sources to find lovely yarns and patterns. Thank you.
So glad that you are continuing to podcast on TH-cam. I find it that it's the one place where I feel that I can control it and it isn't aggressively trying to control me. I recognise your feeling that much of the modern world is constantly nagging for attention and it takes some resolve to resist this. I love the things you make. Thanks for knitting and recommending free patterns. I get disappointed that so many patterns are so expensive.
Well Nicole, (fellow 1970 baby here), you do make a lovely podcast!! I hope you get some enjoyment from putting them together. I’m totally in love with your Sunday scarf...
Hello Nicole, Love your videos, so calming and inspiring. Canadian creators like you are dear to my heart. Thank you for your content and sharing this journey with us. Much Love and peace from Edmonton! Xo Brae
Beautiful makes as always 💕 I just popped on my Instagram over the weekend to find a pattern release date. I have been off Instagram since February and I have to say I didn’t miss it. I still feel so much need for life to slow down a little and just keep it old school for all the same reasons you mentioned.
The colorful person I am very much appreciates that everything you knit fits together because of the more cohesive palette. I wanna knit everything you've shown. And just as an FYI I wanna mention that the very first original line of colors for Espace Tricot was created in collaboration and dyed by the talented Annie Paaren. Once again, it's been a pleasure to listen to you Nicole.
Thank you for another lovely episode. You are so calm (and gentle ;)) and it is always so relaxing to listen to you. I appreciate that! And I'm so inspired by all your beautiful knits. Have a blessed autumn, and I look forward to your next episode :) Love from Anne in Norway
Dear Nicole - I just discovered your channel and am so happy to have done so. I love to knit hats, socks and cowls and am so enjoying knitting while listening to your channel. It is much like having a quiet friend in the room while we share a craft that we both so love to do. Your work is exquisite and I am inspired by your knitting. I look forward to visiting your channel often. Happy Holidays to you from the USA!
Allo ma chère Nicole, Let me tell you that I admire you as a person and a knitting “celebrity” Your love for natural fibres is really inspiring and my project list keeps growing every time I watch your podcast. It was an incredible pleasure to have you visiting La Violette with your maman. Thanks for sharing your experience and the beautiful video, you made the store look amazing! Till next time, stay safe
I feel like we are walking parrallel lives but I'm two steps behind you. (you are leading the way through a lovely path) I love every project you finished and are working on. Thank you for sharing.
Nicole; I just found your podcasts on TH-cam. I'll be watching while I knit this winter. I like stranded color patterning. This year I"m exploring Selbu mittens. Right now I'm learning to make chevron pattern ribbed cuffs. I love your grey and blue shawl. When I do "mindless" knitting I like to work with overdye striated yarns for love of color. I love your gentle style of presentation.
It’s good to know other minimal social media users are out there, so thank you for your openness, Nicole. But I am relieved you will keep making these videos as every one of them is like a new cosy woolly shawl wrapped around me 🥰. You bring hygge to us!! I also have the shawl book, it’s possibly my best knitting book ever, and I’m now off to the postal collection point to get the wool for Korpsang, the first one. What a difficult choice - where to start! Just 51 to go…. 😁
Motivating! I just ordered 3 dark denim, 3 dark iris, and 3 grey denim. Not sure which 2 I will be using to make my half and half yet but SO excited! Thank you!
Thanks for the informative video. Love the "Nicole" shawl, and your blanket/shawl w/Purl Soho yarn. Congratulations on limiting your social media time. Good move so you can continue creating beautiful items with your hands. Also, thanks for introducing me to The Woolly Thistle store in your Episode 40. Moving onto knitting more color work.
Hello 👋 i hope you're safe over there? I hope this month brings happiness prosperity love and peace 💞❤️🕊️🕊️ all over the world 🙏🌍 I'm originally from Canada currently living in Key West Florida and you where are you from if i may ask?
Hi I hope.you don't find my message intrusive. I wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your videos. I'm another lock down convert and am so enjoying the you tube environment of pod casters. I would say there are half a dozen that I watch with some gusto and yours is the top of the list. I was delighted to see that you had a new video out and I look forward to future episodes and updates in your knitting adventures. Watching your stuff is a great reinforcement of my own little journey. Your finished knitwear, yarn choices.and colour selections hit the mark for me. Sorry for gushing so il sign off by wishing you a mindful and cosy autumn. Julie
I agree that social media can be a pressure and I spend very little time there. That being said, I wouldn’t be the knitter or maker I am today if I didn’t have the occasional look at my favourite makers. I think social media goes as far under our skin as we let it, and I do feel like it has its benefits. But I do agree that it can be overwhelming and a stress factor. 🥰
OMG! I spot a squirrel in the background! Minute 49 :) And just today I bought the same book with the same attitude like you - as a treat myself gift, because I can and I want it in my life. Just can't wait to enjoy it soon...
Still my favourite podcaster! I also create my own knitting podcasts, and actually I was moved to start doing them in part because of how much I enjoy yours. You continue to inspire me with your lovely aesthetic, beautiful yarn and pattern choices, thoughtful insights, and gentle, kind spirit. Thanks for keeping it up!
I have so many books, but the shawls are stunning! Love the things you have made. I sat here in my living room and knitted on my mother’s sweater while listening.
Quel grand plaisir de regarder ton magnifique podcast! Merci Nicole! Tout est beau et tentant! Et merci de partager les idées qui te tiennent à cœur. 💕💕💕
Dear Nicole I understand so well about social media, I to have this need in how my life was before social media. Reading, music, painting all kinds of things that I loved to do and somehow don't do that so much and just more and more aware of that. As always love, love your beautiful knits and podcast. Greetings from a place of sun and Atlantic wind and all the neutrals.....
Always a pleasure seeing and hearing from you, Nicole. Enjoy your reading and walking! 😊 I quit fb over a year ago and have ZERO regrets! Take care. Love from Belgium. X
I too was born into an analog world and the digital world to me is difficult, overwhelming. I too have taken steps away from social media, and I find that I am calmer about my making, my choices are more deliberate and, in a sense, curated. I am less tempted to buy buy buy, and yes, I use my evenings now to read or spin. And those people who have stayed in contact are few, so even my friendships are more concrete and real. ❤️ That said, I am glad to see you here.
So great to catch up with you and all the yarny things in your world again. I feel reconnected to the wonderful side of knitting after I've viewed your podcast.
I know am behind on your episodes but I do enjoy watching. And I think this was one I truly enjoyed! All your beautiful projects, photo of you and your Mom, the clip of the yarn store, your discussion about IG and the book. 👍🏼 StitchedbyMimi
Chère Nicole, so beautifully done! Starting with the knitting & yarns to your personal message. Lovely and I totally understand! I'm so happy you are continuing with the podcast. Stay well!
I am so glad you aren’t stopping with the podcast! But I so understand the dropping of the social media, especially instagram. I too made that decision, although not to the extent you have. I still post occasionally on instagram, and look at who hearts or comments on my posts. But I don’t spend ages on it anymore, or try to keep up or anything like that. I used to try to keep up so that I saw absolutely everything in my feed, plus comment etc. I’m not well known like you, so I can imagine how much time it must have taken you to try to keep up with it - too much time! I too find more time to do what I love to do - read, knit, etc. It’s wonderful! I will have to look up the resources you used to make your decision. It’s funny cause you are knitting so many things that I’ve been eyeing up! That brioche sweater is on my to knit list, as is the classic sweater! I’m currently knitting a half and half wrap too. Lol! I love everything you have shown, and I loved seeing pics and footage of your trip as well. Thanks for sharing with us! Your mother is beautiful - I can see where you came from! :D. Looking forward to your next video already. Take care!
It's such a beautiful pattern Julia. I've gotten a bit side-tracked on it because of holiday knitting etc, but looking forward to getting back to my Orchid in the new year. Happy holidays to you and yours!
Nicole your so beautiful! So glad you are still recording and I loved your intro! Your blue moth mug is wonderful. Thankyou for being here to calm my soul when I need it
Hi NICOLE I AM HAPPY THAT Y OU ARE STAYING ON. I REALLY LIKE YOUR WORK AND YOUR SONG THAT YOU SING IN THE BEGINNING. YES SOCIAL MEDIA IS NOT THAT IMP9RTANT TO ME.
Nicole, so lovely to see you, it’s like knitting with a friend. Thank you for sharing your beautiful projects. You have inspired me to knit a half and half triangles wrap. Take care.
Hello 👋 i hope you're safe over there? I hope this month brings happiness prosperity love and peace 💞❤️🕊️🕊️ all over the world 🙏🌍 I'm originally from Canada currently living in Key West Florida and you where are you from if i may ask?
I, too, splurged on the "52 weeks of Shawls" book and have been knitting the Windgate shawl by Fiona Alice for several weeks now and I have been knitting it this during this podcast. Happy to be coming in for the home stretch with just a mere 150 or so rows to go. Now, I'll have to explore all those divine shawls you've shown us for inspiration as I haven't even looked yet at the patterns so intent am I to finish this one. I'm knitting it with a Chelsea Yarns fingering 80/10/10 in Robin's Egg, combined with Artyarns Mohair Silk is an almost identical color. Keep up your podcasts - they are restful and very inspirational. The Classic sweater from Espace Tricot is now calling me too.
Beautiful, beautiful knits as always.... I am totally with you on being in the touchy feely world. I love turning the pages of my books and smelling the paper. I very rarely buy anything online as I like to feel. I don’t do a lot of social media but I also found that I was beginning to spend far too much time catching up... I have kept my YT channels to a select few also.... Thank you as always for showing us your beautiful creations 💕🌿
Would probably be an “soft summer“ in personal colour analysis - so it is not surprising that you love muted cool colours! I am also a September, and although I am trying to be for jewel colours, they’re just “a bit much “ and tend to wear me! 😊. Soft, muted pinks and purpley greys can look wonderful, though. Love your channel! Perfect accompaniment to my knitting…
Thank you Nicole! Have a wonderful weekend!
Stay well. Karen

Dear Nicole c'est toujours un plaisir de vous écouter. Great pleasure to listen to you. Thank you for your generosity, honesty and sharing.
Bravo. Those social media companies are the enemy of human interaction.
I get exactly what you are saying about social media. I severely limit my time on those platforms. I do enjoy your videos very much. Thank you.
Hi Nicole I am so lucky to have found your podcast. Your singing, oh so calming and peaceful. Blessings. I just love the different patterns you knit.
Hello 👋 i hope you're safe over there? I hope this month brings happiness prosperity love and peace 💞❤️🕊️🕊️ all over the world 🙏🌍
I'm originally from Canada currently living in Key West Florida and you where are you from if i may ask?
Thank you so much for mentioning us Nicole! We love your podcast. So recognizable what you say about soclia media. We are both at the same point. Thanks for sharing.
My pleasure. I love your videos!
Hello Nicole,
Thanks for your nice podcast.
Merci Madame pour, vos podcasts, que je regarde de France !et que j'aime bien, even when I can't understand everything...
Pascale.
Thank you for watching Barbara. So glad to have you here.
Thank you for continuing to make your videos. They bring a little peace and joy to my day. I am inspired to make the half and half wrap.
Totally support your step back from social media. The internet is one thing and has many benefits, but one only has to observe our youths' addiction to see the disastrous psychological consequences that we are/will be facing from "social" media.
So happy to watch this podcast but fully understand your need to find the time to connect with the actual craft of knitting. 🇬🇧
Hi Nicole
Lovely to see you again🥰
Love your knits especially the shaws, how lovely to have a shawl named after you😀🧶
Can’t wait to see your brioche shawl finished:)
Take care
KimX
Nicole I'm glad that you are going to continue doing your podcast. I've never been involved with much social media. I have protected myself from a lot of drama and stress. And I also agree that being connected with people in our lives takes time and responsibility. To have a good friend, you must be a good friend! So we are limited by time and distance. Many of us here are enjoying your beautiful makes and your kind and sweet nature! And we are happy that you want to share that part of your life. Glad you enjoyed a lovely visit with your mother and father, and family!🌺🦋🌸🌼🦋
Truly Loved ever knit pattern and yarn choices you shared!
I also needed to hear about the personal choice of no social media!
Your episodes are always inspiring and lovely Nicole. Thank you for sharing your knitting with us💜
Hello 👋 i hope you're safe over there? I hope this month brings happiness prosperity love and peace 💞❤️🕊️🕊️ all over the world 🙏🌍
I'm originally from Canada currently living in Key West Florida and you where are you from if i may ask?
Dear Nicole, so nice to see you again. I’m so glad you decided not to ditch us along with social media! I watch a lot of knitting podcasts but yours is my favourite. I love seeing what you make and your colour choices. Stay well
I hear you on the social media shutoff. I have been considering it for a while. I am glad you're still doing TH-cam because I love your videos.
I do think taking breaks from the cell phone in many ways is a really good move, I do it often. So pleased that you will continue to use you-tube to bring your wonderful mindful podcasts to so many of us that really appreciate you, thank you
Dear Nicole,
Your knits are always beautiful…I totally understand your dilemma about social media…I left most of it three years ago, and I don’t watch tv, what a waste of precious time. I’m a ceramicist, I knit, learning to spin fiber, garden year round, cook, hike with my dog and gather with friends. All these activities I feel keep you grounded, creative and in the moment. I hope to meet you in person someday…
You are an inspiration in this community. Be well!
Dear Nicole, I am so happy that you are keeping your podcast going. It's always a joy and a comfort to watch your podcast 😊
Thank you for the triangle wrap link. What a beautiful shawl.
I hope this month brings happiness prosperity love and peace 💞❤️🕊️🕊️ all over the world 🙏🌍
I'm originally from Canada currently living in Key West Florida and you where are you from if i may ask?
I missed you all summer long. So nice you are back. You also solved a problem for me. I am currently knitting a jumper and I don’t like the folded neckline. The Classic jumper solved it for me. So beautiful. Thank you
Quitting social media has brought me an increadable amount of serenity. Going on 5 years now and I refuse to go back. It was hard at first, for me it had an addiction element to it as well as other negitive effects, I can only speak for myself. Love your show.
So glad I found your pod cast.
I love watching you talk about your projects with such care and passion. You are so sweet. I really appreciate that you give us sources to find lovely yarns and patterns. Thank you.
Lots of beautiful shawls! You have been busy. Thank you for sharing your knitting life with us.
It was really inspiring again, but also……. I get the feeling that I should try to knit faster…… so many beautiful projects to make……
Well Nicole, (fellow 1970 baby here), you do make a lovely podcast!! I hope you get some enjoyment from putting them together. I’m totally in love with your Sunday scarf...
Hello Nicole,
Love your videos, so calming and inspiring.
Dear Nicole, what a treat to listen to your podcast once more, while knitting away on my Allium Cardigan. Thanks,
It’s good to know other minimal social media users are out there, so thank you for your openness, Nicole.

Hi
I hope.you don't find my message intrusive.
Minute 49 :)
And just today I bought the same book with the same attitude like you - as a treat myself gift, because I can and I want it in my life. Just can't wait to enjoy it soon...
Oh my what an inspirational person you are how lucky are we to have you in our lives Thankyou so much x
Yours is one of my favorites. Your knits are lovely. I want to knit everything you do. I love your Nicole shawl. Happy you are doing well.
The Nicole shawl is absolutely beautiful and how wonderfully special to have it designed with you in mind!
So great to catch up with you and all the yarny things in your world again. I feel reconnected to the wonderful side of knitting after I've viewed your podcast.
Thanks for your podcast. It's always a pleasure to spend an hour or so with you.
I know am behind on your episodes but I do enjoy watching. And I think this was one I truly enjoyed! All your beautiful projects, photo of you and your Mom, the clip of the yarn store, your discussion about IG and the book. 👍🏼
StitchedbyMimi
Take care!
I am really excited to see your Orchid cardigan project! That Hinterland seems to work perfectly with that pattern and I love the color!
Thankyou for being here to calm my soul when I need it
Hi NICOLE
I AM HAPPY THAT Y OU ARE STAYING ON. I REALLY LIKE YOUR WORK AND YOUR SONG THAT YOU SING IN THE BEGINNING. YES SOCIAL MEDIA IS NOT THAT IMP9RTANT TO ME.
So happy you're going to continue your podcasting.. Its a real comfort. 🌞
Nicole, so lovely to see you, it’s like knitting with a friend. Thank you for sharing your beautiful projects. You have inspired me to knit a half and half triangles wrap. Take care.
Hello 👋 i hope you're safe over there? I hope this month brings happiness prosperity love and peace 💞❤️🕊️🕊️ all over the world 🙏🌍

Hi Nicole! I always enjoy your podcasts. I love your color choices for the half & half and the hinterland shawls. Thanks for sharing! 😃
Christina
Enjoyed this video very much. Your knits are gorgeous. 😊
cleaning fleece, drinking wine, and listening to you ramble - a perfect evening. thank you for your video.
Such beauty here, as usual. Thank you so much for taking me away from the world for an interval.
