So nice to see you again. I'm glad you are feeling well. Your fair isle sweater is very beautiful. i love the colors. I too want to get better at spinning. It does require time and concentration to improve! Hopefully, after Christmas I will find some time for that. Thanks for the inspiration! The plants on your walk are so beautiful. Thank you!

What a truly inspiring and beautiful podcast. The bird that ate from your hand - oh my goodness!
For days now, the first thing I do in the morning is make myself a cup of coffee, turn the computer on and listen to another "The Gentle Knitter" podcast, with a white sheet of paper on hand to write down yet another pattern and/or yarn. Sometimes I go right into Ravelry and add another pattern to my cart.
I have been feeling too sick to go to work, but this routine has given me much serenity, thanks to your gentle voice, the projects in progress, the ones you finish, your beautiful surroundings, and sharing thoughts with us that come from the heart. I love the designs you choose, the colours and the yarns. I could knit them all!! Thank you for doing and sharing all that you do.
It would be nice to know how you first got into spinning and maybe give us a little demo of how you use your "moosie" spindle. I think spinning is something that I would like to get into.
Last but not least, I love the new intro. It is actually the only intro that I could hear. Since I live in Italy, my computer would automatically block out the old one. The song you sing and reminds me of tunes we were taught as kids in French class.

My husband and I love Shepherd's tea or Greek Mountain tea as we call it. In fact it is the only tea my husband drinks now. I usually buy it at a local Mediterranean deli but I was able to get seeds from SaltSpring Island Seeds and now grow it in my garden here in the Canadian Gulf Islands on the west coast of Canada. This years harvest was very good and we will be drinking our own tea for quite sometime.

I'm in Ottawa too. I'm a crazy knitter, love rustic yarns. I buy raw fleece, clean, dye, spin (beginner) wool. So happy to find your podcasts. Thank you for doing this. It's a lonely time for sure.

Thank you for your podcast. It is so peaceful and restive (my life now is anything but that ). I so enjoy seeing all you make and especially enjoyed the walk at the end. Fall is such a beautiful time of year. What a delightful surprise to see the chickadee eat from your palm. When I was a girl my father made friends with a chickadee in our yard and if we stood very still it would take seeds from our hand. Thank you for reminding me of that happy memory.

Hi, Nicole. This is a little note to let you know how grateful I am for all the beauty (essential beauty) you’ve share constantly from your podcasts. I watched them in orden from chapter one. By now I am on chapter 36. There was a change a few chapters ago... you changed the song you were using... and started using a song you sing by yourselve. Nicole... it is the most beautiful song, the sweetest song. There is something unspeakable in its beauty, something that exists from a very early time also embraced by the calm solitude of your voice. The fact that there are no musical instruments makes it a real and loving truth. Thank you, Nicole. It was very moving to hear it (as well as a surprise). I am sorry about my english. I write from Caracas, Venezuela. I didn't want the language to be a barrier to thanking you. I hope you are doing your best in this strange time. My best well-being wish to you.

Just found your channel. The intro song brought me back to my childhood and teen years growing up in Haiti. Singing all these French children/lullaby songs. As soon as you lifted your jar of tea, my son and I said, “Oh, it’s vounou!”, which is the Greek common name for shepherd’s tea. We drink it regularly throughout the winter, and it’s great for the immune system. Thanks for mentioning your source. Our local market is occasionally out of stock.

I live in the mountains of northwest Greece and the traditional tea you described is the main tea drunk here. But in this area it is called τσάι του βουνού, or mountain tea. It is easily gathered in the mountains and dried ready for winter. It is very healthy and with honey added is a local cold remedy. I love to drink a cup of it on a cold winter’s day.

Hello Nicole...I stumbled on your podcasts yesterday and, I must confess, I have been binge-watching! You are such a gentle soul and I can relate to your thoughts and feelings...I have an autoimmune illness with fibromyalgia and, most days, I feel I need peace and quiet, something to give me joy, calmness, mindfulness, cups of lovely herbal tea, simple pleasures...I haven't been knitting for a few years now as I have arthritis in my neck and hands but I am so swayed by your love of knitting, particularly shawl-making that, I might tentatively have another go...the ending of this podcast was beautiful...if this is your backyard - how lucky...were those Canada geese coming over to the UK for the winter? 😍 So pleased to have discovered you...stay well...blessings to you. Linda
