We love watching your videos . We thought about moving to Venice area from RI. We visited a relative in Palmetto two years ago. Explored St. Pete,Clearwater and down to Treasure Island. We checked out Sarasota and Siesta Key. So sad these beautiful areas got hit so hard. I hope this hurricane spares those areas. but it doesn't look good. Stay safe.
Keeping you both, and all Floridians, in my thoughts and prayers. So relieved you decided to leave the Tampa Bay area. Stay safe and please keep us all posted! ❤
Glad to hear you guys are going inland to Orlando. Hubby and I are in Naples. We are as prepared as we can be. We are more inland so just put up shutters and not in evacuation zone. Of course wind from Milton worries us. We booked SunSeeker Resort in Port Charlotte in December for my birthday based on your beautiful video. I hope that we all come out of this well and it's comforting just hearing from you guys ❤. Thank you for all you do.
It's heartbreaking to see what the people of Florida are going through. These storms are getting more intense with each passing decade. My prayers go out to everyone and hope for their safety.
Possible scenario; due to the wind shear from the cold front moved in from the north should diminish intensity, as it travels over warm water today likely to increase back to c5. With the wind shear from cold front it will likely slow back down, however the storm surge+ breadth of storm..the piles of debris becomes an issue. I have a friend in Parrish area in manatee County. You are making the right decision. Safe travels, much love and strength. Keeping u2 in my thoughts. Keep it real. Z
We're so happy that the worst case scenario did not play out for the Tampa Bay area, but there is definitely still far more damage around here than we'd ever wish to see.
Glad you are leaving and staying safe. But Ian did not hit Ft Myers beach, it hit further north in cape hazevand the islands off that. Went right over my house with winds at cat 5. Ft Myers got the flooding as was on the dirtyvside of storm. In the center, we had no flooding but lost front door, back windoband roof to name a few things. Still hadnt finished interior redecorating and kitchen
Never underestimate the fury of a Cat 5 or Cat 4 hurricane.....It reminds me Hurricane María here in Puerto Rico in 2017....The destruction was so massive and huge that it resembled the aftermath of a powerful atomic bomb explosion...In these cases, it takes years and and thousands of millions of dollars to rebuild everything!!! 😢
We definitely did not underestimate it, and fortunately it seems that most took this one very seriously. We're sorry to hear that you had to experience Maria first hand. That had to have been terrible.
Praying for u guys, and everyone in Florida. From back home in KC, be safe!
Glad you went! Praying for your safety💝
God bless you both. Praying for some miracles ❤
I’m so glad you opted to evacuate!!!
