For example, the thought process of little things that most wouldn't think of (the gates and fencing) and the things you've learned from previous hurricanes (jet skis and generator maintenance). To be honest the reason I like these Hurricane videos (beyond just seeing that you are all safe) is that they also help others see how to prepare for storms like these and what might happen as you go through them. Sure everyone's situation might be different from others but I believe going through it in person and seeing others handle these situations directly teaches people how to deal with them a lot better than just talking about the situations ever will. TLDR: Actions speak louder than words. Good Job keeping yourself and the rest of your family safe in this 👍

Thankfully you guys are ok, here in Jacksonville got bit of a storm surge. we are out of power currently and running on generators but we didn’t suffer any severe damage. Glad you guys didn’t have anything major that happened!

Glad you guys were ok. My mom lives in Fort Pierce in the Spanish lake area and they were devastated by the tornados. Her house was spared and she is ok but others lost their lives. So sad!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
In the future I would suggest just taking the gate off entirely. I know it’s a lot of hassle but if it breaks off and starts flying it’s can cause cause a lot of damage. You can also have caps wielded onto the floating dock to prevent it from rising above its supports.

I have a brother in Bradenton and a brother in St Pete. The brother in St Pete lost everything in the last hurricane. Luckily my brother in Bradenton had minimal damage in this hurricane. I love a safe hurricane video ❤❤❤ glad y’all stayed safe!

The warning sound got me because a few days ago (october 1st) - I live in Austria (Europe) - we got a test run on "AT Alert", a country-wide warning system where you get a warning on your phone without installing any app.
