    These boots should not be worn in the snow, even when treated they don't hold up. They are great on a cold, dry day.

      I’m in the Midwest and wear mine in snow all winter. I spray mine every fall to waterproof and it doesn’t change the color either. Mine are probably 12 ish years old! I have absolutely no regrets buying ugg! I also own a pair of bear paws, never again. Not soft, never wear them......and NEVER wear socks with Ugg’s!

    As an Aussie, I've always had ugg boots. Ugg trademarked the name "Ugg" and stopped all real Australian companies that made authentic uggs from using the name. It was sooo sad at the time (I think it was in the mid to late 90's). The small family owned businesses that produced real, quality handmade uggs had to start calling them sheepskin boots. I have a pair of real Australian uggs (sheepskin slippers) that I bought 13 years ago from a family owned business in country New South Wales (Australia) and I am still wearing them. Real uggs are made to last! I wear my uggs as house shoes in winter or on cold days, but rarely outside. Worn with clean feet and no socks, they don't smell. If I get a mark on my boot, I use a damp cloth to spot clean. So comfortable and kind to your feet. Really enjoyed this episode...thanks Milabu!

      I agree, I wish more people knew that authentic Australian made Ugg’s do exist, you just have to find them. It’s sad that 96% of Ugg’s bought are the ones made in China or Vietnam. 😭 Support Australian made Uggs 😊

      @@alexandersanchez8329 Yes, I still buy Australian, though I buy some cheaper US marketed ones, for fashion. If you want the best, though, I love UGG Since 1974, from Australia. Mine never fail, even after years. If you’re on a tight budget, I’ve bought Original UGG Boots Australia on sale for as low as $20 for an UGG shoe (real double faced sheepskin) or $55-70 for the classic boots for snow. Even not on sale, I’ve paid less than Decker UGG prices, even with the $35 US shipping fee. I make the best deal of my orders by pooling money with family members...I’ve turned my mom, sister, and boyfriend on to them. Then I buy a pair or two for gifts, if there’s a birthday or holiday coming up. I order 1 1:2 sizes SMALLER in both those brands than US sizes, though. Look for the Australian Made label, including on the website. There’s a fake site With a name nearly identical to Original UGG Boots Australia, so be careful! Look for the kangaroo in a triangle, and “Australian Made” on the tag.

    • @RebelAlliance42
      @RebelAlliance42 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It wasn't sold off though, the Aussie guy who first made them in Australia took the brand to California himself.

    • @uggassociationofaustralia128
      @uggassociationofaustralia128 2 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      @@RebelAlliance42 He didn't first make them, they were around probably before he was born. Ugg boots are a type of boot, not a brand. He just went to the USA and started marketing them there. He had a image trademark, which meant other people could use the word ugg, but not the exact logo he used. After Deckers Outdoor Corporation bought him out they somehow found a way to register the actual work. They then followed that up by aggressively suing all other ugg manufacturers and marketers.

    I have worn Bearpaw for years! I have 2 different pairs. I love them!! ❤️ Having kids, and living in the country I couldn’t bring myself to buy Ugg’s. My ex-sister-in-law had hers ruined by just coming to the house because of the mud, so that and the price of course prevented me from even trying Ugg’s. I do understand the tight feeling when you first get the Bearpaw’s, but if you size up at all they will end up too big when the shearling gets pushed down. Ultimately I will always own Bearpaw. ❤️

They also last sooo long, my sole has hardly worn even wearing them all the time in the winter. They are defo worth the price, other cheaper ones the ankles collapse. I own a pair of bearpaw. I will say they are true to size. They are tight at first but tends to stretch after a few wears. If you get them bigger they'll become too loose on your feet. When I first started wearing my bearpaws, I was sure I would need to replace them. I gave it a chance and now I live in them. I wear thick socks with mine, and I still find comfort wearing them. I can't compare them to Uggs as I've never owned a pair. When cleaning my bear paws I use magic erasers and the pink stuff paste accompanied with cool/cold water. Dab cold water on boots. Using pink stuff paste and magic erasers lightly buff out dirt and grime. Then rinse using clean magic eraser and water only. After I'm done cleaning them i put socks packing paper anything inside the boots to help keep the shape so they don't worp while air drying. (Stay away from heaters during the drying process. Heat will cause misshaping)

I live in Minnesota, where it gets below 0°F often, sometimes -30° to -50°F. UGGs are the best at keeping my feet warm & cozy. I had an early pair of Bear Paws that had faux fur: they made my feet sweat which created a really cold foot. Buy a couple of pairs of Kirklands and you’ll still spend less than the Uggs, have a couple of different looks and have very comfortable, warm boots.

    Just bought a new pair of UGGS. I have bought them over the years; I think they have cheapened the product and I was disappointed, they felt less plush, and cheap. Not as big of a fan as I used to be.

    Absolutely love my ALL my pairs of Uggs! I still have a pair I have had for more than 20 years of the boots I have, but I make sure not to wear them on the warmer slushier days. Living in Canada I make sure to wear them on much colder days where it isn't slushier, I have my Ugg rain boots for those days. As well I make sure to clean and water treat them every winter season helping with keeping them looking new. I have only worn through a single pair in the 30 plus years I have been buying Uggs and those lasted me ten years themselves, but I truly believe if they are taken care of regularly they will last an extremely long time to get your money's worth out of them.
    That being said, there are some decent cheaper replicas that can do you just as well.

    Great comparison! I love the close up shots to really see the difference in quality! If you're going to continue to review shoes, can you please look into proper terminology? It would help you to describe the parts of the shoes you're talking about (outsole instead of platform, heel counter instead of heel material, lining vs upper etc). Rose Anvil here on TH-cam taught me terminology and it's helped me as a consumer for sure!

    I’ve owned 3 pairs of ugg boots and they are so comfortable !!
    You need to buy the spray to keep them protected and lasts longer but they are definitely NOT snow ❄️ proof regardless if you spray them or not !!
    Don’t go skiing or snowboarding or snow shoeing with them !!
    They made a newer version of the ugg boots now that is waterproof or rain 🌧 boots !! I plan on getting them when my old ugg boots wear out !!

    I have a few different pairs of uggs and I love them. I have had one pair for about 8 - 10 years and I have worn that pair the most out of all of the pairs I have. Probably worn them at least 2 days a week. I am only just thinking that they are looking a bit shabby. UGG boots are definitely worth the money in my opinion. The cheaper versions that I’ve seen other people wear always end with their heel going over the. It heel when they walk and look terrible.

  • @orangelampshade

    Uggs are definitely the best! A suede protector and brush can keep them looking new for years. The soles last years & I walk alot. Wear them autumn to winter but not in bad snow as they aren't waterproof.

    I stopped at Famous Footwear to test out Bearpaw vs. Koolaburra by Ugg. I definitely love the feel of Bearpaw it was closest to the feel of Uggs. It's does have some weight to it but I feel it is not a problem to me. I did not like Koolaburra's to be honest. I had expecations to like them but didn't. Here's why I favored Bearpaws: if you live in the northern MidWest states (Minnesota where Im from) Bearpaw is where it's at. It's plushier and if you happen to stomp in some snow, you wouldn't feel seepage of moisture. Koolaburra's are best if you live in the Southern/warmer climate states and not as plushy and not-as-heavy feelingas a lot of the positive reviews I've read. Still an excellent boot, just depends where you are during the winter months! I've own black Uggs previously so I can attest to that!

    I love my UGGs, well worth every cent! Those who don't like them haven't tried them, because they are LUXURIOUS on the feet! I wear mine with a thin, cotton sock, but they are designed to be worn without socks.
    Edit; 2nd winter in my UGGs, and they still look like new, barely any wear on the sole, the lining is still fluffy, comfy, and warm, and I'm still wearing them everywhere...

    I have had Bearpaw's and uggs. The heel area deteriorate very quickly in the bearpaws within a few weeks of wearing. It caused massive blistering even with socks, and wouldn't protect even with waterproofing when shoveling because it would pool right in the creases. I've had uggs in the classic style with a foam type bottom and a rubber bottom and the rubber bottom is still going strong 6+ years later. I bought another pair that are more for winter and I love both pairs.

    I have both a pair of copy Uggs from Aldo purchased about a decade ago that really held up and a pair of real Uggs (the taller type with buttons on the side). I will issue this warning, since you talked about wearing Uggs on slushy days - they are not waterproof. I wore mine to go to work on a day where the weather was really mild, turning the snow to slush, and when I got to the office, my feet were soaked! So word to the wise, those are better suited for actual snow and colder days. The soles are also very slippery whenever the ground turns icy.

    LOVE my UGGs!! I’ve had mine 5 years and they’re the only boots that keep my feet warm here in the central NY snow. I also wear them outside in the Spring and Summer working in my garden and my feet don’t sweat and they barely look worn. The sole is very sturdy with a good tread and helps to avoid slipping in the snow. My UGGs have a metal label on the back heel so I wonder if the quality has slipped? But I recently bought a few other styles and they feel just as comfy, warm and well made...so not sure.

    UGG does have some styles that aren't so boxy. I have the driver/slippers with lots of rhinestones on the top, some tall ones that have some shape to them and fur & sheerling, and the classic but in grey with rhinestones and I think it's called Karina style. Don't wear socks with them and you'll stay warmer. The design is basically, you're home, barefoot, and ya gotta run out, ya pop 'em on and stay toasty warm. LOL I always heavily coat mine with protection spray and it's been ions now in snow and gunk and they look brand new still. If I'm gonna be walking in the store for an hr, I probably wouldn't wear them, but perfect for running errands and such. I got some sheerling insoles online for them that have arch support and put a pair in each of the ones I have (I have 4 pair) and they are pretty much indestructible and it's impossible to have cold feet in them. I've never found a 'dupe' pair that kept my feet warm, including Bear Paw. BTW, never wear a pair of Uggs outside before dousing them with waterproof protection spray before 1st wear and they'll last forever.
