    I have a 95 F150 302 4 x 4 burgundy color. It’s a manual new motor new transmission new clutch new clutch and brake pedal assembly radiator master cylinder, rebuilt, core shocks, new sprains I love this truck obviously or I wouldn’t spend so much money

      I love it!! I would recommend the 9” if you want the screen to fully tilt toward the driver instead of being flat and flush to the dash. But even flush to the dash it’s still 100% visible :)

    Nice, I did the sony floating face. I did 6 sundown 6.5x subs behind the seat on 2500 sundown amp, hertz speakers in the front doors and tweeters in the pillers with ebay speaker pods. 800 watt audio control processor up front and 400 watt processor to rear speakers. It's pretty impressive even with only 6.5 subs. Awesome video.

  • @Russell731
    @Russell731 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    On the usb thing having to be under 32gb, does that mean I wouldn’t be able to play music from my iPhone since it’s a 128gb iPhone?
    I know there’s two usb cords. One for Apple CarPlay/Android and one standard usb for charging. Are you talking about both usb cords on this or just the standard usb cord?
    Was just about to get this but that would be a deal breaker if I couldn’t use my iPhone due to its size.

    • @obsnation
      @obsnation  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      32gb max is for the USB drive reader only, the CarPlay/Android plug can handle any device size :) my iPhone is 512gb

    • @obsnation
      @obsnation  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That stereo should come with a metal sleeve that goes around the head unit. You’ll see that the sleeve has a lot of metal tabs that you can bend outward. Fully insert that sleeve into the opening in your dash. Take a small flat head screwdriver and bend those tabs outward as far as you can all the way around that sleeve to grab onto the inside of your dash. The tighter you can bend those tabs, the better your stereo will sit in the dash without rattling around. Once you’ve done that just giggle the sleeve with your hand to make sure it’s sturdy and doesn’t rattle cause the firmer that sleeve is, the sturdier the headunit will be from moving. Once you’ve confirmed the sleeve is securely mounted just take the head unit and slide it in and you’ll hear it click into place in the metal sleeve.

      @@obsnation got it! I was close, glad about your reply! Thank you!! There’s one more thing, when I put the sleeve in, it covers the beginning of the rail for the plastic clip that goes on the rear part of the head unit, should I trim the sleeve so that rail part is cleared? Or how did you make it work on that part? Thanks a lot again

    I’m going to be adding a system to my ‘95 F-150 because I love my Apple Car Play. In my 2017, I’m able to talk on the phone as I’m driving. Is this possible with this or do I need certain sound systems to allow this?

      There is a known issue where the other caller hears themselves in an echo on iOS 15 via CarPlay, I have not tried it on iOS 16 yet. However via Bluetooth thru the head unit and not using CarPlay works just fine :) In either instance you will need to use the microphone that the head unit comes with

    How stable is the screen when driving?
    Does is shake around?

    • @obsnation
      @obsnation  ปีที่แล้ว

      Solid as a rock, when you insert the head unit sleeve into the opening fold the tabs on it inward to lock the sleeve in place. That is what keeps the head unit sturdy for when you slide the head unit in and it locks in. It comes with 2 slider pins on each side to unlock it by pushing in 2 release tabs on that sleeve :)

    Does the radio have enough power?

    • @obsnation
      @obsnation  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It sure does!! 80 watts per channel and the EQ customization makes it even better. You can also boost volume at the same time on each input like radio, Bluetooth, CarPlay, etc.. which I like cause I may only boost Bluetooth audio by 3 or 4 steps but the FM radio I’ll boost to 7-8 because it’s lower quality

      You can also use an HDMI to RCA and connect a hidden fire stick with a tapped in 12v connection or get a flush mount hdmi/usb connection, hook it to the hdmi and usb chords, and like he said ground the parking brake. Then you will have the capabilities to connect whatever you want to the hdmi. Some times it can be finikey with high quality stuff but eventually you can get it to work. I ran that way a long time before I got the kw1000.

    I know I’m late but do you have to get a wire harness to wire it in or is it just plug and play

    • @obsnation
      @obsnation  ปีที่แล้ว

      So mine was basically plug n play because I already had a harness installed on the truck from the previous head unit. So all I had to do was reuse my current harness and color match the wires to the Boss harness. You can reuse a wire harness about 3-4 times depending on how much wire you snip each time LOL. But to answer your question, yes you will need one if you don’t have one installed already from another aftermarket head unit :)
